App has been very glitchy lately. Seems to have an update once a week but it still doesn't fix the issues. I tried to message someone. It took 3 tries typing it because the app kept closing. update as of 09/21/25. still having issues over a year later. now I cant load or send messages if I have more than one message at a time. 2 updates and still not fixed. highly disappointed since I use this a lot for communication.

EDIT: it seems that my phone updated this app during the night and that is when the problem began. Beginning today, recipients can no longer view photos that I send. It says I'm sending, but the person can't view it. It's always worked between us before, even yesterday. What's happening? We've both tried to restarting our phones, still won't work.

(1) Notifications never appear, even though I do have messages sent to me. (2) Can't search conversation properly, when I find the message I want to jump to, it leads me to a black screen or doesn't do anything at all. (3) Displays double or empty box of my sent messages. (4) When I click on a person I'd like to message, the chat disappears and it's all black, I try to restart, reinstall, or refresh and it remains that way until randomly coming back.

Pos app. I only still have this god awful app because it's the only thing that my friends use. I've updated it and it still has the same issue. It gets worse and worse with every year. currently the issue I've been having for a month or longer is that it will not let me send voice clips, it will just be stuck on sending and then when I send something else the voice clip I was trying to send vanishes. Does it all day long repeatedly

I miss Message+... I'd give this app more stars, but they'd have to update it! I can't select multiple messages and delete them. Instead, I have to go one by one. 🙄 Plus, searching for specific messages is another pain in the rear. For example... If I was searching for one saying 'her address is 123 4th Street' to find a friend's address that I'd forgot to add to her contact, I'll get highlights for maybe 5 messages, but it won't show me where they are. 😒 Bring back Message+!

As others have stated. Ongoing issue with messages not appearing, either sent or received. Seems like messenger apps for different contacts are not syncing, so large gaps of missing information and messages. Really irritating, and when you try to restart the app, it makes it worse! Just started using messenger again and can see why I left it.

I thought I was the only one having an issue. But now I've seen other people are having issues with the pay option in messenger. Considering it has access to bank stuff, that is not the part of this app I want glitching out. It'll let you go thru all the parts til it's processing then freeze. Then it won't back out and you have to close the whole app. Please fix this.

A great app for messaging people, I mean that's what the app is for! Pictures, videos, messages send too! My problem is being alerted to when people are trying to message me. It's been happening a lot these last few months, I would have gotten a message 5 hours ago and then get a notification saying I got the message, then there's times where it just doesn't notify me at all.

2/7/25 Since the update, my audio messages that I am sending out are being deleted as if I deleted them and I didn't. Also, for the chat bubbles, the pictures keep changing which isn't cool at all. Seems like the app needs work on it. Anyone else having these issues? 3/21/25: Seems like with every update the app isn't getting better, keeps saying waiting on connection when I'm on WiFi and it's not showing me who is online, please fix this.

After the latest update, or somewhere in between, the app has slowed down TREMENDOUSLY, and it is not my internet. i can read, stream, use whatsapp, and everything else on my internet except use this app efficiently. It freezes, becomes blank, does not send my messages, and does not receive messages properly. Sometimes it takes up to 15 minutes for messenger to catch up to what people send me. Also, all the Ai options should be optional since I think that's what slows my app down.
