Been using Motive Driver for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that helps truck drivers track their hours and stay compliant with the ELD mandate. Pretty solid if you’re a commercial driver.

There’s a bunch of useful features – you can connect it to a Motive vehicle gateway device via Bluetooth, and it’ll automatically log your drive time. And it’ll even give you alerts when you’re running low on hours. And there’s a dashboard that shows your total hours worked for the week and how much driving time you have left.

Look, if you drive for a living, you’ll probably find this really helpful. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it gets the job done. Worth checking out if you need an easy way to track your hours and stay on the right side of the law.

I've tested a bunch of ELD apps and Motive Driver is one of the better ones. It's got all the core features you need, like automatic logging and HOS tracking. The alerts are really useful too. Sure, the design is a little bland and it takes some getting used to, but it's reliable and does what it needs to do. I'd recommend this over other options if you're a commercial driver looking to stay compliant.
