Reviews for Magic Diamond Painting-Gem Art
← Back to Magic Diamond Painting-Gem ArtI gave it 2 stars because it is fun, however, the ads are obnoxious, no new stories have been added or any new sets. Not only that, but there's not even any new pictures added either. Please add new pictures!!
ZiMad makes the best diamond painting and the best cross stitch game! My only issue is that on both, I can't open the sets tabs! It says I need to check my WiFi, at first I thought it didn't read my phone's data as WiFi so I turned my WiFi on and it still told me to check my WiFi! I hope this gets fixed cuz sets are my favorite parts of coloring games! Edit: The fix ZiMad gave me didn't work unfortunately, also another problem: Sometimes the daily pictures just won't unlock on the day it should
Since the newest update, all the daily pictures have changed, and I lost all the ones that I already completed. In April, a back to school picture and a snowboarding headghog don't seem to be appropriate for the time of year for daily pictures. Besides the daily pictures, the app runs great. Just would love my daily progress back and get more appropriate pictures for the time of year.
I love this game & play it everyday but there is a problem. The developers have started Interrupting every painting by giving players a "reward" for completing 33%, 60 % & 100 % of each painting. Which sounds great until you realize that you can no longer finish a painting without having 2 ads pop up in the middle of it. You have no option to refuse the "award" & every time you click it an annoying ad pops up. It's ruined this app for me which is why I changed my rating from 5 stars to 3.
Great app!! Love it, and have been playing it for awhile! Though I did somehow end up getting -295 coins (which makes it so i cant gain or spend coins anymore). When I first started playing, I used some of my starting coins to get the an artwork from the "World of magic" set and my coin count somehow got messed up, so I guess I can't buy stuff using coins anymore.
I've never done diamond painting in real life, but this game is very relaxing. There is no timer,no opponents to be wary of. You just paint beautiful pictures with your finger(s).The colors are numbered 1,2,3 etc.You start on 1,when you're done with all of 1's spots,it automatically changes to color 2.Super mellow and relaxing game.I may even try the real diamond painting now!
The ads, ad bubbles and coin pop ups are extremely annoying! There's zero reason why I shouldn't be able to paint a full picture without a million different types of pop ups interrupting me. It definitely makes the app unrelaxing like y'all claim it is. Fix the interruptions and this app will be fantastic! Fyi for those wondering: turning off wifi doesn't stop the pop ups and you're limited on what you can do with wifi off.
Decent coloring game, the graphics are pretty and applying the gems is easy. However, I'm giving it 3 stars now because ads pop up in the middle of coloring. I don't find that relaxing at all. I have no problem with ads when I'm finished with a picture. If this changes in the future, I will change my review.
Obnoxious mid-puzzle ads. Before and after puzzles is understandable, but they push "rewards" you can't refuse after finishing like 33% of the picture just so they can dump an ad on you. Do better. Update: bold-faced lies from the developers in the reply. I never watch ads for boosters. I just don't. There is no option to decline it. It's a forced "reward," of a small amount of in-game currency, followed by a little message of "you'll be returned to your game after this ad." Shame on you.
I actually like the game I do diamond painting so I do enjoy the game. I dont like the ads it's bad enough I have to watch them after every picture. Buy now I have to watch them when I do a certain amount of the picture. And I also don't like having to use diamonds to unlock pictures in the story mode. Turns out this app is like so many more they don't let you enjoy playing without trying to make you either spend money or watch endless ads.
Don't Bother! Not unless you LOVE ads. You get forced ads at least 5 times during each painting, then more if you have to leave to potty, & more to unlock items. I want to plat the game not watch the same old ads over & over and be forced to do so. This game isn't that much fun. I know ads help pay for free play, but this is a little excessive. Watch for the "I'm sorry you had a bad experience " response below. (They really aren't sorry, they are making bank.) Disabling ads cost money. Uninstall
I've been playing Zimad games for years. Every game I've tried works well, easy to play, laid out easy for player. Highly recommend all their games. This game is no exception. There's only one thing I would add. On the Magic Coloring game under my games there is a separate tab for finished and unfinished games. I think that would be helpful in this game.
My main complaint aside from the ads is not being able to go straight to an uncolored pictures. I have to go down a LONG list just to be able to color again. I average about 10+ picture daily. My suggestion would be to clear any colored picture out of all the sections aside from my artworks. I start coloring from the "ALL" section so it just takes a bit to get to the next one Please let this be available so it's easier for the people who do like the app get to color the pictures quicker. Thanks!
The ads used to be reasonable, but now they are borderline unbearable. I still like the app. I just wish the ads weren't popping up every 15 seconds. It makes it hard to even want to open the app at this point.. Edit: Okay. Put an ad at the beginning and the end of each image. You can keep the ones in between, but make them OPTIONAL. Which means, if someone selects that they don't want to watch an ad, then the ad WILL NOT pop up.
Game plays decent for the most part (it sometimes doesn't respond). Visuals are beautiful. There are two levels of ad removal which is confusing, the lower level doesn't actually remove all ads, but most of them. My biggest annoyance is that there is no way to directly save a picture (only send it) and there is no way to remove the logo from the final picture (would be great for an ad to remove option)
I enjoy this app very much, but the rate of ads is crazy. So many during the actual coloring and before/after each image. I know this is how y'all make money but I think I'd rather start each session watching a long ad or a few different ads then have 4-5 uninterrupted coring time. Overall tho, it's fun. I am debating purchasing the ad free experience but I like to give the ad longer than one day before doing so.
TOO MANY ADS! When you are coloring and you get to a percentage of the picture, it gives you coins and then makes you watch an ad before you can continue with your picture.....there are about 4 ads in one picture. You can't even enjoy coloring without the interruption. Same goes for Magic Cross Stitch. It use to not do that, only when you WANTED more gold coins and now you have no choice but to watch ads. I do not recommend. Play Best Fiends instead. There are ads but only when you want them.
Great game! However, there are no new pictures added. Once you done all, your only option is the picture of the day, and your own pictures. There used to be hidden pictures and puzzles and those features are no longer updated. After you finished with the 3 available stories there are no new added either. For players I recommend to at least complete the first level payment which removes most of the ads. It costs less than your coffee. It takes care of the banner ads and those after each game.
Interesting that my review disappeared! :( I love it, BUT... Swipe to color is the closest you can get to actual coloring without having to hold a crayon/marker with an arthritic hand. The BUT that knocks off two stars (and maybe even three) is that the coloring is interrupted with a "reward" for coloring a percentage of the picture about every 20 seconds, which destroys the experience of coloring. I purchased ad-free thinking it would take away the interruptions. It doesn't.
