Reviews for MLB

I am so frustrated... paid $150 for full subscription. The advertisements SAY you can watch all Blackout games but that's not true! it's not even May yet and it seems at least once a week Apple TV or victory TV or some other sports station has paid money to get exclusive rights to the Rangers games. It's not right. if I pay that much, I should be able to watch all the games. STOP advertising that you can watch all the games, even blackout games.

I have to uninstall then reinstall the app on my phone every time I want to watch a game, otherwise I get an error message saying streams can't load. Horrible. Also, MLB clearly manipulated this app's rating because it was at 2 stars a few weeks ago, and problems have clearly continued to persist. Not to mention customer support is clearly just AI, and if you do manage to luck into a real person, they go out of there way to not be helpful.

It's nearly impossible to look up stats. There's no info on delays other than saying the game's delayed. And the radio prices are outlandish. Gameday is OK for checking scores but you have to click through to the box score to see who scored when and how (unless you want to scroll for a looong time). Alas, for info, just about any sports site is better than this app.

Works great... when it works anyway. There are still some "out of market" games that won't play... and the price keeps jumping up every year. it's at $50 now... and I don't see an audio only option anymore, which is what I used to prefer anyway. This is def not worth the price at this point anymore.

Update for 25.16.0.57. Dropping to 1 star. More final scores spoiled. Was just in the bottom of the 6th and the box score on the bottom of the screen gave me the FINAL. Absolutely SHODDY from a subscription that costs so very, very much money. You'll take your single star and THANK me for the blessing, MLB. It's only because 0 stars isn't an option. Shame on you.

I'd think that for the amount of money that I pay for an MLB TV subscription, I could tune into a game when I want to, but it's so incredibly buggy. I tune into the live stream but immediately get kicked out. Happening once is one thing, but it's been like this for several months now. (This review is mainly for MLB TV, not so much the rest of the app)

Fine for viewing stats and standings, but I mostly listen to game audio when I can't listen live and the experience is very poor. The Audio selection screen is a huge spoiler because it lists the number of innings for extra inning games (like "F/11"), instead of just listing "Final" like the other games. Please fix that! Also the in-app audio player frequently closes itself if you switch out of the app or pause, so you have to try to figure out where you were. Super annoying. Devs, please fix!

Allowing me to hide the score does not help when the highlight videos show what happened as you open the app. I should be able to set what I want shown on my home screen. Every time this app is updated, there are more steps to get to the game feed. And more opportunities to see what's happening. Same issues. However, now, multiple games are cut short on archived games!

The quality depends on what platform you watch it on. I have no issues watching a game from my Samsung phone, but God forbid I try to watch a game on the MLB at Bat App on Roku. Every time three game goes to commercials, there's a "network error" or the black screen with spinning ball that doesn't go away. I've reset everything, wifi is fine, roku apps are up to date. it only happens when the game pauses and goes to commercial. very frustrating. happens at least 18 times per game.

I typically watch 4-6 games a week. Pros - I love being able to watch or listen to several games a week from across the league. As I don't have a "home" team, I follow players more than teams. In general I love baseball! Cons - 2 things have me questioning my membership. 1) Paying for a full membership and yet having games broadcast on Apple TV exclusive is a slap in the face to members. 2) Not having a home team yet still not being able to watch games due to local blackout restrictions.

Widgets recently stopped working, and that was one of the few things I felt worked well for this app. Live score notifications only sometimes show up, there's been several times where I open the app and a few runs have scored for either team that I wasn't notified about. The pregame radio show starts late, I stopped using this app for radio in favor of my local station so I can actually listen to the whole pregame. This app could be awesome, it's just not there.

App keeps getting worse. Widget no longer works, recent update removed the ability to keep the screen on when in Gameday pitch-by-pitch. I no longer use the audio because it doesn't sync with the P-by-P and the layering of other ads over the local broadcast ads often means part of the broadcast is cut off at both beginning and end of ads. Add in the annoying video ads between every half inning on the P-by-P and I'm seriously considering dropping my subscription and the app after this season.

This the ONLY streaming app I have that constantly buffers on my smart TV, Chromecast from my phone, or on my Xumo box. It gets worse later in the game. Like clockwork, around the 6th inning of games the pauses start. As the game goes on, they are longer and more frequent. I've tried all the troubleshooting. All inquiries end with me being told it's my network. But I have 1GBPS internet, and have this problem on none of my other apps. Only way I can watch my out of market team. Frustrating.

I pay for the yearly subscription and it's a ripoff. Half of the time the games are "blacked out." When talking to customer service, they claim that my ip address always changes. Supposedly, I have to always restart my router. If that doesn't work, I'm supposed to call them and wait on hold until they "temporarily" fix the issue. I say temporarily because this has happened on many occasions. Don't pay for this subscription.

says I don't have a subscription on the app, but the website works perfectly.... Edit: this is actually the worst app on the whole Google Play store. I emailed support about issues logging in and they never got back to me. Like I said, the website works fine but it forces you to use your mobile app on a phone. No way I renew the membership this is straight garage and a waste of money. Of course this is when the games count most and I can't even watch them.

I subscribed to the At Bat trial for 7 days with verification of screenshot that my credit card is on file should i choose to accept the paid subscription. Frustrating! I cannot open it when wanting to hear the playoff games that day. Each time I access the Audio link, it loops me right back to the purchase subscription page asking me to select and pay. And so, I think maybe should i try the same process only for it to It tell me I am no longer allowed to access a free trial. duh... help!!!

Widgets no longer work (August 2025), which is something I use often. When listening to audio only broadcasts, app randomly stops. Scores and in-game stats work fine on phone. Given that it costs $150 for 6 months of use, it would be nice to have bugs addressed in a more timely manner. Also, it would be nice if there was a companion WareOS app.

This app does some things well, but completely fails on others. My biggest issue is notifications... they work occasionally, but then will do nothing for several days in a row. I have tried the fixes from their support website (which don't help because they all assume that the user's device/network connection is at fault - useless for experienced users who already checked before looking for help). Nothing has helped. Please don't post the link again - that's more insulting than helpful now.

Love this app. Super easy to navigate. I like being able to mark more than one team as favorites. A few suggestions: 1) a setting where the score doesn't automatically appear when you open it in case you're playing catch up (both on the TV app and the mobile) 2) when watching on TV it shows the innings on the progress bar at the bottom and if there's no bottom of the 9th it spoils who wins Just ways to make it more enjoyable for those who can't watch every game live.

MLB TV is a scam. We are seven games into the season and I have only been able to watch three. You sell me a season subscription, and I expect to see every game. But for mumbo jumbo reasons my game of choice has been blacked out for ESPN, Apple TV, Fox Sports, and even MLB itself. This is not a problem one sees with the NFL. Sell your product all the way or not at all. No wonder baseball is losing it to other sports.
