Reviews for Messenger – Texting App

Stephanie Carlisle

This app is fairly straightforward and easy to use. Although I would like to suggest maybe an easier navigational layout for voiceover/screen reader users. Or maybe if just the labels for the different sections were more clearly labeled and easier to understand what section it is, and which categories full under that section. You should give users the opportunity to arrange the menus and settings in the order that most easily suits them.

Well, i can't figure out what to fix so I can receive pictures from others. I can send them but I can't receive them. It's a bit annoying. Also the adds are ridiculous. It's very annoying if I accidentally hit one when trying to respond to a text....it's annoying. If I can't figure the picture thing out I may have to find another texting app

Suddenly my Samsung texting app isn't supporting my "robust" texting so I need to find a new app. I thought I'd had this one in the past. I use my own wallpaper which I can do with this app. I then pick a theme to goes with my wallpaper and I prefer darker themes. This app has very few themes to choose from.. and when I use a theme all the messages in my inbox, the preview of texts overlaps with the senders name so badly I can't read any of it. And why can't you just have a dark theme? Unhappy.

Honestly, I hate it. It doesn't follow my phone's dark mode, has annoying ad banners every three messages, and looks terrible. They need to rethink the whole thing as no thought has gone into it at all. Honestly, ditch the ads – no one's going to avoid them when their phone's messaging app is ad-free.

Why does the app ding so often? When I send and when I receive a text, plus many times there is No text and it dings. I have no idea if someone sent me a private message that might have caused another notification ding because I don't "Log on" to a messaging app. I have to do that with too many things as it is. A messaging app shouldn't be one of those. Way to busy of a screen with pop ups, to many emojis in the way of the screen. I just want a simple message app.

Accidentally installed this when I wasn't paying enough attention while looking for another similar app. Did the initial sign up before I realized it wasn't the right one since I remembered already having an account in the other app, ever since I've been getting spam texts pretty consistently despite normally only getting them maybe once a month. I'm not saying that it's due to this app, but it's the only new thing I've signed up for in months, so the correlation is strong af here.

I just downloaded this app to replace message+ which is shutting down next month, and when I went to text my friend the message scrolling was scrolling up by itself on two other ppl. Now some of the messages aren't being synced right. And now it's telling me that ilover 12 messages couldn't be sent, how do I fix that? Is this a glitch with android phones or a software bug?

Unfortunately this app sucks. It lags horribly bad. I simply tried to scroll up through messages I had with a family member and it jerks all over the place making me lose my place in the text thread. Then it just sends me all the way back to the bottom. Also, I sent a message in a group chat and the text bubble starts spasming out flashing visible and disappearing rapidly. Horrible app. EDIT: I just now found out that I haven't even been getting messages that my family has sent me in Group

Cannot give it anymore then a one star. Once I got the app as soon as I logged in I got an ad to pay for plus.(which is optional) after that after almost ever conversation there was an ad of another texting app. Which really bothered me because none of those apps worked either. I do like how there's a password and you can make conversations private but other than that, not much was good 🙁

Really? All these adds for a messenger app? I downloaded this out of necessity because for whatever reason my Android messenger stopped functioning. Worse thing is, you can't even do a one time purchase to get rid of them. It's 60 dollars a year. I'll find another all. Wouldn't recommend. Pop-up adds all over the screen when I'm just trying to use a BASE FUNCTION of any modern cellphone (texting). App creators really have no shame.
