Well, finally unistalling. Manta had a great subscription plan even with the increase. (people who paid the original price kept that price as well.) and could read everything available... now however they've taken a page from webtoons and other comic apps and added prices to each individual chapter as well as on top of paying for the monthly fee. I would rather pay a once a month higher fee than this ridiculous gem or coin system.

I have used this app for many years and had the membership for a long time, recently upgraded to the premium membership hoping to be able to view more stories and it's very annoying that I only gained access to some stories and now I have to purchase gems if I want to read other ones or even reread some in the past that I have already gone through that now cost gems -_- I'm close to cancelling my membership altogether and looking for a different comic app if they don't fix this.

Stories are good. But I hate the subscription thing, good price but i've never enjoyed paying for subscriptions because it feels like a waste of money. But if I'm being honest this app seems better than webtoon in terms of stories and art style. I wish unstead of subscriptions we would get an ad system, like watch one ad per episode, it would be worth it to me. I don't mind ads personally, and you could even keep the subscription part aswell and it would then also remove ads.

I pay a monthly fee and get unlimited reads all day. When they upped the prices, they kept mine the same, and it will stay the same unless I cancel, which I don't plan on anytime soon. Edit: They added the gems on top of the normal subscription, so my subscription no longer gives me free access to all series- only ones that don't require gems. It feels like a money grab: the OGs are forced to pay more for the same benefits we signed up for, even for old series! The stories are still good.

I used to love the Manta app. A small monthly subscription for access to their entire library, nothing being blocked by an additional paywall like other reading apps, it was great. Now it seems every new story added costs gems, and even some older stories, too! I'm seriously considering canceling my subscription and deleting the app once the stories I'm reading are finished—if I even care to finish them. I am just so disappointed and struggling to find things to read without gems. . .

I used to really love this app. I could read a ton of really great stories for free up until the most recent episodes. It was like a daily pass situation, and I did do a couple subscriptions this way, wanting to finish the series I was reading. However, now they've changed it to where you have to be in the subscription after the first 3 episodes. I will be uninstalling this app unless they change this.

I have loved this app for YEARS. However, it's making reading so hard right now, when I checked today (Monday); only FIVE out of the 25 series being updated, are not behind a gem paywall. I used to be able to read everything for only a couple of dollars a month, which was what drew me to the app in the first place. It's becoming extremely inaccessible now 💔💔

I used to adore this platform. great stories and a good price. then came the diamonds. I get it. You guys want to make a profit and offer a wider selection of stories, but the extra spent money sucks and is actually false advertising. I would attach my screenshot if I could, about you making one easy payment for great stories. BULL!!!! Instead of diamonds, you could offer membership tiers that unlock stories in full rather than chapter by chapter. this would offer far more affordability and flex

I loved this app while the gem stories weren't there. Manta used to stand out with its subscription, original content. But there are a bunch of extra pay to read stories available on other apps, so it's a pain to find the Manta originals I'm already paying for. As of this edit, only 3 of the 35 comics on the New page are sub-only. The remaining all cost gems. For a service that advertised having access to everything, to have less than 10% of the comics available to subs is a bait & switch.

I used to love the stories given that I had the subscription and could read everything, but now, almost all the stories require gems, and it's ridiculous. I understand they need to make money, but if I'm paying for a yearly subscription, you should at least receive some kind of gems or at least offer a gem based multi-monthly pass as well. Don't even get me started with the ridiculous "complete this survey for gems"! I've done multiple and never got any rewards, not a single time!
