Edit: From 4☆ to 3☆ - Unfortunately, what they don't let you know up front is that the app does not have the ability to sync across devices. They said they that they are working on it, but an app should have that as a basic feature before being released, especially if it's a paid app. I bought the year's subscription and installed it first on my secondary phone. I have not been able to restore my account it to my primary phone. The restore option fails, and the help feature won't work.
Reviews for Me+ Lifestyle Routine
← Back to Me+ Lifestyle RoutineThe number of grammatical errors all over the platform makes me question it's credibility, especially when it claims to be science driven in the intro. It asks a lot of questions to start, so I thought it would be personalized, but once you finally pass the marketing pages and get in the app, it's not. And as someone trying to fight distractions, there is too much content to wade through, most of which I can find online for free. This seems to be a very bloated to-do list.
Update: i gave it a second chance. There are just so many bugs. Notifications not notifying. Or being way off of the time. It would be fine. But it just doesn't work consistently. Original: The notifications stopped working the day after I installed the app. Making it basically useless. And the free trial wasn't a free trial. I dont know if there was a way to do it and I missed it. But either way, it was def a bit scammy. Esp that the app doesn't work properly
False advertising...I downloaded this app because I saw an ad that made it look like it had a different approach to cleaning (ex: pick up all green and blue items in the room, then pick up everything to do with food, etc) that would break down the tasks for me to make cleaning manageable. NOPE! You have to make tasks your self, and as far as I can see the ad I saw is not something the app does for you. You have to list and create routines yourself. Premium subscription does not change this.
I like the idea of the app. I like the reminders. I like the recommended to-do lists. Except the reminders are about 2 hours late. I downloaded the app because of an ad that showed someone cleaning their room, but that specific "list" is not available in the app. I blew $20 for a year of this app and it crashes every minute and a half. What the heck? Can I cancel my account before I Uninstall? Wouldn't want it to automatically charge me in 11 months.
Reminders are late. About an hour, sometimes 40minutes. It takes forever to set up but there a few templates to help but they aren't actually that helpful. All the sounds and meditations just stop after maybe 5 minutes. Some don't even have sound when you click on them. If you miss a day tracking you mood it doesn't let you go back and add it. Somethings are locked even though you paid to use it. An absolute waste of money. I wish I read some reviews before downloading.
I love that this app reminds you to just focus on today when I try and jump ahead and complete tasks for tomorrow. it also offers mental health options if you're feeling low, and gives options for things to help improve your outlook such as a workout or meditation. the water reminder is also very helpful. I have been using it a week and love it.
Update: Customer service was able to work with me on cancelation and a refund, so I do appreciate that. This app probably works well for some, it just wasn't right for me. I signed up for the free trial and decided not to continue a subscription after the trial period. No where within the app is there an option to "cancel subscription." No confirmation email when I signed up for the free trial. I was frustrated with the process of cancelling my subscription.
Biggest disappointment - 7 day free trial, "we will let you know when you have 2 days left"... Good thing I remembered, I was 2 hours from being charged for a subscription service (zero notifications in app or via email). Besides feeling deceived, this app isn't structured enough for me, and my only 2 daily goals were to get out of bed and take my medicine for 6 days. Other apps prompt me to expand my habit building routines which are better suited for my needs.
I love this app! Overall, it's a great setup, and it motivates me to work out more. I love all the health advice and schedules. Very helpful. However, there's a lot of things you have to pay for, which is quite upsetting. Also, when I try to sign up, it keeps saying "data sync failed." Do I have lose all my data just to create an account? It's very upsetting that I would have to delete everything I've set up just for an account. Anyway, it's a genuinely great app.
I have tried several different apps, and this one has worked best for me. If I don't get to a task, I can shift it to another day or skip it. There isn't any shaming of "ohh you didn't check off enough of your tasks..." so you just try again the next day. There are tons of ways to help build your tasks if you don't know where to start, too. If you have ADHD, just start small so you're not overwhelmed. Plus, getting the sub is $20 for a year if you want to sub for extra access.
Honestly, it's a pretty cool little app... BUT I turned off reminders to drink water and I STILL get notifications to drink water extremely frequently. It feels like every hour it's sending me a notification. I'm about to block notifications from the app altogether, the problem with that is I won't be able to get notifications for other things like to log my mood. Otherwise, I've been enjoying the app. I think my favorite feature is the 100 ways to love yourself task generator.
This is such a gimmick. Same as every other app, they ask you a bunch of questions to manipulate you into paying the yearly fee. Then you've got an app full on nonsense and no direction. Like, "Yay, you should definitely make sure you get up early," just a bunch of things we already know we need to change. The app ad was so misleading, as if you'd be given direction and lists, but there are an overwhelming amount of gimmicky things to click, to the point that you're more overwhelmed. So silly.
Damn, I was loving this on the first full day. By day two I was boiling with frustration. It took SO MUCH TIME to setup my routine list in the order I wanted, mainly bc the UI is poorly built to drag and drop. You have to drag and drop a few steps at a time. I get my routine list exactly the way I want it to not feel overwhelming and the next day, the few items I didn't get to are at the top of the list instead of the bottom. No. No, no, no. Immediately, this isn't the app for me.
First, the moment you open the app it wants you to pick a pay schedule to start the week trial. Fine. I picked the year for $20. I'd have a week to get used to the app and see if I like it. Nope. got an alert right there my credit card was instantly charged. no trial. no trying the app first. no refunds. absolute scam. would be fine if the app was good, but is terrible and difficult to navigate. doesn't even have the diet calendar I searched for and was advertised.
All the recordings stop abruptly about five minutes in before finishing?! I liked the app so much when I first downloaded it that I paid for thebannual subscription. The to-do list is fine, fairly standard, but I felt like the catalog of meditation, soundtracks, etc., were worth the price. Unfortunately, every one of them stops about five minutes in. There must be a glitch. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but it keeps doing it. If they don't get it fixed, I won't renew my subscription.
Really really liked this app. It's been really helpful. I've been using it since December and found I was getting a lot more things done every day. But then my phone died & I had to get a new one. Reinstalled the app, signed in & everything is gone....my tasks, my points, my stats, etc. Is that what's supposed to happen or am I missing something?
7 day free trial is a lie! I was charged immediately! and then they ask for a review as soon as you get started when you haven't even had a chance to use the app! sussy! This is a scam, please read all the 1 and 2 star reviews! Total Bait and Switch! Even their response doesnt justify their misleading advertisement of a free 7 day trial and why I was immediately charged!
Well organized and worth the cost, mostly. Enough with the therapy and "free" app offers. Also, now there's a bug where when you're adding a new task, whether or not it shows up and adds to your list is a 50/50. When it works though, it's a really good reminder app, better than any I've ever used.
This is a basic to-do list app dressed up a bit. There's nothing particularly special about. It's got a library of mental health content, I guess, but I didn't find it to be especially well integrated to the app's to-do functions. Worst of all, my notifications don't come at the time I schedule them. When I wake up, I have notifications for everything in my morning routine because they all went off before my scheduled wake-up time.
