When you spend $40 on 1 book and can only make it to "chapter" 84 out of 447. And that's with waiting to read basically a chapter a day with their subscription B.S.... a total rip off!!! and to make it worse, they have no way to earn more coins above time reading and 6 adds a day. I'm rather pissed about it! I've paid good money for a product I'm not getting. 😡

Run away! This app is expensive! 180 coins for one chapter! You can earn maybe 30 coins with a daily check in. They make it so you have to pay to read. Even the monthly subscription only gives you 2000 coins for the month. The story was good but I spent WAY too much money on it. They should let you know ahead of time how much the entire book will cost you. The editing started out well but by the middle of the book it sucked. Will not use again.

You have to be kidding me. this app is garbage and I am so pissed. I paid $17.99 for a subscription that I assumed gave me the right to read unlimited, but now have to purchase the rest of the book. I got 28 chapters! You are getting a very bad review from me. what a joke. Kindle unlimited is $14.99 a month with unlimited books and you don't even get one freaking book. and the editors are horrific. every sentence is messed up. author desperately needs an editor. painful to read. Want a refund

EXPENSIVE. Books have translation errors, and cost is way too much for one book. I get supporting writers, but over $100 for 1/2 a book with the smallest chapters is insane. Price per chapter varies each chapter, so you only unlock a random number of chapters. You might as well buy a book on Amazon or something, a whole book, set price.

One of the worse money wrenching reading apps out there. Authors-take your work elsewhere. The subscription is a joke. I want to read not constantly look at how much I have to pay for a single book. Many many better apps with the same kind of content and format of reading for reasonable prices or subscriptions for unlimited reading... Key word unlimited.

Like any other app, some stories are good while others not. Reason giving low rating is cost and lots of unedited novels with many errors. The amounts charged to read are outrageous. After trying it, I calculated. It cost over $200 to read a book if it's a short book. They have "novels" with over 700 chapters. Quite ridiculous. Even Barnes and Nobles isn't this excessive.

Great books! However, I was used to watching 10 ads each day to unlock 50 coins, now that I have spent money to unlock more at a time, I'm only offered 5 ads each day totaling 25 coins. So, now, I can only unlock a chapter every 3 or 4 days instead of 1 each day or every other day. Seems like they want me to stop using the app 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have tried many book apps. And ALL have great writers and stories, that never seems to be the problem. What I find as scamy is the way the coin payouts are distributed through out the reading of a book. Its Expensive and the coin usage for unlocking each chapter fluctuates. It's not a steady price. It goes from 78 to 149 and when your dropping 19.99 for 2000 + coins the coins fluctuations between each chapter it starts to feel like a rip off. ⚠️ I advise caution. ⚠️

It costs insane amounts of money to read a book that's WAY to long. I paid for 500 coins at 4.99 + tax i read 3 chapters with it. When I went to buy the same things it's no longer an option they took it away and put different offers at higher prices. The price of coins goes up with each chapter. The amount of coins isn't worth the length of the chapter. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. NOVELFLOW has FREE books to read that in my opinion will give u the same story line with no need to pay.

I read my books everyday. The app doesn't keep track of the time I read accurately. I'll read for 1/2 an hour or more, then close the app, when I reopen it and see how long I've read for, the app shows no progress. Also, I lose the time I have (after waiting hours for the time to update) accumulated before the app resets for the day.

I have read a few books and enjoyed them. I agree with most of what everyone has said. They are every expensive on this app!!. I have paid so much one 1 book and have tried the month or the weekly scams I now have tried. I still can not get threw the book with it. If you read their so called weekly or monthly programs, it still is only so much coins and you can not go over it. Like buying minutes per month. And if you are like me and have trouble sleeping, those minutes go by very fast.

Outrageously Expensive. I opted for the $19.95 per month thinking I would have some access without having to purchase additional coins, not so. My first month I spent over $50, not including the monthly charge on a book and would have needed to spend an additional $100 to complete the book, I forgot to cancel monthly subscription, so I just got hit again $19.95. Worst app so far. Galatea offers a $75 annual membership unlimited access to all the books, they just don't have a high turnover.

stories are good but it costs too much to read stories. way more than other apps. and even when I bought a coin subscription to read more, I never got the coins. contacted the app support twice and never heard back. total rip off. You're better off reading on other apps with similar stories but cost much less or nothing (if you watch ads).

content is entertaining and what I did read was well written, but the cost is excessive and I wasn't even able to finish half of the book even after spending $45 (which was ALSO misleading - I paid $19.95 for the month subscription, only to have the same screen pop up again, causing me to believe that I didn't purchase it, only for me to then have TWO of the same subscriptions... how does that even happen??) I contacted customer support, but not sure if that will provide any resolution.

I really love the books, so I signed up for the monthly subscription. it only worked the first time I bought it. So far its 2 weeks into my second month, and no coins have been added, but they definitely took money out of my account. I have sent 2 messages to let them know, and no one answers. thankfully, I paid through PayPal, so I will be contesting that payment and getting my money back. Would be willing to change the stars if this was fixed because otherwise, I really do like the app.

The stories are fairly good, but 93 coins to read a single chapter is highway robbery! At this rate it'll take me months to read a book. the price to buy cons combined with the cost per chapter is far greater than buying a paperback! I'd be happy to watch an add or even two for each chapter... but this is insane. I can read the same story elsewhere far cheaper!

As others have stated, it is ridiculously expensive. you still have to pay to read even after the subscription and cost per chapter does vary. I started a book that I liked, but the cost to finish it would be about $200 if not more. chapters are short too, around 11 "pages". very disappointed.

I was dumb - I should have read the reviews! Then I would not have even started and now be down $25 and have no resolution to the story I started. I will be cancelling rather than paying them any more money. Like many others, I jumped into the monthly "subscription" thinking it was unlimited but it is NOT!!! It is a limited number of coins and the only thing "subscription" about it is they will charge you for those coins every month! I've cancelled the subscription and it quit!

it takes days to earn enough coins to unlock 1 chapter. unfortunately, as much as I am enjoying the story I am reading, I won't be finishing it. I refuse to pay hundreds of dollars for 1 single story that I can't even download as an ebook to read again later, not to mention the story isn't even finished it's ongoing. I will go back to the apps that offer subscription for unlimited reading at a decent price or rewards that at least make it possible to unlock chapters by watching ads.

It is too expensive to read a book here and is certainly not an honest app. For example, it says unlocking a chapter costs 66 coins, but my balance dropped from 2,312 to 2,161 coins, meaning they deducted 151 coins instead. Some chapters even cost up to 140 coins to unlock, no consistency at all. It sure seems like they're trying to take as many coins from you as possible.
