Description
Been using the Monash University FODMAP diet app for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps you manage Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) by following the low FODMAP diet. The team at Monash University developed this and it’s pretty solid if you struggle with gut issues.
Here’s what you do – the app walks you through the 3-step FODMAP diet. There’s a food guide that shows which foods are high or low in FODMAPs, which is super handy. It’s also got a bunch of low FODMAP recipes you can try. And the app has general info about IBS and how the diet works, which is good if you’re new to all this.
Look, if you’ve got digestive problems, this app is worth checking out. It’s not perfect – the recipe section could be bigger for example – but overall it does a good job of helping you manage your diet and symptoms. Definitely helped me figure out what foods work for my IBS.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on the Monash University FODMAP diet app. I've tried a few different apps and programs for managing IBS, and this one is probably the most comprehensive and science-backed I've seen. And the info from the Monash researchers is legit, and the app does a great job translating that into an easy-to-use tool. In my experience, it's been really helpful for identifying trigger foods and sticking to a low FODMAP diet. The only downside is that it can be a bit overwhelming at first with all the details, but the tutorials walk you through it well.

App is informative on ins/outs of the diet, including lots of recipes and journal space. On the downside, database could definitely use improvement. Lots of rare foods included, but common...
