This app has potential. It's a great concept. However, it is hard to find instructions on thinks like tracking things manually instead through Google fit. After i connected to googile fit and fitbit, my phone would not hold a charge. I NEVER have issues with my battery otherwise. I would try this app again if it would connect directly to fitbit and not drain my bettery. Not to mention, I wasted 2 hours of my life getting it connected to google fit and fitbit connected to that 🤦
Reviews for Migraine Insight: Tracker
I used to love this app. It claims you can still use it for free but any time you try to view the calendar it creates a pop up, pretty much forcing you to buy the pro version to see any data. I used to use this in conjunction with another free app that I couldn't decide between but guess I'm using the other one now
I tried Migraine Insight and Migraine Buddy side-by-side for a while, and Migraine Insight is by far the better app. The interface is much cleaner. When I'm having a migraine, I can add it quickly with all necessary details (important when I'm in pain). It's also much easier than paper records (my previous method). The optional AI component also is great, and well worth paying for. I learned about some triggers I didn't know about. If you use Migraine Buddy, you can import your data.
I had this app so I could keep track of my migraines for a disability rating through the VA. Imagine my surprise when I go back into the app after nearly a year of having it just to find out that I can't view my previous entries without paying a premium fee. That is scummy and down right malicious.
I have been using this app for a couple of months now, and it has been so helpful. This app makes it as easy as tapping an icon to add an item to your daily log. And it's easy to add or delete trackers as needed. The most helpful feature so far, for me, has been the ability to generate a report summarizing the frequency and duration of my episodes. It makes it so much easier to communicate with my doctor.
This is the only migraine tracker I've tried, but I find the input confusing. Time defaults, and it's weirdly hard to tell if you're updating the episode or the med within the episode. There's also a bug where if you try to look at past months the subscription ad pops up and bumps you back to the current month. I'll probably just go back to tracking on a calendar so I can actually see past episodes.
very helpful for tracking my post concussion headaches and migraines. after a month of free use however, any touch on the screen causes the "go premium" pop up to show which makes it really annoying and difficult to look at my graph etc. edit: appreciated the response. I'm on workers comp from my injury so don't have a lot of extra money for paid apps. as a suggestion maybe reduce how many times it can pop up each time the app is opened, or put a timer on it per popup?
I used to be able to look at the history in the calendar view, which was the most helpful way for me to view my data, but now you can't look at past months without an ad for premium popping up and sending you back to the current month. According to another reply from the developer, this is by design, and viewing the past calendar is now a premium feature. That was the main feature for me, so I'll no longer be using this.
This app has been absolutely invaluable in figuring out some of my more obscure triggers (like caffeine and changes in air pressure) after 15 years of trying to do it myself. It's so easy to use that it's become second nature to log my constant symptoms and medications. And the option to export my data is super useful when I have check ups with my neurologist. Definitely recommend
Update: SERIOUSLY!? I'm paying too much money on this app for it to freeze and crash every time I input data. It's not even helping anymore because it's not tracking anything because it freezes every time I input a trigger, a workout, or a medication I'm using. Works well enough. Crashes and freezes everytime I try to add a workout.
