As an amateur astronomer, I find Lunar HD a great adjunct with my observing sessions. Much better than a paper map. Finding a particular lunar feature with the search feature is a snap. Will enjoy looking at the moon much more now. Indispensable.
I loved the lite version, so I purchased the HD version too. No doubt it is amazing! But the main reason for which I purchased the HD version was that I wanted to see the terminator in real time, which comes across as a bland thin outline over the moon in this app…it was a […]

Title of my review says it all
Nice app..
A delight to use in the observatory.
Looking for any moon surface features with your finger tip.
Looks good but get download error and cannot install.
Great map but not much use at night as no night filter. Also it says there’s a far side map, erm…where?
This is an awesome app only let down by the fact it only has a simple line for the terminator. Had there been an option to choose between phase or the simple line this app would have got 5 stars. I just hope an update will be able to fix this as there would be […]
Very good to find the names of features (craters, domes, rilles, valleys, ghost craters, etc) you’re looking at. Gives you settings for viewing through different scopes, i.e. upside down, mirror image etc, so you don’t have to fiddle with it. Having it live with you at the scope is an asset to check that illusive […]
Mint.
Very Nice App .
I use it to identify features on the moon and see what is on the terminator.
Useful and can be further improved
Very useful and attractive app with nice features and additional map types to download.
Great product. Would be five stars if it had two features present in desktop lunar maps: 1) for those times when the weather forecast says I’ll have a few clear hours on Wednesday: the ability to set the date and time so I can see where the terminator will be in the future. 2) field-of-view […]
Brilliant for use at the telescope eyepiece. Would be improved by a lunar 100/200 checklist and a integrated lunar calendar/terminator to enable planning of future observing sessions.
HOW DO YOU ROTATE THE MOON???? Its the best app I’ve found to look at moon.i wished it was a little better when doing a zoom close in I’m always looking for inonomiles
