So here's my honest take on Mantis Laser Academy. I've tested a bunch of shooting training apps and this one's pretty good. The automatic hit detection and scoring is super convenient, and the drills are actually challenging and help you improve your technique. The dueling mode is a nice social feature too. On the downside, it can get a bit repetitive after a while, and the free version has some annoying ads. But overall, it's a solid app that works well for casual practice or serious training.

Description

Been using Mantis Laser Academy for a couple months now. It’s basically a dry-fire laser training system that uses your phone’s camera to track your shots. Pretty solid app if you’re into improving your shooting skills.

Here’s what you do: you set up some smart targets around your home, then use the app to run through various drills and challenges. There’s also a dueling mode where you can compete against friends. Took me a while to figure that out but it’s pretty fun.

Look, if you’re into marksmanship and gun training, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades take forever at higher levels – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
