I have so many medical issues that this could really save my life for me. I think is very valuable. I had to upgrade to premium so I could have the double tap on the lock screen. That way people would be able to see it was there. Very wise choice of an app to develop. Good job, however the floating icon disappeared off the homescreen and I cant get it back and I need it. It is still on the lock screen though.
Reviews for Medical ID (premium)
← Back to Medical ID (premium)Easy! i absolutely LOVE this app. It has been used at the hospital and drs offices for me and my parents. It's the one app that is worth the upgrade so I could add their profiles and medical info. The only change I'd like is that I'd like it to put all the prifiles on when you unlock it from the lock svreen so they csn choose the profiles needed. esp for our meds. If mom, dad, and I are together and something happens, the EMT needs to be able to access all the profiles. but great work!
It's a great app & necessary app to have & I recommend it to all my friends! However one improvement I would like to see in the future is an option to upload & store images (such as of driver's licenses & health insurance cards) & important documents (such as advanced directives). Thank you for all your hard work on this app & keeping it up to date!
This app is quite handy. You can secure your information using password protection that you include on your medical alert jewelry. It gives emergency medical personnel an encapsulated medical history, drug list, allergies, and much more. I added links to my medical POA, DL, and insurance cards. I listed emergency contacts that conveniently show up as direct-dial links. Even better, the emergency medical personnel can access this app from the lock screen when you set the permissions that way.
A great app that does what I would expect. It works very well, & includes most of the information that I would want it to. all the needed information is there, & available for those who need it, such as Ambulance, Hospitals etc. I do have a couple suggestions that will make it better, & help emergency services. there needs to be a section that lists people who may need to be contacted, such as next of kin, & my family doctor (GP). Sure there's a button to SMS people, but no actual list.
Great app!! All my info in one place. I don't have to worry about bringing all kinds of papers to doctor appointments, or try to remember what meds I take, how much, and when. It's all right here. Great for emergencies too!! My only problem is that it's showing the wrong address for my house, due to city renumbering of houses years ago.
Awesome app. I got to use it in real life recently : when the ambulance crew started asking questions, I just handed them the phone. Really appreciate the available weight and height conversions -- I was asked several times, it's really handy. One additional feature I'd like to see : attachments. If I could add PDFs of my stent placement cards I could stop stuffing my wallet with them.
2017 So far seems good ! I just loaded this a couple of days ago and set it up with emergency information which is easy to do. The only thing I might change is a contact field where the phone number is called by activating the number while in the app. UPDATE:1/19 I've gone from Android to iPhone and now back to a new Android... I wish there were a way for the app account to retain the information, because I have to reenter everything. Also, I'm no longer seeing anywhere to add phone numbers.
This app has been incredibly helpful! I paid for the premium perks and I have zero regrets! Keeping track of over a dozen medications, multiple conditions, and emergency contacts has been a challenge before. Now I'm able to access my information quickly and easily, and I've taught everyone I'm close with how to use the lockscreen feature in case of emergency! I highly recommend getting MedicalID, it's absolutely worth it.
A really nice App with lots of useful info for an emergency. I'm using it with a Huawei P20Pro with the Microsoft Launcher: On this phone, the persistent notification method on the lock-screen appears but won't work as tapping it will not open the App unless the phone is unlocked (which it wouldn't normally be in an emergency). Using the overlay method instead does work well provided that you go into the Settings | Battery | App Launch options and set it to manual (so that it can run in the background without being suspended by the OS). A minor point is that the overlay method uses the home screen background, not the lock screen background, which it should. More importantly, there also needs to be an option not to display the overlay when the phone is unlocked (as it is not needed). I use the phone with Face ID to automatically unlock it when you look at the screen and having to dismiss the ICE overlay manually every time is slightly irritating. Sort that out and it would get a fifth star.
Since paying for it I can't configure the emergency contacts. The app cycles for 2 attempts back to the menu then crashes on the 3rd attempt. There is no error code to share. This was the main reason of purchase, the free version seem to everything else I wanted. I've updated my OS, restarted, checked permissions, made sure the apps updated. Please resolve.
out of all other four emergency apps I have tried this is the best I have found. I have actually bought the full version twice to put on two different phones. there is one things I would change if it were me. I would have it where the sound that is heard on the receiving phone when an alert is cent could be changeable where the alert could be distinguished from others
I have a complicated medical history and extensive list of drugs, so it is reassuring to know that any first responder or medical personnel have access to the basics necessary to avoid harming rather than helping. Would like a better set up with more sections extant rather than having to create them all myself, though.
I tried the free version and liked what I saw, so I decided to go with the paid version to open the rest of the app. I was disappointed to find that It downloaded a new version instead of just upgrading the app. Not being able to make a backup or importing data from the free version, I had to re-enter everything I had done. Had it not been for not being able to import date from the free version, I would have rated it a 5. My brother is now also using it.
I really want to like this app better, but it has one major problem. The main reason I bought this was for the lock screen widget. But even though I've turned on accessibility for the app, it keeps getting turned off. It also doesn't show up in the installed app list when I try to set it to never sleep. If the dev can fix the accessibility issue, 5 stars. But it's not much use if the widget disappears just when it's most needed.
Love this app. It has a free and a paid version. Definitely worth the paid. With the paid version there are No ads and can if synced with contacts, list your emergency contacts at the bottom under medical notes. Then, First responders can call your emergency contacts straight from the app even though phones locked. You can also share your information via email or print. I emailed a copy to each of my emergency contacts just in case. It's also great to print a copy for doctors appointments. The only thing to make this better would be the ability to update it via computer. For someone like me whose meds change a lot due to a complex medical history, it is sometimes hard to make the changes on the phone...
Could not love this much more than I do as is!! Easy customization. Intuitive. All the room you need to add thorough and detailed records. Easy use for rescue personal or the average stranger who may be near you in an emergency and see your phone. The HELP page is terrifically easy and thorough and PHONE BASED, so you can quickly and easily fix any things in your phone's software that might try to himder the app. Absolutely amazed by it. No I do not work for them.
i purchased this after using the free version for a year or so. Problem is, when i got another phone running Android Oreo the task killer was killing the app so frequently that it would only work properly for a few hours, and then i would have to set everything up again. So it proved to be totally useless to me. I've downgraded it to 3 stars. I have upgraded to 4 stars, because the problem lies with android and not the app. Too bad I cant use it. I think it's the best of the bunch.
I have a complicated medical history, multiple conditions, and take a plethora of prescriptions, several of which are critical to determining other treatments. I've long carried a written list, but this is a lot better! It took a long time to enter it all, but now it's easy to update. Gives me peace of mind knowing that any first responder or other medical personnel can access the info without having to unlock my phone. My medical ID bracelet tells them where to look!
This is one of those things that you install, enter relevant data & then forget about. Having energency data easily available - yet prevenying full access to your device, give some peace of mibd. You hope that if needed, emergency responders will think to look at your device and see what they need. Occasionally you may remember that something in there needs to be updated, and then remember to do it. So far, it is trouble-free. But I have not been in a situation where it "needed" to be used ...
