Reviews for Logos: Deep Bible Study

Great app, generous amount of free stuff, of which the proprietary Lexam stuff is fantastic, syncs with your computer, free book each month, I like the format better than Olive Tree, and the stuff I am interested in tends to be cheaper in Logos.(I picked up the out of print Revival Bible for $16.) Be sure to hunt for all the free stuff available and "purchase" it in the store so it is yours. Would be nice if your phone's back button took you back to the previous page instead of closing the app.

The Logos app allows you to download the books that are available from their library. Some are free, others you pay for. They have a very extensive list of Christian material. Many are able to reference to one another when studying. The bad: It only will download to internal memory not to an sd card. This seriously hampered it for me. I finally had to uninstall it off of my phone and nook device even when limiting what I was downloading as my internal memory filled up. Still have desktopversion

I want to rate this app higher because I see it being an awesome Bible study tool, however the app for me is buggy sometimes. I'll be using some of the markup features (which I think are helpful and very cool) and then the app all of a sudden will do nothing else but let me read. I can't access the markups, the other tabs, the library nothing. Outside of that, when it works it seems to be very resourceful and packed with stuff.

The app works very well, there are a few issues I wish I could figure out. Primarily when it comes to copying a section and emailing it to a friend/myself it does not give me the source information like it does on Logos Bible software on my desktop. The other issue is I have not found a way to copy a quote onto a slide with a background. this is easily done on the desktop, but I do not think it is possible to do it on the phone.

Loving Logos so far, but the phone app is very slow and finicky. For instance, even though I have BDAG downloaded to my phone, if the internet has poor connection the search wheel will endlessly spin. But if I turn off my data, it pops up right away. Why should I have to turn the internet off in order for the app to work? Also, I accidentally highlighted a few words and now there is no possible way for me to remove the highlight. (I've already tried all the tips from Logos forums online).

Best of the best. I have been using logos for 20 years and the phone app for last 5 I guess. Language tools are essential! Even after years of Bible collage and seminary I need the tools to refresh my brain and help me. Logos makes it all super fast and smooth. I agree with others on highlights function... A simple undo highlights seems important but I can't find it. Other than that I love adding books and resources then you can search thru everything, boom. It does keep getting better!

Probably the Best Bible Software app out there. Maybe when I'm rich one day I'll be able to enjoy it to the fullest. Free Trial gives a taste of the tools. Only problem I have is the good books cost money, which of course they should, but the subscription to logos doesn't give a discount to the books. Think about Amazon's prime compared to its basic. Prime gives you free shipping and video ect. But here we're just getting the tools. not a deal breaker. Only complaint tbh.

Hard to use. For example, if I am in Genesis 2, it does not provide clear links to the other books in my library, the commentaries and translations. I have to find another book, and then look up the passage in that book. Very slow. And worse, it shows all sorts of books that I do not own. Plus I cannot get rid of books that I do own but are not very good or helpful

Going to a reference takes too many steps. If I want to go to John 3:16, for example, I can touch the reference at the top, find John in the list of all 66 books in a clutter of colors. Then chapter, then verse. The other option is to tap the search, type the reference, but it's not the top result, you have to go down to "table of content." I just think it's unintuitive, a few versions ago it worked perfect, but now it just takes so much work. Also, I'd like to be able to edit sermons.

Great app to have God's Word with me wherever I go! I appreciate the different Bible translations and use them in my Bible study to get a better understanding of the meaning of passages. The downside of the app is that there are no basic print/export functionalities. I learned the hard way when I entered my lesson notes and could not get them printed.
