One of the worst apps I've ever used. It was bad before when I used it back in 2019, but it somehow got to the point where it's borderline unusable. The app freezes so consistently, it can literally take 30 seconds or sometimes a little longer to navigate to one profile. And even longer to scroll through people's pictures. Not to mention frequent crashing and a plague of bots and scammers, even with their "verification" method. Absolute disgrace they thought this was even acceptable to release.

The app doesn't send me the message notifications unless I open the app and am online. Like, I don't need to get the notifications when im online. My message threads just disappear into thin air. I block accounts, and somehow, they keep popping up in my feed. It keeps matching me with people I didn't want to match with. And the amount of spam/fake accounts is ridiculous.. needs a lot of work.

How... Is it possible to register, then have the newly registered login be invalid? Used a different email and everything. My old account wanted me to verify directly after verifying without leaving this cycled page. Just not allowing anyone on or what? Congrats, guys. Now you get to have ONLY bots on your app. Tried to contact them multiple times now, receiving no response. Uninstalling. Don't waste your time, people. I did submit a request... Like, 20 of them. So, fix the issue.

I do not like the layout. You can't save people's profiles as favorites anymore. I can't see who has liked my profile without having meetme premium subscription. At least on the old version, if you didn't have the subscription you could do the match each day & after 5 days you could see your likes. I think it was a bad decision to change that. I also hate that you can't see when someone was last active. You could be messaging someone who hasn't been on in over a month, but you don't know that.

Sadly I didn't get to use the app really. It refused repeatedly to even let me sign up. One big complaint is having to scroll month by month to set your date of birth. Could at least let it scroll just the year separately, or type it in. This is pretty unacceptable in this day and age. I would've liked to give the app a fair go around, but not much I can do. Can only review what you can access! Which for me was the sign up portion only. Pitiful.

The new UI is hot garbage. Read receipts in chats are now gone, so you have no idea if someone read your message. When searching nearby profiles, you no longer have the option to see Online Only, so you're forced to wade through profiles that may have been dormant for months (there are a lot). Filters are now fewer overall. Your likes are also now locked behind a paywall. Mass deleting chats is no longer possible. You also can't see when someone was last online. The app is unusable now.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. First, the app is stupid buggy. I don't get half of my messages, and when I do get my messages I either can't look at them or they suddenly disappear from my feed never to be found again. Second, I have to keep deleting and reinstalling the app for it to work, when I do it tells me my passwords wrong, yet I can log in on my phones browser with the same password. So I try a password reset and I just keep getting an error message on that page. Stupid

I can't tell you how many times my account has been hacked, and now I've been logged out and can't get back in! I've sent feedback, tried to contact support, tried to change my password, verified my identity before I got locked out, etc! Now I'm probably going to lose all my pictures and conversations, again, and I'm sick of it! Y'all have probably the shittiest security of any app I've ever used.

I miss when this was myyearbook. Meetme is a complete privacy and security concern. I had 3 back-to-back issues getting locked out of my account despite not having any reason to be locked out (except for maybe mass blocking creeps), and was never offered any sort of explanation. But the real kicker and biggest red flag: the site/app has NO option to change your password, the "Help" page is insecure in Firefox, and clicking "forgot password" to change your password results in an error message.

Absolutely do not waste your time. Same generic pickup line for dozens of profiles. Same pictures being used on multiple accounts. 3 hours since I made the account and I had every interaction close to 50+ profiles give me a link to a paysite, half of them were extremely high risk. Biggest waste of time out there. Last thing is they have a delete account in settings, but it doesn't work. So I'm really interested in finding out what I'm going to have to deal with for that. Hate to even be stat.

I have had my conversation's be deleted several times. I tried to verify myself twice but it never fully accepted it. Plus I've had matches delete. I recently messaged a match but it didn't show up on my end. I also found some messages will pop up on your phone. If you don't respond to the few that show up there. The messages are gone for good. I also noticed that there were a few days of setting up the application like it used to be. I miss when it was My Yearbook. Anyway I'd be wary.

Bots... So... Many... Bots. What is the point of face verification, if it isn't mandatory, can be tricked, and you can't even apply a filter for it? The matching system is a complete waste of time. The main way to get any actual people is to go to the "nearby" tab and just start manually looking through profiles and messaging people. Also who thought adding live streaming was a good idea? Now a good portion of people are only their for a meager chance at becoming influencers. Just great.

Meh. Every time I log on, ads start automatically playing and will play the ads music. Every. Single. Time. Update 1/2025: I downloaded it again to see if it got any better and while the ad music isn't playing 24/7 anymore, it is unbelievably buggy. Thanks to the fact that it's constantly trying to load ads and live streams with every click you make, it's extremely choppy and slow. When you scroll, it'll jump like crazy. Very annoying.

It's one of a few apps you can actually chat without paying a butt load of money...but between the ads, ads, ads, oh did I mention ads! Hence why the texts are free! Also, nobody is even in the same state, when you check out their bio! They are some other state, or even another country! Plus, non of them want to actually talk on the phone, either chat on Whatsapp or stay on the app to communicate! Vast majority of the girls want a "Serious relationship"! BUT how can you, if you can't even talk

On the plus side, I do like the overhauled UI. On the bad side, this service and Skout are infested with hooker bots that make it near unusable. More time is spent blocking or reporting them scrolling to see who's online. They're easy enough to block, but as soon as you nuke a half dozen, more show up to take their place. The process to actually report them is ridiculous. It shouldn't take 8 clicks to report a profile.

Im not sure. The entire app has been overhauled. They got rid of Alot of bots and fake profiles however there is still a degree of it. I think the ones that are left are programmed bots by the app. Profiles will show up and engage then vanish. And the App says "An error occured". They have also made speaking to each other much easier. The best way to spot a fake profile is matching what their race or ethnicity to their image. Many will say something different than what the image portrays.

The amount of fake profiles are insane, definitely over half are spam/bot accounts. Everyday I get 5 or 6 messages linking me to a scam site. I also abhor the verification system, if you have shaky hands, it's nearly impossible to get verified. Even if you do get verified, you have to get verified again if you change your picture. And at the same time there are active bot accounts with the verified mark, just get a new system, cuz this one is atrocious.

I mean, functionally, the app works fine and as intended. im giving 2 stars because the ads are invasive, I understand it is a free service and ads are how the app makes it possible to be free, but theyre the bad kind of ads, the ones that take 3 clicks to get rid of, and then you accidentally start downloading it and you feel like you just caught a virus..

I used to use this app a lot. I used to swipe through people just to find someone to talk to, and there was no problem. NOW, AD after AD after AD after AD. The worst part is that it's NEVER consistent. Sometimes, it takes 6 or 7 swipes to get an ad. Okay, not bad. I can deal with that but I SWEAR at other times, I swipe ONE person, AD, it takes 3 times for me to click the x to finally close the stupid ad, swipe again, BAM ANOTHER AD. It's overwhelming sometimes. 🙄🙄🙄

I have matched with over 1000 profiles. I have encountered three actual human beings, and two of them exclusively use the site as a vlog stream, and were not even matches. There is no movement towards screening profiles, many games feature the same flags to identify them by (poorly cropped photos at obscure angles, usually visible upon making the photo full sized) which could easily be screened by an ai, but the consistency in the tend is sus. Don't download, don't waste your time. 0/5 stars.
