So here's my honest take on Messenger Kids – The Messaging. I've tested a bunch of messaging apps for kids and this one's pretty solid. The parental controls give me peace of mind, and the fun features like filters and stickers make it way more engaging for the kiddos than a basic chat app. Only downside is the ads can get old, but you can pay to remove them. Overall though, I'd say it's a great option if you want your kids to be able to safely chat with friends and family.

Pros

  • Tons of fun filters, stickers, and tools for creative messaging
  • Parental controls let parents manage contacts and monitor activity
  • Free to use, no in-app purchases or subscription required
  • Easy to set up, no phone number needed

Cons

  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay to remove them
  • Limited to contacts approved by parents
  • Might be too simplified for older kids

Description

Been using Messenger Kids – The Messaging for a couple months now. It’s basically a messaging app just for kids, but with a bunch of fun filters and tools to make chatting with friends and family way more engaging. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: you can message your approved contacts, send silly stickers and GIFs, even draw on the screen during video calls. And there’s also a bunch of fun filters and sound effects – took me a while to figure that out but it’s pretty cool. And the best part is, parents can control the whole thing from their own app, so the kids are kept safe.

Look, if you’ve got young kids who love to chat with their friends, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get kind of annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
