I un-installed do to, nobody needs to watch all the bad that is going on. it doesn't do any good to hear that. be positive helps me more than knowing all the bad that's happening and never stops.

constantly popping up even though I have not installed it. How do I get rid of it. If its blasted in my face causing my work to take longer than why should I trust it again. The dates are often wrong...breaking news? and in Phoenix when I am in Oregon. I tried to have it just give local news when I chick on it but it takes over control. I have had enough!!!

Update 09/28/2020: Latest version working smoother but many articles in the "Local" category are still sourced from Italy and are in Italian. I'm in California in the USA and this should be a simple fix. Apparently there's a city in Italy with the same name as my local city Lodi, but the app should NOT be confusing the two. This is just poor coding! App is still not ready for prime time.

Installed this b/c I saw reviews referring to a Self Install & wanted to say that I also had this problem with an unrelated app without any permissions and no ad activity prior too. I just happened to pick up my phone and before I could do anything and without touching the screen, a window pops up and disappeared and then another window pop tub and installed an app. I have been in touch with both Verizon and the app creator to find out what's going on... Happened on Samsung s21

I love being able to see local and other news going on around me because I can take more precaution in going in that area!!! Sometimes I just avoid the bad areas as well. It's really a great app to have so you know about crimes going on and know to avoid that area. Love this app!!!!

hate the news it's really difficult to watch

too many adverts gose over news and phone always get a virus warning when I check my security on my phone it's always comes up safe no virus found

I put in my zip code, but none of the news stories were from my area. There are 20 states with cities named the same as mine. Sadly, entering my zip code made no difference. Letting the app know my location didn't help, either. All the news this app gave were for other states. Definitely not helpful.

Ripping Off and Screen Shotting pictures from other sites ,that's why so blurry and cheap looking along with the stories, And if that isn't the ultimate cheek it hits you with Full Page Ads from the get go ,Security app on my Tablet found its phishing and trying to collect your personal data,Uninstalled Immediately Would have been 0 stars if possible. AVOID.

This is terrible. First was a commercial that locked up and you couldn't get out of. the problem. I have no interest in that commercial or its product being advertised. especially when locked up with that commercial and it's created a mess on my cell phone! 'm going to remove this app until you all decide that you'd rather sell fertilizer than give us the information when we, in good faith, trusted you. I'm going to tell as many people as possible about the scam you're running.

A little confused on the mix of old, some very old,like me...having difficulty following this such as dates.

I have tried to block this ad, but every time I open my phone, there they are. The name "local" is just deception. I downloaded them once, and got news from all over. Every time I opened up a story, my location got changed. Then I'd get stories every day from that area. I'm not that interested in 20 stories from East Podunk, Oklahoma. Please stop sending me these ads!

why this app needs permission to control full network, toggle sync on and off, plus more? I'd start pushing " all permissions" in top right after you see the few they tell you about without hiding 😊👏

I couldn't handle it for more than a few minutes. Too many ads. I tried to give it a chance and I can tolerate some click-bait links and ads, but video hijacks between articles I cannot. It's easier, faster, cleaner, and more efficient to use "add to homescreen" for shortcuts to my local news sites using Firefox. 2 stars because I did see an article from my County, but most were from out of state.

It would be worlds better if I could tell it which sources NOT to display. First time firing it up, and I was bombarded with... well, let's just say it was all "news" from a decidedly one-sided political position. Very off-putting. I guess I want Google News without the "amp" garbage. Maybe I'll check it out later when it's more fully-featured. Until then, uninstalling.
