Phone's alarm and internal/external speakers stop functioning with this app, no more bluetooth music. :( Customer service will not reply to my request for help... had to uninstall. Wish I had started with the free trial, even though they were up front about selling my data.
Nonsense all together. Your services are intermittently disrupted if not purchased. I once wrote; [Good but superimposes camera and Mic icon on the home screen. Not user friendly on this case. It should only popup when someone is trying to use the microphone. Review your development. The app is good please.]
I tried several times to get this app to function properly. Even after I have set the automatic timer to off, it seems to restart the microphone block method after I selected a whitelisted app from my notification panel. Time after time, I go back to my recordings and nothing is there. I have to manual turn the app is off prior to starting separate recording app for my classes. Why does your widget or whitelist function is faulty, especially if have my recording app is running in the background?
If it is working, it is good. I wish there was some way I could verify this. I'll just have to take your word for it 🙂 Take two,,, I have used this app before on a different phone... And it worked great.. Without the app, I told the mail carrier where I got my fur hat,, and the next day I got adds from them..
This App, even when you have it set to block, will unblock and allow all other Apps use of the microphone. I woke up at 3 AM and while checking something else on my phone found this to be the case. This is completely separate from the agreed to 8-10 PM unblock which happens daily.
What good is blocking the microphone if other apps can still use the microphone. Apparently in order to block all mic usage, you have to remove apps who already have permissions, which would block them from using the mic in the first place, which leads me to ask what this app is actually doing if it can't override permissions and blocking permissions would do exactly what this app claims to do...
App sucks. It doesn't work at all. The reviews are bogus. It says another app is using microphone. No its not. I have no other apps. I've downloaded other mic.apps and they worked. The other apps ive used were tested and deleted one by one before I went with this app. I went with this app because of the ratings but I see that this apps ratings are bogus friends of the developer. This app does NOT work. UNINSTALLED
Does not work on Android 12. Paid for the full version and it stopped working when Andriod 11 was released. I emailed the the developers and they replied stating there is nothing they can do, it's an issue with the way that the new android versions handle the mic. I kept using it because you could get it to finally work after about 3 tries to enable it, not that bad. After android 12 was released, no luck at all at all. Emailed the developers, no response. Uninstalled it today.
I think both apps are working fine, although I couldn't know that for sure. There is simply no real way I could think of to test each apps feature when enabling both "Microphone Block" or the "Camera Block" apps. This reason alone is why I didn't give them a perfect rating, just couldn't justify giving both apps a five star rating when I don't even know if each is actually working like the description dictates.
Automatic blocking doesn't work when in screen lock. Also after the 2 hours period when using the free version. Minimum setting for automatic blocking is 5 minutes, supposed to be immediately after an app is closed. 6$ each (micro and camera) is too much. I would suggest a 5$ bundle for both.
