Reviews for MobileSheets

An amazingly good app. Very well designed, with powerful features. Suitable for advanced users as well as computer novices. (Recommended to a friend in their nineties, who also really likes it.) Needed features are accessible and unused features generally do not get in the way. The app developer (Hi, Mike!) is very responsive and clears up any problems quickly. Good documentation, tutorial videos and a support forum. For a relatively niche app, this is top class.

Have used this for several years. It's fantastic for gigging. I carry well over 5000 lead sheets in a package that weighs maybe 1 pound and fits inside of my case cover! Everything is perfectly indexed so finding a particular item is very easy. I'll never again struggle with a suitcase full of fake books. Also, the developer is very cooperative.

Surprisingly intuitive (I've been using it for a few days and only had to consult the manual twice) and full.of options. Works great on my Galaxy Tab with the S pen - marking up scores is fast and looks great with all the built-in "stamps" (e.g., dynamics, notes, clefs). I used the Trisl version for about 30 minutes before buying the Pro. Excited to use it in performance. Cannot recommend it enough.

This app is mature and works as expected. I have used it t0 load a bunch of pdf fakebooks where I have created my own index files. The forum discussions help you to learn the tricks necessary.with a little google search you can find partially built csv files for many of the most widely used fake books. There is a windows version available in the Microsoft store that allows you to add tunes, and create set lists with your pc. Then you can transfer your work to your tablet either by creating a backup and transferring it to your table or by syncing between your desktop (server) to your tablet (device). All of these functions work as expected.

I don't often leave reviews, but I have to say, this app is incredible. So many well thought out features, just the basic organization of a setlist is so fast and easy, and I keep finding new things to make my life easier, such as the "links" function to quickly jump from one page back to another in the instance of a DS al coda making my performance seamless. 100% worth the purchase, wish I would have bought sooner.

Fantastic product that helps me see my organ and piano music without touching any page turning device. I use it in the scrolling mode and simply tell it how long it takes to play the piece, then I press the start button and it scrolls to the end of the music without the stress of turning pages. It's especially good for people with visual impairment like myself because you don't have to spread the music far to the left or right, and am able to always see the music directly in front of my eyes!

This app had been great. I'm a professional musician, and use it for my big band, my brass quintet, and especially my broadway show books at my theater. Recently though, the app just closes in the middle of my show. It will only happen one time a show. Never for smaller pdf music files. I even purchased a new chromebook with much larger striated m storage, hoping it would fix this, but it didn't. There is no repair available, so I'm kind of stuck.

Great app and a very responsive creator. Update: after using for many years and bragging about it many times, I've come to realize a big problem. I have over 500 tunes that are scattered over that many directories plus sub-directories. When I try to extract the tunes I get a very long number for title. Even though the app offers to use the title listed in the app, that optioned didn't work and still only gave a long number for a title. That's two big problems for reclaiming my tunes.

Love the app. Been using it for years. Though I just updated for the first time in about three years, and it looks like the mid staff stamps are no longer included. I was hoping the updates added features, not take some away! I hope there's a way to use that instead of drawing individual lines when I need to rewrite my part...that need happens all the time in Broadway shows.

I could type out a long love story about this app, but I think that would be uncomfortable for everyone. But I do what to show a little love! I have been using MobileSheetsPro on my Samsung Tab S3 for a few years now for all my musical pit playing and it's been rock solid. I have an AirTurn pedal that works flawlessly with it and using the Samsung S-Pen to annotate is about as close to pencil/paper as you can get. BTW, link buttons are a lifesaver in music theatre! SO MANY CUTS. Lately, as I have been scanning my whole music library, I've been importing everything into the app, both on my tablet and then syncing to my computers. I've started using it daily in my university teaching and it is working great. There's so much more, but honestly, if you're a Windows or Android user, pay for apps and let them organize your music life!

