This app let me create digital versions of all the recipes in my recipe book. It is a time commitment to put all your recipes in manually, one ingredient at a time, but well, WELL worth it. With all of them loaded in, I just click the ones I want for each day of the week and auto-load the ingredients to the shopping list. A simple tap checks each item off my list as I put it in my cart. I don't use grocery lists or meal planning charts anymore - this kills all the birds with one stone.
Reviews for Meal Planner & Recipe Keeper
← Back to Meal Planner & Recipe KeeperWonderful app. Not only does this app keep all of my recipes, but it gives me all of the nutrition info which is great for meal planning on a diet. And it creates my shopping list for me. I bought the annual membership which is absolutely worth every penny. Also, customer support is amazing! When I had an issue my email was answered in less than an hour with a solution. I can not recommend this app enough!
I'm trying to start eating better and go to the gym to get into shape. I'm young, not a very good cook, and struggle to find the motivation when it comes to eating healthy regularly. This app absolutely blows my mind, and really helps me get over the overwhelming feeling I have around cooking. Fenominal job! For anyone struggling with the app, I would recommend pulling some recipes from Hello Fresh.
Fantastic so far. I am using 2 separate apps right now because the other (Kitchen Pal) is great for inventorying my fridge, freezers, and pantry, but it's other features are not functional for me personally. I love that with Stashcook I can transfer over whole or partial ingredients lists to my shopping list. I love the way this whole app is set up. I only wish this one had a way to track inventory so I didn't have to use 2 apps. Please don't change anything else though!! I LOVE the layout.
I have been using this app for about 6 months and I really like it. My favorite part is that when I find a recipe on line that I like, I can share with the app and store it for later, even if the recipe is one of those that has the actual recipe buried in a bunch of ads, the app will do the work and import just the recipe. Sometimes the ingredients list is missing the fractions, but even when that happens, the app also downloads the original link so I can go back and get it and easily edit.
I tried two other meal planning apps as well, but ultimately chose Stashcook. It has all the time-saving options I want, but is still easy to use and simple to navigate. No excess stuff I didn't need (meh recipes) or adds trying to sell me something. Love it! It's has helped ease the dinnertime drama in my house of "What should we have tonight?".
Very very good program. Well thought out and organized. Seamless from pulling down recipes, moving to different collections, shopping list and meal planners. Would be cool to see an account that could keep recipes cross platform - say from my phone to my Fire so i didnt have to use just one device to add to my recipe book. Also, sharing to an email - either the recipe or shopping list. my wife works next to a grocery store - be able to email her the shopping list. Best in class i have found!
Please add a widget! I love everything about this app, and I WISH IT HAD a WIDGET! I struggle to remember to start dinner because life gets so busy. but I am consistently looking at my phone throughout the day. If this app had a widget with a photo of what was on the menu, it would be just what I need to remember, " I need to pull the chicken out to defrosted, or I need to start the crockpot 5 hours before dinner". Also, a reminder/ notification alarm that you could set up would be so awesome.
Using this app has saved time, money, and food waste. I can save recipes from anywhere and search through my saved recipes easily and even by ingredient! If I have something I need to use up, I can search through my saved recipes to make a delicious meal. Love that! I also love the shopping list feature and how easy it is to make my grocery lists. Clicking on each item in the list shows which recipe it goes to, so simple! Meal planning has never been easier. And that's only half of it!
Such a useful app! I was just complaining about recipe sites that make it so hard to get the one thing you went for: the darn recipe! Between pop up ads and bloggers' lengthy anecdotes, I'd just about give up trying to reach it. This completely takes care of that for me. I'd honestly give this a 4.5/5. The half point is because I wish I could have multiple grocery lists (one for each store I tend to go to).
This app has saved me so much time, money, and stress. We eat like we are in a restaurant and our grocery budget has been slashed in half. I have taken on side gigs of cooking/baking, and can still feed my own family every night. The features are so well thought out and helpful- adjusting ingredient amounts, searching recipes by ingredient, and making grocery lists directly from the recipes. It is extremely user friendly and intuitive, I share the app with everybody I can. So life-changing!
This app might be just what I was looking for. Fairly simple and straightforward, intuitive, and even polite about its ads. Please please please though, if you ever decide to set a recipe limit, give us an easy to use method to move a ton of recipes to a PC or something. I'm currently struggling to get my 200+ recipes and many other notes off of Evernote. 😭😅
We've been looking for an app like this for a really long time! We wanted to digitize all of our old paper/family recipes and organize with new ones. My favorite feature is the "cook mode" that allows me to see the list of ingredients and step-by-step methods separately and lock my screen so I don't have to touch it with messy hands! Bonus feature is the ability to share recipes with our family and add the ingredients to a shopping list for the week! Highly recommend!!!
loved it, bought it, not loving it now. I paid for the annual subscription, and the updates were great. now all I can do is save 1 receipe before it crashes, or go blacks, or stalls. I then have to close it and reopen to save a new recipe. was thinking lifetime purchase but not if I don't have continual use without all the crashing.
I didnt purchase this but I was charged for it. I did download the app but I never set it up. and my bank account was charged $32.08. I've reached out to the merchant but haven't heard back, but I was just reading how there is a "no refund policy".. which is completely unfair. buttons are accidentally pushed sometimes. and you should not be charged for a mistake. especially if the product/service/app was never used. I'm hoping the developers will do the right thing. signed frustrated/hopeful
for the brief, like 20 mins that I had the app, it was great with screenshot recipes. Horrible with pulling recipes from Facebook. Those always saved as "web page not available" or something of that sort. Also, I tried the free version. I thought it was features related, not recipe amount limited. Meaning after 3 saved recipes I couldn't save anymore and was required to pay if I wanted to save more recipes. That wasn't worth it for me and I deleted the app. The app also froze up on me alot (5x).
I love this app. Just upgraded to the lifetime subscription. so easy to bring in recipes from social media platforms, screenshot etc. I love that you can easily adjust the serving size and easily go back to the original website. my family uses the shopping feature to centralize our weekly needs. its also super easy to plan out the week and shopping right in the app! you won't regret buying this!
I have been using this app for years: I have simply LOVED the easy to use features and stashing for all of my internet recipes. However, this year, I had to get a new phone. I signed into my account on my new phone and discovered every single one of my 100+ recipes were gone. I've tried contacting their support system multiple times but only gotten 1 response and nothing after that. So....stashcook is a great app. BUT you might want to have a backup for all your recipes just be warned.
This is the most useful app I have ever down loaded. Previously I would see recipes on TikTok, YouTube, etc and always want to make the dish only to not be able to find the video again. This app makes it so easy. It gives me the recipe and ingrediants needed. I can save the recipe under side dish, dessert, pasta and more. I love this app and paid for the premium. I can even have the app prepare a shopping list for the dishes I want to make. l love this app!!!
I got the only subscription allowable which made is seem as though you have to have it for the app to work. later was charged over $50 to find there are a total of 4 options. one being free and don't need to pay for the app to work. another being 80 for a life time subscription. another being 7.99 per month and the one I got charged $50 now shows that it us only 29 annually, but displays that I'll continue to be charged $50 every year? Deceitful scam.
