Reviews for Microsoft Edge: AI browser

← Back to Microsoft Edge: AI browser

I downloaded this app due to authenticator ceasing to work without it. I have a newer phone and honestly I'd love to use edge over chrome, unfortunately too many times it just doesn't work properly with links, or to open certain webpages properly, so I have had to go back to chrome too many times and it works flawlessly. It also sucks at recognizing autofill passwords like authenticator used to, so once again back to chrome as it works every time. I wish it was more reliable.

you have improved. however, Edge needs to allow its users to organise bookmarks the way they want them. when I add a new bookmark it goes to the bottom of the list of the bookmark group. I need to be able to move it anywhere in that list or group of bookmarked web pages. as well, you need to allow more shortcuts in the browser. AND A HOME BUTTON ! is not that difficult.

One of the most crucial things about mobile browsers is the ability to open and interact PDFs seamlessly. Unfortunately, when I try to pinch to zoom my pdfs from my college office 365 eLMS, it stutters and lags rendering it jarring and unusable so I had to go back to chrome just to interact with it properly.

There is always room for improvement. Microsoft in regards to Edge browser could be a 5 star with simplifies configuration wizards instead of throwing users into the abyss of configuration options that are a nightmare, even for 35 year IT gurus like me. Other then that smooth experience with multi tabbing and memory usage (I have 64gig ram) features like shared history and across devices with logon is good. I prefer it over Chrome due to some of the stuff chrome gives to ABC verse Edge to MS.

The option to put the address bar at the bottom keeps being reverted and then the option disappears from the appearance menu. No matter what I do I can't get it back manually and then sometimes out of the blue the option is back in the settings menu. Then I can enable it and just wait for it to revert and dissappear again.

A solid browser but it has one major drawback: it lacks a tabs tray like Google Chrome. Without a bottom tab switcher, it's frustratingly difficult to see and quickly switch between open tabs. This makes it hard to manage multiple pages in a single browsing session, especially when trying to keep track of what’s open. For those of us who rely on fast tab navigation, this missing feature really hurts the app's usability."

Been using for years but coupon shopping has gone, so no discounts are coming up anymore and yea, I used to have this on android for a couple of years. Downloaded Canary and Beta, had shopping initially but disappeared again within a day on both versions and is now greyed out. No blue tag in address bar anymore. It was a highlight of using this over Chrome but with no coupon finder I can't use it anymore. Gutted. Tried to add via edge://flags/#edge-coupons-enable but there's no shopping option.

Really good browser, unfortunately Microsoft did an update that ruined it for a while, but this is now fixed. However, the problems that came with the update made me move to another browser as, at the time, Edge was unusable. If it wasn't for that disastrous update, I would still be using it, as I really liked it. It's a very decent browser. I still use it for work related browsing.

I personally think EDGE is actually a more versatile & capable browser and has quite a lot of tools and utilities. The UI is polished and the overall experience is smooth but it's still not as popular as other browsers. There are instances of rough bits and updates are not always stable and have bugs but still I hope Microsoft keeps it up and does a little more in its advertising department.

Microsoft Edge is a solid browser with smooth performance and fast loading. The sidebar and collections feature make organizing tabs easier, and it integrates well with Microsoft services. Privacy tools like tracking prevention add a nice layer of security. Occasionally, there are minor compatibility issues, and it can use more memory than expected, but overall, it’s reliable and has become one of my go-to browsers. Great job, Microsoft!

Location request broken after latest update. Normally each site that requests location will give me a pop-up that allows or denies location. This no longer happens, which breaks the functionality of the sites for which I would like to allow location access. Also, periodically, typing in the address bar no longer works. Not sure if it's the keyboard (also a Microsoft product), or this, but these kind of bugs are embarrassing.

I've been using Edge pretty much exclusively since it launched. I have no complaints, and I don't think about other browsers. That's as good as it gets far as I'm concerned. I see no reason to use anything else. For the desktop version: fix the issue of total browser freeze for several seconds when dropping pages into a bookmarks folder. If not done perfectly, it happens every time. That's the one thing that looks subpar. Otherwise, great product. Another lifer for me like OneNote.

I love edge as a developer, it ties into everything I do in Microsoft very well. I've become so used to it that I started running it in MintOS Linux as well. its for that reason I use it on my phone. I can jump between work, personal projects, university work and continue with my searching from my pc to my phone. its also really fast. I did notice that sometimes it gets triggered by YouTube with its ad block but almost never on some of my devices. only oddity so far.

In my opinion it's the best web browser. Especially if you use windows, it doesn't slow it down and use the same amount of CPU that Google Chrome does or even Firefox. it also has a feature called "collections" that will sync across devices. so you can create a collection of websites you want to save in the same collection that you can access from your phone, laptop/desktop, and tablet. it also has a "read aloud" feature that works really great and runs in the background while not in the app

Any web "browser" for Android THAT CAN'T EVEN PRODUCE A WEB PAGE and has NO SETTINGS is of no use to anyone. I CANNOT EVEN SIGN IN! I am TIRED of trying to find either. You are a waste of time. My recommendation? Do. Not. Download. This. Product. It. Does. Not. Work. And no, I DO NOT want to add shortcuts to a page I cannot see, nor do I want the shortcuts I said NO to three times already popping up ever and over with no page to put them on

This app sucks. I had to get it because Microsoft's authentication app was no longer going to have the auto fill feature cuz Edge was going to be filling it but more often than not the auto fill doesn't work! I have to open the browser, go to settings, and copy it from the saved password section and then paste it manually. Way to drag us to this garbage browser and then make it not work, Microsoft. Unrelated but also screw you for hiking up the prices of Game Pass to 30 bucks a month.

Microsoft Edge is fine, but there's a bug there that's been bothering me. Every time I want to type something and I get finished, and the moment I try to hit send on whatever website, the keyboard ends up hiding the typing bar and it makes me end up tapping things I don't want. I tried to uninstall it and reinstall, and restart my device but it didn't work. Is it the app or the keyboard, and if it's either or can you fix it?

Outside of Microsoft's norms, I think they have taken something (Chromium) and made it better. Yes, the privacy situation is criminal, but such is the case with everything. If you want to lock it down, it can be done. I am in the fortunate position of being old enough not to give a damn if I am tracked, and so I simply embrace all the customizable options based on everything I do, say, smell, etc. If you are young, fight the fight. Otherwise, Edge is extremely fast, stable and feature packed.

I emailed screen recording per developer request. No reply.**** This was my long my chosen default browser on my S23U. Despite a few issues, it was great. Starting two weeks ago, attempting to open it immediately returned an error message: "Oh, no! Something went wrong. We'll work on that." I tried the recommended cache clearing to no avail. So, delete data or uninstall, both of which will lose my Collections & Favorites, are the only options???!!! So, you said you'd work on it. Where's the fix?

It's my favorite browser. So why 3 stars? Because every few months I have to uninstall and reinstall it. It just starts crashing and no amount of deleted data, cache, tabs, etc makes it work again. I have to reinstall. Annoying. But I make money using it. About 30-40 Dollars a year. Edit, can't cash my points out. customer service ignores me. switched browsers.