Good sheet music app for storing digital music. It's so nice to have most of my piano music on my tablet. The app lets you crop the file & save all the meta data that you need to easily search anything. You can also sync your library which is fantastic. The one feature I hope they eventually add is the ability to add non-pdf music to your library. All my old sheet music is fine since they are PDFs but any new digital sheet music I've bought is epub & can't be added. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Seems like a pretty useful app so far. The import functions work quickly and easily, and it is easy to create sets. One thing I don't understand, though, is why the pages look fuzzy when I zoom in. My PDF viewing program doesn't do this, my photo gallery doesn't do this (with the same files), so why should this program do it? Other than that, I like it so far.

Very useful and powerful app to handle sheet music. I play in multiple band and can divide the sheet music into collections for each band and then create set lists for each gig. You can upload parts of your repertoire to the cloud so others with the same app can get your newest music. I also find it very useful that I can annotate the pages with scribbles and text. There are many other features I haven't even used yet. Note: I made the initial mistake of copying my PDF files into my tablet and trying to get this app to directly use the files from their location. That is not how the app works! It edits the file in import. So use the free companion app to import the files. Also note that using external memory cards will likely make the app much slower! Use internal memory instead. In my experience, it's about half a megabyte per tune, so my 1300 songs use about 600MB which most tablets should be able to handle off internal memory without a problem.

I have been using Mobile Sheets for about 9 months now. This app is really good. I use it for live playing. I only categorize my songs by title and artist. Real easy to access songs live. If I get a request and I don't know the name of the song I can look it up by the artist. Setlists and collections of songs are very easy to make so you have specific songs that are easily accessible. Support is amazing. Fast and accurate responses. Thank you for that. The app works flawlessly.

I've used virtually every other Android-compatible sheet music viewer/reader out there, paid or free. I finally landed on MobileSheets. I used the free version first and discovered this is the best music reader out there. Knowing this, I was absolutely OK with paying what seemed to be a steep price for anything in the Play Store. Truth is you get what you pay for with the Pro version. When I download charts from our church's scheduling app, they are imported directly into MobileSheets, saving me the extra work of copying from one place to another. The cropping feature is handy, too, as it allows me to make the image as large as possible for easier viewing. I also use it with my Bluetooth page turner without problems. It does way more than I need, but with the alternatives, I had to settle for less, so I'm pleased. MobileSheets has a steeper-than-usual learning curve, but is powerful and worth the effort you put into learning how to use it. I only wish I'd been able to start here instead of wading through all the others.

Really a great app for anyone who wants to have their sheet music digital. Because of the low system requirements, I'm using an old 10inch tablet with it and it runs really well. The app is feature-full with great support if there are any issues. When paired with the desktop companion, it is like an open sesame. You can easily manage everything! Definitely recommended to anyone who carries sheet music around and doesn't want to deal with carrying a giant binder. This is definitely the way to go!

This is easy to set up and use once you get the hang of it. Now, I'm quickly snapping pics of my library via my phone and transferring them to my bigger tablet using the built in sync options. PDFs instantly upload as well. There's lots of other options, including the ability to write on the sheets. The setlist feature is awesome. I wanted an app that could eliminate the need to carry my many books of music around to gigs. This app does that and much more.

One more 5 star review for what is inarguably the "killer app" for a Chromebook tablet / convertible. The app works beautifully with or without a keyboard, and the ability to quickly create a blank page (or start with a blank staff sheet or lead sheet, though you've gotta find those yourself to start with) then write a chart real quick with a pen/stylus... Just wonderful. You can also bulk select and edit or tag songs. Just perfect. Easily the best money I've spent on music gear in ages. For the price, perhaps ever.

I was enjoying the free version, I got the full version so I could sync my library across all my devices, and immediately found problems with syncing the library. If I change the name of a song on one device and hit sync, then when I hit sync on the other device, instead of changing the name, it creates a duplicate with the changed name. Syncing the library is also a pretty big pain because of a few other reasons that are too big to fit in this review.

I've been using this for practicing songs with my chorus, and it's been absolutely fantastic! There's a TON of features and you can do a lot with it. Several months in, I'm still discovering handy features. I've only had one big issue, and the developer was able to help me solve the problem right away! I've noticed syncing libraries with songs that have been edited on one device will duplicate the song...using the backup and restore instead with a cloud folder solved that problem for me!
