Phone's alarm and internal/external speakers stop functioning with this app, no more bluetooth music. :( Customer service will not reply to my request for help... had to uninstall. Wish I had started with the free trial, even though they were up front about selling my data.

Nonsense all together. Your services are intermittently disrupted if not purchased. I once wrote; [Good but superimposes camera and Mic icon on the home screen. Not user friendly on this case. It should only popup when someone is trying to use the microphone. Review your development. The app is good please.]

I tried several times to get this app to function properly. Even after I have set the automatic timer to off, it seems to restart the microphone block method after I selected a whitelisted app from my notification panel. Time after time, I go back to my recordings and nothing is there. I have to manual turn the app is off prior to starting separate recording app for my classes. Why does your widget or whitelist function is faulty, especially if have my recording app is running in the background?

If it is working, it is good. I wish there was some way I could verify this. I'll just have to take your word for it 🙂 Take two,,, I have used this app before on a different phone... And it worked great.. Without the app, I told the mail carrier where I got my fur hat,, and the next day I got adds from them..

This App, even when you have it set to block, will unblock and allow all other Apps use of the microphone. I woke up at 3 AM and while checking something else on my phone found this to be the case. This is completely separate from the agreed to 8-10 PM unblock which happens daily.

What good is blocking the microphone if other apps can still use the microphone. Apparently in order to block all mic usage, you have to remove apps who already have permissions, which would block them from using the mic in the first place, which leads me to ask what this app is actually doing if it can't override permissions and blocking permissions would do exactly what this app claims to do...

App sucks. It doesn't work at all. The reviews are bogus. It says another app is using microphone. No its not. I have no other apps. I've downloaded other mic.apps and they worked. The other apps ive used were tested and deleted one by one before I went with this app. I went with this app because of the ratings but I see that this apps ratings are bogus friends of the developer. This app does NOT work. UNINSTALLED

Does not work on Android 12. Paid for the full version and it stopped working when Andriod 11 was released. I emailed the the developers and they replied stating there is nothing they can do, it's an issue with the way that the new android versions handle the mic. I kept using it because you could get it to finally work after about 3 tries to enable it, not that bad. After android 12 was released, no luck at all at all. Emailed the developers, no response. Uninstalled it today.

I think both apps are working fine, although I couldn't know that for sure. There is simply no real way I could think of to test each apps feature when enabling both "Microphone Block" or the "Camera Block" apps. This reason alone is why I didn't give them a perfect rating, just couldn't justify giving both apps a five star rating when I don't even know if each is actually working like the description dictates.

Automatic blocking doesn't work when in screen lock. Also after the 2 hours period when using the free version. Minimum setting for automatic blocking is 5 minutes, supposed to be immediately after an app is closed. 6$ each (micro and camera) is too much. I would suggest a 5$ bundle for both.

I am retired IT Security, and I just downloaded this after reformatting my Android phone. The Microphone Blocker and Camera Blocker so far are so much smoother than other applications I have tested. As well as the information they gave me about how many Applications had access to my camera and microphone, even I was not aware of how unnecessarily sneaky most apps are. Thus far very impressed with the free version, I really appreciate this app!

The extra battery burn is worth the peace of mind. I'll run the free version a little longer before upgrading to paid. As of this review, might have caused some phone calls to fail, so trying to verify that aspect. Enjoy the quick 5 minute disable option also.

This is as much rating. I'm going to give for failed preference and a lot of this apps are under watched right now. And they can be next to be removed from Google platforms services.

I know it works I had a call and I answered we couldn't hear each other I realized the microphone blocker was on .I have eavesdroppers on my phone through my hearing aid app it generates when I turn on my hearing aid. too bad it doesn't block someone from getting on my custom prescription internet capable hearing aid from PHONAK.

Over 50 apps require access FOR WORK, AND MY EMPLOYER IS too cheap to buy additional lines! When I am off the clock YOUR MIC PRIVILEGES STOP!

The only reason for 4 stars is the app was asking me if they can record audio, yes you heard it right, record audio. So went back and allowed access to mic for them and the message disappeared, I guess if your going to try it they have to have access to it.

After using app for few days I noticed that microphone was unblocked. I tried to block it again, but was denied. Instead, I was given message that microphone app will not work at night between 6pm and 10am, unless I paid a $6.99 extortion fee immediately. I had to stop what I was doing to uninstall the app and find another. Very rude, and disrupted my evening, as I am now late. I hate apps that do this. I did not see any indication that they were going to charge me. It stated it was free. There was no warning to do what they did. I now found a good app. Up-front with everything. No surprises. No hidden agenda to extort unfair price and leave us without protection.

Really good app, but not perfect. It would be great if I were able to select how long to turn off the blocker, to select which apps are able to use mic and or when...such as only when I manually push microphone button preferably. And one last minor but laughable thing.. All the Danger/Risks I had was this app using the microphone. Lol. Otherwise, I believe the app does what it says it will do. And I do like it, but I especially want to turn it off for a while without needing to uninstall.

This app is a must have. Whether you "need" privacy or not, you should assert your right to be secure on the phone or in your own home. Seems to be updated regularly. I like this & would definitely buy it were I able to answer an incoming call without first having to move aside the call notification and disabling the blocker, also can't get a macro to work for the phone for unblocking outgoing calls automatically.

It works, better than others I've tried, but not all of the time, on Samsung note 8. In order to work, the app needs to actually stay open. If I do close all apps, the mic starts listening again. It's not like a service that works in the background. I've also been experiencing issues with YouTube playing sound in the ear speaker rather than the phone loudspeaker when the app is active, so I need to stop the app to be able to hear the videos' sound. App is also shown as high power consumer.
