Can't rate any lower or I would. Been using for a couple of years. It has never really been great but they just did updates that run it off the cliff. Call several times to get problems fixed but all you get is someone who speaks really broken english and gives you a run around and tries to convince you it's all your fault and you should learn how to work their system their way. What you have is a bunch of computer programmers wanting to tell you how to drive your truck. GETTING RID OF MINE.

For example there are five steps, depending on which way you navigate, to get to the form option. Another annoyance in the app is the notification question whether to receive notifications.. there's not an option to deny them completely. The last problem with this app is it doesn't keep accurate logs. Every duty change is 15 minute intervals. Explaining the problem to customer service is always a waste.
I think is a a decent ap for eld use, however, it is missing a key component that would make it worth a 5* review. The one thing I hate is that I have no idea when or how much time I am gaining in a shift. This is especially important when using the 8/2 or 7/3 split rule. Every other eld provider includes a section for showing how many hours will be gained and what time/date the hours will be gained. I am not a fan of the guessing game. That's why these things were created, to remove guessing.
I have one major complaint and it is that this app needs to be optimized better for battery usage. In time, this app is going to destroy my battery due to how hot it makes it. Whether I'm driving or not, the phone will remain super hot unless I "force close" the app when I arrive at a truck stop. This is not good for the one device drivers use most, our phone. Secondly, I wished the app was more new user friendly. For example, showing tips on certain things you can do for certain scenarios.
This app used to be top notch five stars, but has started to get more and more bugs over the last 2 years and is less easy to use than it used to be. This morning it suddenly won't let me edit an inspection so I can add mileage to it. It used to automatically write your latest milage to the inspection but doesn't anymore. All this said it's still a good app. I hope it doesn't get any worse though. I'd like to keep using it.
Been using this app for a few years through my company...always gets stuck in drive mode when ur Bluetooth disconne ts and no matter what you do you cannot get it to stop logging that you are driving even when you are not. Take like 24 hours to finally allow you to do anything it's annoying. But when it works it's great. Fix it. Allow the driver to access all controls even while in motion because....we aren't always in motion and cannot do anything to fix the problem from the in motion screen.
This app would be fine if it worked. But more often than not the app fails to recognize that my car is parked and refuses to let me exit drive mode. This leads to violations because I can't leave drive mode and can't take breaks, and the only way to fix it is to force disconnect everything, and that erases your log. So the end result is because of these errors I've been driving the truck for days but my logs don't get saved because the only way for me to change off of drive is to force quit.
Works ok but when it needs an update there is no warning, it just stops working. Does an "automatic log edit" by Motive everyday that adds another truck in a different division of my company to my logs and asks me to accept or deny. Our safety department has tried for 2 months to fix it with no luck. This edit has followed me into two different trucks so it must be attached to me somehow.
Less than one star! App constantly locks you in drive / in motion mode, and does not allow you to have access to change. It constantly freezes and does not keep accurate logs. App currently has me in PC off duty for the last 53hrs. It will not allow me to access anything to correct it. 3rd time this week. In motion support has been contacted everytime. Clearly they can't even fix it? Use a different ELD. I'm proposing that to my company as well. Very dissatisfied!!!!!
Horrible!!! Can't get correct equipment sent, then tech support wants to argue with you saying it should work but cable doesn't fit. Sent pictures... they just pass you from one tech to another and tell you to go to the dealership but don't want to give you any assistance with what it's going to cost. Would rate a zero if I could. Also good luck finding someone you can understand!
It was working great prior to about a month ago. I work from a device with multiple users. Every few days, it doesn't save my info on logs, I sign it for the day and leave the screen, and when I come back, there's nothing done for the day. We keep having to uninstall and reinstall the app to save days correctly. Super annoying and inconvenient. Only thing we think could be happening is that it doesn't handle multiple users on one device well. We never had this problem prior to a month ago.
Great app and used to have good customer service even for the free version. Since Motive took over the calls don't stop for more paid services and products. I already talked with an agent and told them I'm all set with everything i need but calls keep coming. Maybe it's better keep the app working with good features and great customer service and customers will be happy. If you keep "bullying" me I can't recommend this app and your services to others.
Just started with a company that uses this eld. I am NOT impressed. (GeoTab is simpler to use.) The writing on the screen is tiny, and is hard to see, especially since the letters are gray on a white background. My husband and I drive team, and the team function isn't available on the Apple tablet they gave us, so we have to log in and out and re-input data. It should stay until we change it, or at least through whole shift. It has to be put in every day after midnight.
Stupid app is always disconnecting from the truck when my screen turns off, even though I have all permissions enabled, and set to never put the app to sleep. Keeps saying my time is wrong, when it's correct. It will disconnect and fail to reconnect, and requires me to pull over on the shoulder of the road and pull the brakes before it will reconnect. It also logs me out every time dispatch is changing something and my password gets reset. Always issues, multiple times a day.
This app worked great for a while. Now it's been upgraded, and the sleeper period isn't recognized half of the time. Spent multiple hours, on the phone with them, just to listen to them argue against their own help pages. I've been using their products for over a decade now...no more. They can't resolve it, and it's already gotten us a log violation on our federal report.
Not a good app. We've had multiple issues with it being incredibly slow or just not working at all. Half the time when you try to upload a document, it won't let you select the document type after you take the picture, which of course means you can't upload the document. Other times, it will randomly disconnect the driver from the vehicle and you have to restart the tablet to get the app to work. Even when just trying to go between screens (Home, Logs, Notes, Documents, etc), it takes forever.
Very sluggish. Press on a key (button) and it acts like it is locked up, but it's just being stupidly slow to respond. Pops up with erroneous trucks to log into after you've logged out of them. I wouldn't recommend this software. It was bad before the February update now it's even worse. Trying to connect to Bluetooth is always an adventure in the morning. I hate this software but I'm forced to use it.
Everything is good except if you are off duty and forget to put it on personal conveyance. Once you go over 5 mph it records it as drive time. There were multiple times when I didn't get my 36 hr reset because I needed to run some errands and by the time I realized, it was too late. I asked my dispatcher and they say there's no way to edit it on their end. The app doesn't allow you as a driver to edit it. Today my logs show 22 seconds driving time. What run can you do in 22 seconds?!
3 stars for frustrating mediocrity. UI is generally good, performance is not. Fails to reconnect to the ELD all the time, even when connected directly with USB. How does it fail to find a connection that is physically there at all times? It boggles the mind. On bluetooth it's much worse and absolutely infuriating; my $40 blutooth stereo is much more reliable. It's also slow, often taking a full second to respond to a basic screen press when every other app on the same device runs right.
I hate this app with a passion. They're constantly making changes, and RARELY do they make anything better. The menu buttons constantly jump around, its only capable of finding my location about half the time, its very slow, and it now has the memory of a goldfish. Please pick a method of navigation and stick with it. Every time I finally get used to this garbage, you change it completely. The poleople that are forced to use this app don't have time to go back and forth over-and-over. UNRELIABLE
