I able to purchased the premium but this app does nothing to block your microphone. At first, its workng but later on it does nothing.. It simply just say it is off.. Everytime I should to turn it on to access incoming calls it seems to continue to connect..Dissappointing!

Has not worked for quite awhile. Used to be great, now only works in least protection mode and interrupts audio playback constantly. I've had this app for many years. Now just a waste of money. I believe they are no longer updating this app. Sad. Months later - still sucking...

Good at keeping phones private; only for your own recordings. Sometimes the phone can pick up your voice upon receiving and makong a call.

July 2023 Update: I would give this 6 stars if I could. The interface has been completely overhauled and the design is more simple. The permissions page is easier to read and options seem straight forward for non-technical people. They added new languages in the options. Great app!

The app once device is rebooted or booted the mic app says its blocking access to it but if on an LG device you open the built in voice recorder app it opens up and the mic isnt being blocked from apps from using it. Can you update your app? Thank you

This app does not work!... When in AOD mode (the standby mode the phone will always be in when not in use) it stops blocking. My Samsung S8 lets Bixby et al work even when this app is on and running, whenever the phone is in standby mode. I would like a full refund please.

App does block microphone. Tested with "ok google locked and unlocked. Galaxy Note 8. When app is active, alarm clock, Timely, doesn't work. Can't hear audio playback over bluetooth. Headphone jack doesn't play out. I have to disable AND reboot phone. Force stop doesn't work.

Very simple and effective way to protect your privacy. Everyone should have this protect at the minimum. Protect yourself please don't become a victim. Some phones don't even allow you to remove the battery and even the ones that do have a tiny backup to power your mic. Thank you guys for helping keep our private life private! Was good till they stopped updating. No longer working right with Android 9 or 10.....

Microphone Block Premium works, alright. Problem is..it works to well. :( I can't turn the app off fast enuff when I get a call, so person calling me hangs up after I answer cause they can't hear me. Grrrr frustrating. Also 5 minute temp unblock is too short. Again..grrrr!

Does its job! No ads, blocks appropriately when i tell it to, warns me when an app is trying to use the device, and goes a long ways to assure me that the apps on my phone are all behaving, and that I can rid myself of the ones that aren't! i bought their other products, too, and they behave consistently with this app. Thank you!

doesn't work. I can have it blocked and still make voice memos, use voice typing, send voice messages, etc.. waste of money. also, it hasn't been updated in 3 years. I doubt the developer even cares that they put out a paid app that no longer works.

This app drastically reducers sound in videos. Now can hardly hear them. Iv disabled it. Sound back to normal. If this is fixed I would give 5 stars. Paid version. Paid today. Now can't get refund. Also Says other app using microphone. Preventing it from working. Can't turn off the other app using mic as suggested . Please can you sort this issue.

ive had this app for about 3 years now. I love it. Aside from the mic being functional while on a phone call, other apps cannot access the mic. Im sure intelligence agencies and the phone makers have a way around it, but most apps are probably stopped dead in their tracks.

The first time I used this app to turn off the mic I didn't know of how many apps actually use the mic to work. I ended up being late for work two days in a row because I thought I slept through my alarm, but no I didn't. The app silenenced the alarm! Fortunately I figured it out before the next day and deleted the app. This time I have installed it for a different reason. I needes an app that would disable the mic during Facebook broadcasts of my daughters softball games. The schools play music

So, Google voice no longer shows incoming calls due to my mic being blocked. I just get voicemails now since mic blocker can't auto block and unblock mic based on apps launched or calls received. If I could get that feature, along with a darker dark theme and a few more customizable options, I'd give 4 stars. 5 stars if I didn't Have to tap everything in the app 4 times for it to register.

I was finally able to get the premium and have the app working 24 hours a day. I feel better knowing that nobody can access the microphone without my permission. Big problem is I've been unable to adjust the volume for my music app and I'm not able to hear alerts for phone calls, alarm clock or any notifications!! Not happy!! Suspicious that developer hasn't responded to ANY posts in the reviews here... Might have to find a different mic block app. Hindsight and lesson learned.

Love the app, kind of a pain when trying to record or use camera with Camera Block because it takes some extra time. Maybe an exemption list or a quick code if you hit certain apps? Also an update for the newer Android is needed I have the Note 10 and it says it might not work properly. I wish we didnt need these type apps ,we should be protected with our privacy but I think we all know with 2-5 cameras and a mic in everyone's pocket are you ever truly alone?

Used to work well but not on my new phone. It interferes with audio output while listening to anything playing on my phone. Also only works on battery saver method. Because of this app, while using YouTube, as soon as the screen powers off and screen locks, audio output changes to the ear piece for phone calls, then does switch back within a couple seconds to the loud speaker or Bluetooth, whichever was previously used. Update: previous issues were fixed. The app is working great.

Needs an ON/OFF widget. Also, no updates in over a year, so I'm guessing this app has been abandoned. I see it's free now, so yeah abandoned. I'm guessing Google probably made it impossible to block. I'm still on Android 12. It does still for most apps, just not Firefox. Thanks for your efforts.

UNINSTALLED It will not allow me to unblock indefinitely. I was recording video but when I watched it back, it silenced after a few minutes. And since I kept the camera open and I kept taking video, it was blocking the sound so now I have several videos with no sound at all! There should be a way I could unblock it for an indefinite amount of time. It won't allow me to use Bluetooth earbuds on video chat. I have Blink cameras installed in my home but I can't hear the audio from the videos.
