Looks like MedStar has a winning app here. Works like a charm but it still wouldn't be 5 stars without the people involved. Competent, professional and friendly but most of all knowledgeable about how the system and the process works. Walked me through sign up, log in and prep for my physical visit to the office. If this is the future of Healthcare then the future looks bright.
Reviews for MedStar eVisit – Telehealth
← Back to MedStar eVisit – Telehealthused to be my favorite app until the update. I'm in so much pain and having to reenter all my information is a waste of time. I have deleted the app
Every little internet interruption resets the connections. I've been on the phone for over an hour and had to rejoin 3 times. Even with a stable connection no one picks up. Guess I'll just suffer instead.
I would give this app and its service a -5, if I could. The "providers" never want to provide any treatment for simple illness such as sinusitis, bronchitis, or conjunctivitis. Their "solution" is to wait and do another appointment if symptoms persist or worsen even if you have waited with symptoms for 10 days... it's a costly joke. It seems they have a set protocol of first denying treatment. Don't waste your time or money. Medstar, you need to do better.
Although I had to hold for about 20 minutes, the Ap is most definitely a convenient option. The quality of the call wasn't too great as the sound continued to come in and out throughout the duration of the e-visit; however, less than 40 minutes for the entire consultation with Kathryn PA-C, whom was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional, was the deal setter. 5 Stars rating for me!!!
Terrible. Keeps crashing just when it's my turn to connect with the virtual MD or nurse. And this is after waiting more than an hour in line. Horrendously poor product and service. Exact same issue as described by others below! It's a travesty that Medstar would allow such a terrible product, when people at their most vulnerable, to be allowed on the market. This app should be immediately pulled and fixed before putting it in front of customers.
Waiting hours in person at MedStar just to be put in a room and shown a telehealth doctor anyways is a joke. Use this app from the get go instead. In fact, use the telehealth app that your insurance company recommends instead, or one of the telehealth apps that is made specifically for people without insurance.
Very easy to use. Wait times are very reasonable. Times when I just have a small issue or need a medication refill I can see a provider in 5 to 10 minutes. All the providers I've seen were very helpful and listened to my issues. Very thankful for this app.
I downloaded this app while trying to get a telehealth appointment for my sick child. I got all of my info entered and got in line for a visit with a provider. When the provider tried to connect and start the appointment, the app started quitting repeatedly. I'd sign back in and try to resume the appointment but then it would quit again. This went on until the provider cancelled the appointment. This happened two more times. I'd give this a zero if I could. UTTER GARBAGE
I'm having horrible back pain, but during the pandemic, very reluctant to seek medical help. The Dr was absolutely wonderful, listened, and we are trying a solution. She sent the script already to my pharmacy and Wala. I just gotta wait and then go get. So simple. I feel much more comfortable that I was able to seek medical but without having to go anywhere
Very nice Dr, quick visit, did not wait long at all, although it's 10pm, so other time's of may be a different story, I don't know because this is the first time I've used this app. Was very convenient and as of right now (10/15/20) they are waiving the fee it said due to COVID, so visits are free which was a blessing for me. Overall very satisfied and will use it again.
It's a little frustrating waiting for the doctor. While waiting I did something else for a minute or so and when I came back I was still waiting. Did this affair a couple more times. Over an hour went by. Finally canceled and tried again. This time I didn't do anything else. It's just frustrating. If I was in a waiting room I would be able to use my phone. An alert would have been helpful. Other than that, it was nice to be able to stay home.
It was easy to see a doc, and the one I had at least was nice and efficient, but customer service is a joke. My prescription -recorded in the appointment notes- didn't make it to the pharmacy. Talked to customer service and tried messaging the doc - nothing. What's the point of being able to see a doc whenever if you can't get a needed prescription in a timely manner?!?
Hint when using app: never, ever transfer. Always stick with original provider choice. If they ask if you are flexible, say you are not. Review: Very very buggy app. Boots you when waiting for a provider without explanation. Transfers you to different providers, claiming shorter wait times, but they in fact have more patients than the first provider and now you're in the back of the line. My connection dropped for 20 sec, went to the back of the line. Extremely poor software
So far only used it once. While waiting to "see" the doc, I got kicked out of the app and had to log back in. Bad news- waited 15 min for nothing. Good news- it saved all the info I just put in (had to get back in line of course). Connection has a slight delay, but otherwise good experience. Would def use again if needed
I love MEDSTAR. The MedStar Staff are so professional, courteous and do the best healthcare I have ever experienced. I highly very highly recommend MedStar.
I was directed to the app because of my symptoms to do an eVisit. Everytime I backed out of the pp for a minute or two, it would sign me out. When I finally got connected to a provided it keeps kicking me out of the app, my wifi and phone service was working fine. This app is junk and people shouldn't be forced to use it.
App is a great way to communicate with a provider when it works. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and the app crashed a few times before I visit had even started, forcing me to log back in a re-fill out the information. Once my visit started, the audio was giving me trouble; Despite having the 'speaker' option selected, the audio was still going through my phone at a level that I could barely hear. After I logged out and back in, I had no sound unless I minimized the eVisit screen; then it worked!
Great, i was seen in timely fashion. The doctor was nice, they show their badge on the screen, the connection was good, easy to use, short amoubt of information needed to be seen. The form was quick and easy to fill out and they have fun medical facts that rotate onscreen while you wait!
The app downloaded fine, I filled out all the information, etc. When the time came to connect, the app failed twice. The provider could not connect with me. I switched to my laptop, which resolved the immediate issue but did not resolve the problem with the app.
