Fails to open when installed in my work profile. "MARTA keeps closing". The UI looks like something from 1980. I was expecting things to marquee off the screen. When I click the right hand icon (the map i on?) I get to a map with local bus? stops highlighted. But can't select a metro station to see things like where the line goes, when the next train arrives, etc. Sad and lazy effort I'm afraid.
Reviews for MARTA On the Go
← Back to MARTA On the GoFinally, you can see the next train, both directions at all stations. Now, please replace the streetcar finder with the same map for the buses that show it moving on the map. Put in a start and stop, and it never says how long until the next streetcar. Although, it's usually on time. When will the green line be restored to going all the way to Candler? The beltline is better accessed from Inman Park. It's 25 mins between blue trains as the green line isn't an option past Kings Memorial.
I really like that this app gives you real time bus arrival. It helps with the wait time outside, especially if it's hot!
An app is only as good as its support and its company. Unfortunately its company is MARTA which is a low budget city transit company at best. Next train arrival times are typically wrong, a schedule is only good if you stick to it. it's ok if you want a schedule to give you an idea, just dont rely on it to get you anywhere on time. as far as the five star reviews go, they are most likely fake, clustered and no comment is a sure sign of employees.
Nice app. It gives you the basic information you need like the bus schedules, especially, it's great at keeping up with train schedules. The app really comes short with the way cancellation info is organised and displayed in the bus "Alert" page of the app. I think the culprit of this issue is the UX design. Marta's UX design team really needs to improve the information display on that page just to enhance the user experience of the users while accessing the Alert page.
About as reliable as their trains. Lots of ghost trains they say are running but aren't.
App crashes constantly with no error messages or any reason given
The app is just not working for me. The bottom portion is completely not working
crashes all the time. bus tracking not consistent
bus app not working rider alert shows on the bottom of the app and white screen. Marta not letting customers know about the bus app
It's far better to use, Google map, app, the GPS system installed has time really, around 30-120 seconds. App and system needs to be upgraded in buses. Where as trains looks goods, only signs on the train stations, specially the platform numbers electronic boards numbers should be increased and must positioned at eye catch location, Oops if it's not done, the ??? ☝️, Event @2026 will be ??? 🤲
Not allowing you to select buses. All the buttons are situated over the phone buttons and if you push for the bus it sends your phone to show all the open apps. Continuously crashes or freezes the phone.
The Marta app provides convenient features for tracking bus arrival times and determining bus locations to prevent unexpected delays. One limitation of the app is its difficulty accurately displaying the number of buses on the map, which can be frustrating. This issue may lead to confusion when trying to catch an early bus that is not visible on the map, potentially causing users to mistakenly think the bus is running late when they have actually missed it.
Used MARTA briefly while my car was in the shop. The app itself isn't horrible, but MARTA as a whole is. Uses are constantly running late (without notifications), causing you to miss connecting buses at the stations. The other day, my bus was running late and just blew through the station without stopping to pick up passengers or even slow down. You tell a supervisor at the station, and they are just like, "Oh well." The commute that would take me 30-40 minutes by car is 3 hours+ by 2 buses
This app promises so much and delivers so little. The "real-time bus locator" does not work. Sometimes no buses will show on routes; other times it is so inaccurate that it is useless or even harmful messing up your schedule. The "next train locator" is much better but not available some of the time. I've sent emails to MARTA on this and they give a canned response or none at all.
I don't have trouble navigating the trains with this app. It helps me know when they arrive, which one to take, and lets me know my breezecard balance. It even has a map of the whole train system. The choices for finding out about bus schedules and times is few. sure, you have the number and title, but I would like to se more ways to display that info.
Has a real time bus tracker, but that only works if the bus drivers turn the bus transponders on. Also, periodically (maybe 3 to 4 times a year) the bus tracker does not work at all and causes the whole app to crash for days before they fix the problem. A lot of times, you are better off using Google maps go track the actual bus arrival time.
There are just too many updates, the app takes up more & more storage space on my phone and nothing has improved. As for tracking missing buses, their actual locations, disabled buses, etc., just let your committed weekly riders know what's going on with missing buses that are not cancelled or in stealth mode... Meaning you see them on the map, they disappear and then may or may not reappear. Now its the issue of using the "Real Time" bus route tracking and the app closes every time. 🤬🤬🤬
When it works it's great. But the alerts no longer work. Just says my device may have a connection problem though I've tried it on 5G, wifi, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted the phone multiple times. The real time bus updates are helpful when you don't know if it's actually going to come or not. Overall, you have to use this, Google maps, and the website just to figure out a workable route.
It's very poorly laid out. it appears to be everything you want except when you try to find something as simple as parking options you find nothing. They have long-term parking but how to confirm where it us??? After 30 minutes of trying to figure out how to get to the airport. ( an excellent YouTube encourages you to get the app) I gave up. We live in a time of online communication. There is NO EXCUSE for getting this important process wrong.
