There's no photo verification system used on this app so there are a ton of fake profiles. Users with one photo, no bio, etc... it's hard to have a good user experience when 3/4 of your likes aren't with real people. Edit: There are definitely more bots and fake profiles than people. You'll buy a subscription to see your likes only to find that they're all fake profiles. Don't waste your money.
Reviews for Mingle2: Dating, Chat & Meet
← Back to Mingle2: Dating, Chat & MeetUpdate: leaving 3 stars but with warning ⚠️. Just to many scammers for my liking. I got tired of reporting each porn star or some other model. I spent more time investigating profiles than enjoying myself while searching. Plus, many asked for money (gift card, bitcoins, etc). Like good grief. Ended up canceling my 6 month paying subscription. So, I deactivated my account and left. The Mingle2 app does work well. Mingle2 needs to remove the constant flow of fake profiles.
The app seems fake. lots of people message you as soon as you get online but then they don't answer you back. Even when you turn notifications off, notifications still pour in. I set messages only to come in and I keep getting messages over and over again for likes. also truly unlimited is not truly unlimited messages. If you send more than two it says you're going too fast and blocks your messages for a while. Don't waste your time.
Update: seems to be working better and not crashing but now they have ads that pop up and talk really loud that jolt you out of your chair, that everyone around you can hear.....noooo...! So keep your volume turned down while you use this app. It was working well. A few days ago a full page ad started to pop up every time you try to do anything, and it causes the app to crash.
It seems to be an okay app for the fact that most things are behind a paywall. I think it would be fair if you gave us one free daily reveal of our hidden matches so we can make better connections. Also it never keeps my filter in my area, and there are a lot of times where I have to readjust my distance to get the right results because for some reason it resets the default. Basically I think we need more ability to connect without having to pay for it.
Abysmal. Theres no actual way to use this in any way shape or form unless your into scammers 24/7. i wasnt looking for a date, around 1week of use but the time i spent there i had not interacted with a single person. There needs to be made changes in the way it verifies accounts. Like seriously, anyone with an email can use this. In today's world that dated verification is useless.
I rated the app as a generous two-stars. I went into settings and selected no notifications. They still come. But what really gets me is all of the pop-ups. I'm going to delete the app and start using the website again. At least my device can block pop-ups. Oh and they've done nothing about the fake (scammer) profile I've reported. Seriously, it's not that hard to locate and delete them.
So first of all this app has a lot of interface problems. Notifications that don't lead anywhere, numbers that are indicating missed messages but there's nothing there. Having to leave a chat and re-enter it in order to see messages. Taking forever to scroll back up to old messages. But I have actually found people here. I don't know where these conversations will take me, but I'm having them with real people. it works with the ads, even if they are annoying. I ended up paying $30. Worth it!
Just started on Mingle and I don't have enough experience yet to rate it. However, the policies are clear and very well constructed. I look forward to more experiences. The one thing I am not as sure about is the continuing request to add this or that. When on a fixed income there isn't always extra cash to be spent. It kind of interfered with any chats I may be involved in.
Well, there are mostly fakes on here. All seem to lie about their location. Most people are 100s-1000s of miles from the location on their profiles. Most are just scammers after money or personal info. Out of 100's of people talked to, only 1 actually had the real location on their profile. Overall, a waste of time, unless you want to be constantly spammed, and asked for money, apple cards, steam wallets, etc...
So far, I have had more real conversations than anywhere else. Most apps, anytime you start a new conversation, you practically get a pre-recorded message. The same questions, at the same time during the conversation . Bots these days are awful. Then there are the ones where you speak with an a.i. Here, I have had the freedom to (so far) choose if I want to pay for the service. Sure, for the free version, you will get the occasional ad. But it isn't that bad. It is , what it is.
Every time I try to upload a picture, it zooms into my face, insanely close. I try to use the little cropping tool that is provided, but it does basically nothing. Aside from that, I can't even see most of my messages and stuff because it wants me to pay. There is also no way to set the age and location on who can see your profile. I have had several people blocked because they were being creepy and they were like, 20 years older than me.
No different than any other dating app. Maybe worse. Likes are all from outside of search area. Search filters change automatically to make more "matches". App said if I gave a review and uploaded a photo of it that I would get 24 hours of free views of "likes", it did not.... It has a lifetime membership option, probably not a good sign...
Pros: Messaging is unlimited on the "free" version and you don't have to upgrade to see who's viewed your profile. Cons: Whatever search distance you set, it doesn't matter. The app automatically gives you results of profiles hundreds of miles away. Mingle2 uses ghost writers and practices deceptive tactics. Also, When you're in a conversation with someone you have to exit, refresh and reenter to see the next message. So many fakes on this app.
This app is very similar to Tinder, which I very much like. The price to view members who like you is just where it needs to be. However, the app always restarts when my phone accidently loses wifi connection, which happened while I was writing messages and making my profile, so I had to start all over. The distance spectrum is also way off, when looking for people within a 50 mile radius, it was showing me people well over 2 hours away. A few tweaks and this app could easily surpass the others.
Loaded with bots. The search feature has issues. I selected the age range and I still kept getting profiles way outside of that, furthermore, I searched a 50 mile range and still ended up with global results. Constant push to upgrade, sure, some features work but if you want all the features you'll have to pay. It is the typical dating app, lure you in with their so called free app then restrict you if you don't pay and subscribe. It's no different than many other date apps.
spent a few hours trying to find a single real person. Paid for premium account just so I could see who "liked" me. App glitched as soon as I paid. Didn't change anything. Tried to talk to multiple people but all of them were fake accounts. Not a single real person, and most of my matches were out of state. Don't pay money for this scam, it's not even worth the download. I tried to dispute the charge but I might be out of $30 just because of the nature of the purchase. No response from help team
Very limited in the "Free" version as marketed. Basically it is the platform that holds portfolios. Inable to interact or communicate or even see who viewed you, it's pay to play. This is fine but don't over emphasize and market a "free" application it is only the doormat. Second, have the option to organize potential matches by distance and when someone says within 30 miles, if there's only 6 people show me 6 people. Don't change MY preferences just to show me more of YOUR customers.
It's okay. Definitely free to use, but the advertising can get frustrating. Otherwise they don't really block too much from use. Currently they are only preventing me from seeing who is looking at my profile. Other than that, I'm able to message freely and there aren't any limits on messages per day. The perks from a one time pay membership may be worth it for quality of life rather than being too obstructive to the dating app.
This app is full of fake profiles that reappear after reporting. There is one image that has been on at least 20 profiles with different locations. It would be nice if they would institute some level of verification for profiles that actually works. The other issue that is present is the location filters that don't seem to matter at all. I set my distance filter, and it only gives me one or two matches, and the rest are on the other side of the country.
