Reviews for Markup R-XP

← Back to Markup R-XP

I love this app. It allows me to import any grid/graph/pattern and be able to mark it off. I tried others but they only supported certain designers. Markup R-XP lets ne use my ouwn graphs and even those paper patterns I still have. Its symbol search function is pretty great too.

Takes forever to load. The zoom is very touchy. Shuts off for no reason. Worst thing is when you select a symbol - it does not highlight all of that symbol on the whole page - just some of them. So that makes it worthless for a pattern with popcorn stitches.

I really appreciate this app - I like writing down what I've stitched every day, and this has a calendar that shows me, which is really nice. if I were to give helpful feedback, while a pdf can be entered into the app, not every pdf will be liked by the app, but I don't know what behind the scenes you need to do to make it happy. this is well worth one annual fee :)

I just installed this app and it appears to be working fine except for the Pan/Zoom feature. It doesn't seem to be working properly or it could be user error, as I cannot find any information on how it's supposed to work. I think it's a toggle, but nothing I've tried is working. This would be a very important feature to have work properly.

Markup-RXP is similar to Pattern Keeper in moving about a pattern, marking/umarking stitches, & searching for symbols. But it is much more powerful. i consider PK to be a simplified version of Markup. I was amazed that Markup was able to accurately load a pattern from Scarlet Quince which PK will not do. (SQ has their own pattern marking software.) That alone is worth the subscription investment for me. Stitching stats are provided automatically...no more spreadsheets !! Definitely worth buying

Love this app. I have been using it for over a year now, and it is definitely worth the yearly subscription cost. If you really think about it, the cost comes out to just under $1.50 a month, so worth it IMO. The only thing I wish is that it could work across platforms, iOS and Android, which I know they are working on.

Really love the app and how useful it is for tracking stitches but unfortunately I can't justify the sudden price increase from $15.99/yr to $29.99/yr especially when I'm a casual user. Would be happy to pay less for a "lite" version that doesn't have so many features or could only store a limited amount of patterns at a time.

Amazing tool to have for cross stitchers! The ability to see a chart as a full image is the absolute BEST feature. You can also view each page individually. It is easy to tweak the grid if needed to get everything to line up nicely when initially uploading a new pattern. The auto symbol selection can be hit or miss, but I like setting up and selecting symbols manually. Lots of customization options. The Facebook group is invaluable, and the developer is active in helping to answer questions.

Great app with so many ways of using it! Fulfills all my cross stitching needs, although it takes a little moment to really get to know how to use it properly, but luckily the customer support are the sweetest people who are always ready to go beyond and above to help. Cant recommend enough:))

I love this app so much. It makes everything so much easier when doing a detailed cross stitch, but I use it for every project, big or small. I love that you can see how many stitches of each symbol are left, and being able to sort your projects into the categories (wishlist, kitted, doing, done) is great for keeping track of everything. One tiny issue I'm having is I can't select the menu (three dots) for the bottom right pattern in my list: the "add new project" button is blocking it.

For the most part I like the app, however, I'm doing a full coverage and I have to manually assign most of the symbols and sometimes the symbols are automatically assigned to the wrong color so i have to mannually reassign those colors too. It takes a very long time.

I bought this app and I watched the YouTube videos and it is impossible to upload and get the grid right on large dimensions charts or older charts. it's such a waste of money unless you have a PDF, I'm so unhappy with this purchase. I wish I could get my money back

The app is great, I love being able to track my stitching without having to deal with pages and pages of paper charts and getting confused with my progress. Although, it's very expensive for casual stitchers. I'm not sure I'll be renewing it for this reason.

If it was a one time payment it would be fine, but can companies stop with the subscription model. It just makes you look so greedy. Edit: I use a complex program that's an indie team makes, one time purchase and they can still make updates fine.🤭 Just cause everyone doing subscription models doesn't make it right.

This app has changed the way I cross stitch.... I used to only be able to stitch kits, the beautiful patterns that I found on the internet, I thought were just too hard! With this app, and all the instructions available, I have stitched 3 full coverage peices! Heirloom peices! No more balancing the pattern, the highlighters etc! I can zoom the app, so I can see the pattern, I can frog with confidence... It's easy to undo a marked stitch... I cannot say enough about how wonderful it is.....

Warning. If you are like me and do not do yearly subscriptions on apps, do not bother downloading this. It's a 2 week free trial and after that it's $20 a year. I never do subscriptions on apps because it is too easy to forget about them. Plus. While the app is worth $20. It is not worth $40... or $60... or $80... or $100+. As it adds up year after year. And I am not going to pay $20 to use an app for one year that I do not own. It's a great app, would buy it in a heartbeat. But you can't buy it

I really enjoyed this at first. I didn't realize it basically only works if you pay for it. I logged in a few days after installing and was told I only had so many trial days left. I assumed (apparently incorrectly) I would only lose access to being able to mark up the pattern. However, the app is completely unusable unless I pay $18 for an entire year. No monthly option. No free version or advertising based version. The cost seems a bit high for something you have to pay yearly.

Clunky and difficult to use compared to pattern keeper. Don't like the listing doesn't tell you it's a trial version so things don't work like being able to load your own charts, or you can't see the original pdf for backstitching. Only marks up in one colour, has to reload everything when you go into the chart. If you have used pattern keeper before don't bother with this product. It does have some neat features for tracking, but not worth the annual subscription in my opinion.

Edit. I can't find the order confirmation email from Google play and not listed in order history. So basically unhappy with myself for not saving the email when I purchased the first time. All in all a great app though. I paid for the app before it went subscription based. Now after the update it wants to charge me for the subscription price 10.99 year. I thought if we bought it before the change we wouldn't have to do the subscription. This is for the android version. Not happy.

I love the app but 20 bucks is kind of a lot to do the same thing a piece of paper could do. I probably won't resubscribe until the price comes down again. it was 12 bucks just a year or two ago... The app hasn't changed anywhere near enough to justify an 100% price increase in like 2 years.. edit: I see the devs telling other reviews that it's "less than a kit and it's how we keep it updated" but be real with yourselves, you haven't added any new features since I first started using it...
