So here's my honest take on Mezquite Diatonic Accordion. I've tested a bunch of music learning apps and this one's pretty good. The sounds are really authentic and it feels like you're playing a real accordion. The button lights and tutorials make it easy to learn. But it's not without its issues - the tuning changes can throw you off and it gets kind of repetitive after a while. Still, if you've been wanting to learn the accordion, this is a solid option, especially since it's free.

Description

Been using the Mezquite Diatonic Accordion app for a couple months now. It’s basically an educational app that teaches you how to play the diatonic button accordion. Pretty solid if you’re into learning new instruments.

Here’s what you can do: there’s a bunch of different accordion sounds to play around with, like Norteño and Vallenato. It’s got 34 buttons that light up to show you which notes to play. You can also learn scales and full songs. And the auto mode is pretty cool – just tap anywhere and it’ll play the song for you.

Look, if you’ve been wanting to learn the accordion but don’t have access to one, this app’s a great way to get started. It’s not perfect – the tuning sometimes changes mid-song which can be annoying – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re into music apps.

I think the app should have the other type of buttons. Edit: The buttons at the right side of the accordion at the app icon
