Text interaction works best. Speech-based interaction is likely to have hallucinations, network-related conversation resets, and overall glitchy experience. It does a decent job of maintaining context in follow-up questions. However, it sometimes lacks conviction and can be made to flip-flop if you counter it confidently.
Reviews for Microsoft Copilot
← Back to Microsoft CopilotI hate to leave 2 stars but the image download features not working. if the AI creates an image and you tap the download button haptic feedback occurs but nothing happens. if you actually tap on the image itself and use the download icon, there is a text that comes up "image downloaded to device" - but nothing is downloaded to device. I sent multiple feedback. requesting response from actual person.
I love the performance and abilities as well as the understanding and contextual processing and responses have been amazingly accurate. However, the performance still feels a bit lackluster and lacks much in the way of taking the power available and applying it to practical uses or responding with actionable steps for human follow-up. For example even when logged in to my Microsoft account, it cannot send me e-mails, save chat conversations as file content nor can it add events to my calendar
It's ok, but very limited, and it can not generate images or even code. Even generated Excel formulas don't work. It is constantly running in the background using resources. Force Stopping only results in it restarting. MS needs to add much to this to make it useful, and there is no need for this app to run in the background constantly unless the intent is to spy on the user.
Meh for an AI. great Art generator, perfect for changing 1 picture into another art style. But... that's about it. it's read aloud feature is very buggy and wigs out almost every use. It does have a decent memory of previous chats, but so far ChatGPT is just better overall for the same price for a subscription. you get a lot more as well from them, while this is just more bandwidth really. For me it's the price that caused such a low score. offers less than every other AI, for the same price.
I love it! It gives me amazing photos, and I can even give it commands to add or take away details to the picture it gave me and it will add or take away those details. The only thing I don't like is that it takes a while to load the pictures and that I can't generate a video. Add text-to-video generation and I'll give it 5 stars.
this is the worst A.I. I've used half the features don't work. it has a way to upload files or images but it can't analyze anything. text has to be under 4,000 characters to fix and it can only write up to 700 characters . you upload a picture from a previous book to show it what kinda cover your looking for. it tells you I can't do that and it's image generation is the worst and so plain. and when you tell it something is wrong, i5 acknowledges the mistake but you have to ask again to fix it.
This is like a downgraded version of Chatgpt... Based on the commercials I attempted the claymation prompt, which did work but it took nearly 5 minutes to generate the image. I attempted to be a little more precise since it added an extra family member out of nowhere, and changed hair colors, but it failed to understand. This definitely isn't good for image generation, but I was also disappointed in the responses I got from it when I'd ask questions. This tool is far from competing for now.
Good in some respects, but incredibly restrictive when it comes to artwork (which is still within the TOS & Rules), also almost impossible to get it to refine certain details, which should be simple to follow? (Even after showing it detailed references.) While I haven't gotten to the point of deleting it (yet), I am close to it. Honestly, with the exception of the fact that it *CAN* tweak uploaded photos into other images, it is honestly not much better than other AI Image Generators out there.
I tried to make a basic flyer with this app. I gave it basic information regarding what the flyer was about and the who, what, where. Started on Friday and still Tuesday do not even have anything close to a flyer. This app would change the basic information date, time, & place to stuff that couldn't happen like date/time & sponsors. Going line by line didn't work either by the time you get line 3. Line 1 was wrong, changing the line completely. DUMBEST AI EVER!!!
Copilot is an amazing tool if you think about what you want and an get past the fact that a machine accesses so much information so quickly and puts the best option(s) together in mere seconds. Its scary to think about the potential, but, just as with everything else in life its more about the people who use things rather than the things themselves.
I have to say, this thing is a lifesaver. I mostly use AI to help me write professionally. I have ADHD, so I often have a hard time organizing my thoughts (certainly, it takes forever when I try). I can brain dump, and Copilot immediately responds with some ideas, asks follow-up questions, offers additional help or options, etc. A great tool when I need some help tweaking what I want to say.
I like this app because it's free of charge that lets me have unlimited chats. What I can do with unlimited chats is generate images, brainstorm any ideas, have real-time web searches, create any books or stories (also parts of them), etc. It also has 2 options of how much response time it has. One is quick response, and the other is deep research. Explore the possibilities of what this app can do. It's a blast! ✨
Copilot is an awesome app. It has a wide range of conversation capabilities and a great ability to answer questions thoroughly. Edit: I had a heartbreaking scenario. There is a limit to how much information Copilot can store and recall. There is no search feature. If history randomly restarts, all memory is lost, even if the information is right in front of you and you can scroll through pages of it. It is as if the database is wiped clean. *Do not use for a long-term personal basis!*
I usually use the read aloud feature when I'm multitasking, but sometimes it tends to skip or repeat parts of the reading. I usually turn it off. And the voice can also be a little over the top as well. The AI also uses the same suggestions when writing a story: characters always drinking tea, going to rooftop settings, journaling, or writing letters they will never send. It gets kind of frustrating.
I have tested copilot's memory and it. is. not. great. As in, I ask of it to remember and memorize my PC hardware. The CPU, RAM, motherboard, GPU, etc. Up to the accessories, like my displays. It does not remember either basic or packed information. and they say that "AI will take over." i'm giving it two stars because at least it can follow a conversation but then again, sometimes it pulls information from other conversations that I have with it.
it's a good app for anything that isn't image generation. I get the disclaimer that it might make mistakes. but for an AI generated by one of the biggest companies in the world those mistakes shouldn't be as frequent if at all. maybe updated so it retains memory. maybe make it so it retains certain art styles and utilizes said art styles. and when it generates that perfect reference picture to work from, all you have to do is tell it to retain that image and it retains the character design.
It seems really intuitive. I'm just barely starting with it. I'm using Copilot on my computer and phone. As long as you're logged in it will remember you from a different computer or phone. It can remember your goals as well as talk about personality and existential questions.nive used Google for years to search things when saying ok Google. But it doesn't have a personality. Copilot does. And it can add to what you've told it before. I've even been using it to help me with my resume.
It's fun for entertainment. as an actual AI, it's rather poor. It has no ability to retain and access information you give it once you leave the page. it told me it's parameters for recall and pattern recognition are lower than my own. I expected far better from Microsoft. I'm highly disappointed. It just forgot hours of highly valuable work. I was able to save the work, but the AI has no access to my saved files. It has no function beyond entertainment.
If you haven't used the conversational mode, try it. Turn on the camera for it and take advantage. I have been able to show Copilot my garden plants to get direction on what is going on and what to try. Checked elsewhere and confirmed the information was good. The tool is really incredible in its conversational personality. Even using it to get direction on various tasks, it is really great in how it interacts, very personable. Choose a voice you like or ask it to try an accent.
