I've been using Everlance for 7 years, and the app has become quirkier and less functional over the years. Now the limit of 30 drives per month has forced me to either subscribe or use something else. I received an offer to subscribe for $24 off the regular price, but getting that discount proved to be impossible even after working with Everlance support. I am likely going to have to find something else to track my business miles. Even MileIQ allows 40 drives per month for free!
Reviews for Mileage Tracker by Everlance
← Back to Mileage Tracker by EverlanceApp does everything you would want for a mileage log. Unfortunately, it wants to be active at all times. I only want to log my work hours (so I selected the appropriate options). This has resulted in countless notifications when the app is not open and multiple pop-up tips and "suggestions" whenever the app is open. Also, even when the app is not open, if your phone moves more than 5 inches, you will repeatedly get asked if this is a trip for work or pleasure, despite my selected options.
it's the best app I have ad a contractor. Not only is it keeping track of my mileage but my time on jobs and running for parts or lunch etc. I don't need to be constantly looking at the clock and writing times down throughout the day. I am able to focus on the task at hand and jump out and go when I arrive and jump in and leave when done. Somtimes I have gone back a whole week and accurately to the minute written my hours down throughout each day for 15 or more different jobs that I have gone on
When it works it's great. But sometimes it doesn't, which means I'm never confident in it's accuracy. Auto trip detection keeps recording multiple trips as one trip, even after extended time not driving - like during a day at the office, or overnight. Several times I have gone to categorize a trip to find it has not been recorded. It will often create duplicate trips. I just can't trust it anymore. Update: after getting a phone with more memory it works much much better ;)
I LOVE THIS APP! However I currently put 1 star because I purchased the yearly subscription, yet I have no access in the app. It seems to think I never paid for premium, even though Google Play shows an active subscription. I can't call their support without premium, and I've sent several emails and received no answer! if I could just get this issue resolved I would give this 5 stars, it's a great app. only needs to allow fine tuning of tracker speed, so it doesn't start while I'm walking lol
I'm using the free version. It keeps categorizing my saved work address and work trips as "Creative" even though I've deactivated Creative and keep changing the address category to Work. I also don't like how the app tries to force you into a paid subscription, by not allowing me to go back from certain settings. Also doesn't capture mileage automatically well, and has me driving straight thru the forest, cutting several miles off my commute.
It's not adding up all my miles. After a trip my accumulated miles are not going up, and some trips say "0" claimed. I have been using the app for 6 months, but June miles are not accumulating. How can I claim my miles this year if the app is glitching like this? (Edit: I found missing work miles but they are under the "other" category, however, I checked all categories, and they are not listed under any of the categories. They just appear in "other". All miles are work miles so can count them
This app use to be perfect for what I needed. As of lately it doesn't track me even when I have the app open while I'm driving. I have literally lost track of thousands of miles due to this. Customer service is non-existent, I couldn't get help through chat or any other method. I cancelled my subscription hopefully I can find a similar app that actually works!!
Update: Not sure what is going on however the app is no longer working properly specifically the auto trip detect feature. I reached out to support and it has been very slow to help. I have completed the steps requested by "Rob" the supervisor and provided screen shots with no response. This has been going on since July 4th. today is July 17th. No urgency to solve this issue. Very disappointed. I paid for a full year might be time to refund my unused portion. Great service!! A must have.
Update: Customer service was great about reaching out to solve my problem. Misses about half of my trips. Its very frustrating. If I don't classify a trip right away, it won't track any additional trips until I classify the previous one. Yes, I need to be more diligent about classifying at the end of each day, but there's no safeguards in place for in case I do not.
I've been comparing several mileage tracking apps, and this one has a HUGE flaw: it does not show the expected odometer readings. I input my beginning odometer reading when adding my vehicle, so this should be a very simple feature. As it is now, I cannot put my faith in this app's accuracy without being able to see what the app thinks my odometer should read after each trip. Thank goodness for free trials, because this app is much too expensive for me to trust it when I file my taxes.
Prior to the Aug 20,2025 update, the app worked great for me. Sadly since the update 75% of my trips didn't start auto tracking until well into my trip. This has forced me to have to manually input them as the app no longer allows an edit to alter the actual milage attributed to the trip. Unfortunately my company will be undoubtedly questioning the sheer amount of manual entries.
I use to use Everlance and pay for the subscription. But now the app doesn't allow round trips anymore unless you enter it manually. I would make 3 deliveries in 1 go and would return back to my zone, which made round trip a lot easier since it saves the last address I deliver to and the gps keeps track of my other two deliveries. But now round trip only allows one address and doesn't keep track of my other two deliveries. Hope they bring it back, but I might find a different app to help me. 😢
terrible app! doesn't track your trips when you have it on, but it will "Start a trip" when your phone is literally laying on the armrest of your couch, not being moved at all! I've had this issue with trips ever since I started using almost a year ago! app support is a joke and they are also going up in the annual price what a surprise this app sucks don't waste your time!
I will come back and change this to 5 stars if they remove the requirement of adding a merchant when manually entering expenses. It doesn't even recognize the names of most common businesses like Lowe's or The Home Depot, you have to manually enter the address of the store location which is just silly. It should allow you to just enter a date, an amount, and a category and that's it. Other than that I have no complaints, everything else works well and is very useful.
totally unreliable. help is useless. only gives you packaged answers. billing problem they send you to Google and Google sends you back you can't resolve anything. Great when it works. No useful help when it stops. Don't use this app. it used to be so helpful now it is very frustrating. Everlance, if they respond will say something like "Sorry you are having trouble. make sure blah blah blah. Don't use it if you need it to work reliably.
I've been using this for years and usually it will auto track my trips. However, in the last month both me and my spouse are not having our trips auto tracked correctly. It won't activate at all, tracks only one way either to or from a location. The app is up to date, the battery saver isn't on, have tried restarting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling. I pay for the yearly subscription, and I don't think it's worth it.
I work in food delivery (DoorDash, Instacart, UberEats) and this app is a life saver! It starts tracking my mileage the moment it detects movement, and when I'm done I just tell it what that trip was for. I can also enter transactions, so I keep track of income and expenses too, and have everything related to work all in one place! I pay for the subscription (only $8/month), and that allows me to export all this info to Excel spreadsheets (which have sortable columns after download).
I love this app. The automation of my mileage calculation and the ease of use of the app are absolutely top notch, and it is good at keeping track of receipts too. But I can't use it. The paid version is way too expensive. I would be happy with some level of one time fee, but to pay every month, it is just totally unreasonable. The free option does everything I want to do with the app, but it lasts only about 10 days. I have to have a different app for the other 20 days.
app works pretty much how you would expect it to however sometimes it doesn't automatically track in the background so I always have to make sure I start it before I leave, and I do long tracking because I'm moving all day long, and lately it will preemptively close my trip while stopped for 2 minutes and start a new one or just close my trip and I love milage. I can just merge them later but it's annoying.
