So here's my honest take on MO Hunting. I've tested a bunch of outdoor/hunting apps and this one's pretty solid. The core functionality works well - being able to buy permits, check-in harvests, and keep track of past activity is super convenient. The map feature is a nice bonus too. On the downside, the UI feels a little dated and the ad placements can be intrusive. But for a free app, it gets the job done. If you hunt or fish regularly in Missouri, this is worth having on your phone.

Description

I’ve been using MO Hunting for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you manage your hunting and fishing permits in Missouri. You can buy your permits right in the app, and there’s some cool features like being able to notch your deer or turkey tag and check in your harvest straight from your phone. And

The main thing you do is log in with your Conservation Number, which is that 9-digit code on the back of your license card. From there, you can see all your current and past permits, renew them, and even upload photos of your deer or turkey. There’s also a map showing wildlife management areas and other public hunting spots which is pretty useful.

Look, if you hunt or fish in Missouri, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this app. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times and the ads can get annoying – but overall it does the job and is worth checking out if you’re an outdoorsy person in this state.
