It was great while it worked...for about a week. First tried to connect with Bluetooth...my phone said get the app. I got the app. The location info was turned off, and it worked. Until it needed an update. Turned on the location to troubleshoot. Constant firmware update failure, and now I have a $350 Stanmore II that doesn't work. Seems the app is the weak link. *update: I factory restarted the speaker and re-download the app but never finished speaker setup in the app. Now my speaker works.
Reviews for Marshall Bluetooth
All I can say is wow . Using the motif II ANC earbuds ( or Middleton) with this app is amazing. As a musician and listening to many genres I am really impressed. Crisp tones wether highs , lows or mids . Quite a punch in the bass if you adjust the EQ. Another Marshall standout. I also love how you can customize each earbud to your own preferences .
TRUST THE REVIEWS, DO NOT USE THIS APP!! Our Woburn II was working fine until we installed the app and it told us to update the firmware. Now there is no sound at all. Even after uninstalling the app, forgetting the bluetooth and factory resetting the speaker multiple times, we still can't get it to work. We've been in touch with customer service, but there appears to be no hope for it. Super bummed out about this.
So annoying! I have heard people talking about Marshall headphones, and I took the chance to purchase one when they were on sale. I was so excited to try it and downloaded the app to benefit from all the features. However, the app keeps looping, looking for my headphones. I have deleted the app and installed it again, but it still doesn't seem to be working. Negative star if I could give!
Was good, now doesn't work. I like the EQ and anc functions for my MOTIF'S except the app is stuck in a forever loop trying to recognize them. Phone is synced and works. I can't use the touch controls on the physical buds anymore since I can't change the settings without the app. So they're basically 1990ies headphones without the wire now. Not great.
Recent "update" completely broke the app. Finds device (Woburn III), "connects", but then app gets stuck in an infinite loading loop. Cannot edit equalizer, cannot edit placement compensation. And, without the placement compensation settings I was able to previously use, the speaker genuinely sounds mediocre. Unfortunate, used to really like the speaker and app.
I am joining a growing list of users who cannot connect to the app on my Pixel 8 Pro. When I first connect to the Marshal Emberton directly from the phone Bluetooth, it works and sounds great. Trying to connect with the app disconnects the connection and, like others, I get stuck in an infinite loop where the app will not connect. Please help!
Never buy another Marshall product! I've been trying for the last 3 months to connect The Marshall app to the Middleton speaker. And it keeps removing the speaker after I've paired it to my device. Then it keeps "searching" on a continuous loop forever until it just craps out. Just because people know how to make a good speaker doesn't mean that they know a damn thing about software. And they're still no fix. That's BS!
Stanmore II speaker won't even play without it? Really? This app shouldn't exist, it shouldn't even be necessary. Not at *this* price point. Unfortunately this cheese bloatware means this definitely won't be my go-to home speaker for much longer as a result, which is a terrible shame... It sounds excellent. But it's a fight to start this thing up every time, and I'm not gonna having it for much longer...
Adding my own thoughts to the list of bad reviews. I just opened the speaker and couldn't figure out why the app sent me into an endless loop of pairing and connecting to the speaker. If you have an Android phone on v14 you will not be able to use the app. So, don't plan on buying multiple speakers to "stack" because that won't work. Also, no equalizer control without the app, so I hope you like the default tone.
