I enjoy this app and it's security. It's new and changing and after coming over from Google Plus a few features are missing. Like circles, invite restrictions, and collection. My only issue is the storage restriction unless you want to pay a monthly fee. I realize you have to make money, but the limitation, restricts how much I'll post. But I like it here
MeWe has good potential, but lots of problems. 1)Photos are downsized 2)No translator, so I can't talk to my foreign friends 3)No contact with developers, they don't respond to feedback 4)Small print and cluttered homepage 5)"Free Speech" groups (porn, etc.)need to be marked as such for those of us who don't want to stumble across them, perhaps a different banner color? These are some of the main reasons why people leave MeWe. Keep working on making improvements, and I'll edit my rating.
This is a solid social media platform. It works as you'd expect, and isn't limited to 4-5 types of emojis for "likes". My only complaint is having to pay to be able to organize your feed/photos etc, and it's a monthly charge at that. I do think the charge could be a little lower in price for a reoccurring charge, but I understand why the charge is there. Overall the feel is great and people aren't being sensored like on FB.
The notifications page doesn't work. I Uninstaller and installed at least 20 times. Then it will work for a minute and then an error message comes up. The follow option is useless. How can you see at least the person's bio that asks to follow you,, before I make the decision to allow someone to my profile it would be nice to see their page first. This used to be a 5 star rated app. Sad
I've had this ao for almost 2 years. At first was very confusing and the bots were terrible. Thankfully thats under control now. Give it time. Lots of people are switching from the Dark side so the mewe ap is going to be a little glitchy. I've never been asked to pay for anything. There are options for extras that you have to pay for but the reg mewe profile is free. Groups are free. To have a business page its 1.99 a month. Love this ap.
I get a loading symbol on *every* screen. I tried this app on my tablet with internet, on my phone with service, and with internet on my phone. The loading happens for a good 30-50 seconds, which doesn't seem that long until you add in that it happens with every click. I really want to give this platform a chance but I cannot even run my group efficiently because of the ungodly loading. It struggles to load chats and groups as well as notifications.
Definitely has evolved into a much better app than it has used to be. Still has a few bugs but is overall a great social media app. However, I am having problems staying in other people's groups. I can't look at anything but "my communities" even when I try to change it to show me all, then it eventuslly just kicks me out of the group. Could you please fix this. It's starting to annoy me and possibly others.
I like the app. But like others have said; it's a little on the rough side. Perhaps the biggest annoyance I've noticed so far is---- just uploading a meme or even worse, a video---- can prove to be too much for the app to handle. Even with a strong data connection or WiFi, it tends to struggle in uploading a simple meme. And short videos can just fail to upload--- even with high-speed internet. But all-in-all, I like that they're not censoring like Facebook. Kudos. 👌
App will not open. I installed it earlier and set up my account and profile then added some friends. When I was finished with the setup I closed the app. Later in the evening and even now when I click in the app it just takes me to the internet and will no longer open. Update: I deleted and re-installed the app and it had been working flawlessly. The format takes some getting used to but I love how you can join groups that show common interests on your news feed.
Love the feel. Love that there's no ads. like the pay features, but they aren't a necessity. It is a little confusing learning to navagate, & if you've actually been added to groups, since you can see the content either way, but its a great foundation. I haven't figured out if you can add people to different groups but it would be cool to add family to one group, & aquaintences and close friends in seperate groups according to what you want individuals to see. G+ feature I loved.
