Where to start? - my band registered my steps, but once I opened the app, couldn't sync all the steps, only 1/5 of them... broken record for me. - The interface is terrible, you have to waste a lot of time until you find where you can edit some specific goals... - I'm thinking to return the band because of this app. I don't recommend it.
Reviews for Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear)
← Back to Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear)Seems a bit incomplete. As far as I can tell there is no way to change weather from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Also, I can't seem to find a way to do a scheduled do not disturb mode. I should sync with my phone but I don't think it is working because I keep getting notifications in the middle of the night. App has good polish but lacks in features.
The app displays everything in widgets on the main dashboard, which itself is presented well enouy. It updates quickly and there have been no problems synching with the band (Mi band 9). However, the dashboard looks a bit crude and I don't like the method used to display the HR, SPO2 or the stress data. The display in these areas is poor and unclear. It doesn't seem to matter how tight the band is on my wrist, the displayed metrics don't show the data clearly enough.
Helped to motivate me into a regular exercise routine. May not be a perfect sports device but for the average person wanting to track training metrics it is ideal. I think the sleep application is not accurate and not sure why. Yes it does record the sleep length but not sure on the accuracy of the REM and so on. Great battery life. I charge it about every 10 days ( as a precaution ) yet it is constantly in use.
So far it's pretty great! The one issue though, that I would really like to request that gets fixed is the irregular heartbeat/ atribrile fibrillation detection which is possible with this device, but not able to be enabled in the global version of the app or the device for some reason. Developers, can you please get this added in so it matches the Chinese version? Thank you so much!
I received a new Xiaomi Band 7 yesterday and spent most of the day in frustration, trying to get it linked to the Mi Fitness app. Back on it today and the Mi Fitness device finally did complete a link. That's the good news. Part of the functions work -- but part of them don't. The device itself is very impressive, but the Mi Fitness app is like it was never ready for release. It's disheartening.
I really like how affordable and customizable it is. I can focus on just the things I want to know. I have a very disordered eating history and I can remove the weight information. I wish I vould remove the calories burned, but I don't think any fitness trackers do that. You can customize your daily goals and set it as low as 500 calories, so it doesn't have to be triggering.
The app is terrible. It never saves goal changes, it often won't sync to the point of having to uninstall and reinstall it. The directions to give the app permission to always run in the background are impossible to follow, the sleep tracker has only worked once, and it takes repeated attempts to get the heart rate monitor to work (although I'm told that could be due to tattoo interference). The hardware is great, but the app ruins it.
I am so disappointed in Xiaomi. I have multiple Xiaomi devices and the hardware is first class, but the software just always lacks something needed to really work. My activities stopped syncing correctly to Strava. It syncs some data, some times, but lately its a 1/3 hit and miss. Now the APP has updated, and it crashes whenever you try to do anything in the app. Clearing cached and stored data does not work. My watch is now, useless as there is no other app to use with the Mi Watch.
This app is good. However, there are some shortcomings. First, the app is not syncing after any workout. That's even when you allow permissions in your phone settings for the app. Secondly, the app is utilizing the Europeon metrics. For instance, it's using kilometers vs miles which is actually used in the USA. This needs to be fixed or many users may find an alternative app for their workouts such as Google Fit. Just my observation.
This "app" does nothing. To even run it at all, the quest begins when you first open it: it asks you to agree with their user agreement (as if if this unusable "app" could ever have any "user" )-- on the initial screen you are offered a choice of one of one: two buttons: "Agree" and "Close" -- guess which ONE is enabled. At this point I admitted my defeat: they won: there is no way for me to even run the damn thing.
One of the worst apps I have used. It keeps disconnecting my band and to reconnect it, you will have to factory set the band. Which is a hassle. I tried everything. And nothing seems to work. The moment you exit the app it just disconnects the band. Which does not make any sense because the app should be able to work in the background after modifying the settings on the phone.
it's really bad. it wouldn't find my device at all whereas other apps did, while giving me the same non advice I always get: "reboot both devices", "disconnect your device from all other devices" I KNOW, I'M NOT AN IDIOT. that, and the fact that it doesn't allow you to create a xaomi account with most email addresses under the guise of being worried about safety, when in actuality they just want you to use google (probably get paid for that). i hate it.
FedEx just delivered this device. I've been trying for over an hour to create an account. All I get on screen is a small green dot in the top left corner. Oh, before that, it kept dropping the signal to the internet which caused connectivity issues. Who thought this device would be a good idea? Can't rate what I can't use!! So, back it goes to wherever it came from......Well, it hurt but I had to give it one star. Like loosing money!
It was a nice idea. I can't give it more than one star because, unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it work. My idea was to use zepp for my Mi Band 6 and Mi Fitness for my 5 (since zepp will not connect to 2 devices at the same time). But neither the 5 nor the 6 would connect, even when I told it it was searching for the 6. And Mi Band 5 was not on the list of supported devices.
I absolutely dislike this app. I was so excited to get my mi Band 9 Active, but it quickly turned to disappointment. I hate the candlestick style graphs. Switching from Zepp app to this feels like a downgrade. I noticed that it doesn't count the steps that good and it's not refreshing the data in "real-time", sometimes if feels stuck on the data being displayed. I'm going to return it and get a different brand most likely.
Really would love to see the option to connect to Google Fit again. Health Connect is absolutely not correct and every other tracking app connects to Google Fit. Also the sleep plan is not useable as I can't edit and the info is not correct. other than those 2 things I like the app, but not being able to link to any other tracking app is a huge problem.
Forced to switch from Zepp Life to Mi Fitness when I upgraded my Mi Band 5 (which is still great aside from a dying battery) to a Band 9. It's a shame. There are some oversights that I can live with: You CAN'T log weight in pounds, or distance in miles; the sleep graph sucks. But the major problem is a severe background battery drain that appears after a few weeks of use. The only fix is to reinstall the app and configure it all again. I've missed alarms b/c this app drained my phone overnight.
Vitality doesn't record properly on device. Doesn't store data for calories on some past days, on other days it doesn't store any step data. With very inaccurate storage if data the app is largely useless. Edit: I bought a new more expensive Xiaomi watch device. Vitality score is still very broken so this is definitely a software issue that nobody seems to want to fix. I run 4 times a week (~9km each) and my score doesn't go above 6. Please just fix it!!!!
They updated this app on July 31st. There's one glaring issue: it won't stay synced to a Xiaomi Band 7. Turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on, and it syncs for about 5 minutes and then disconnects. I used to get messages on my watch band but since March 2025 I have not. Basically the latest Android update broke this app and Zepp Life and neither have made any updates to correct the problem. I can't tell if it's incompetence or negligence at this point.
