Can you guys update this app so I can easily pick the amount of time. The app forces you to do the max time when the scroll wheel for the numbers doesn't work. You can highlight the wheel and manually put them in, but then you are waiting after that for an infinite amount of time for it to register and give you the ability to hit the submit button. This is poor UI for 2020. Unless it's on purpose to get people to hit the max time button cause it's sooooo much easier.

← Back to MPLS Parking7/24/23 - Over a week and no response from Flowbird. Flowbird parking app failed to complete transaction. It said try again. Gave up after three failed attempts. Used on site parking kiosk instead. All three charges are now on credit card. No record of the charges in the app, just charging my card. Called Flowbird. After taking details of me and incident, was told it would be escalated and I'd hear back via email in a week.
App requested payment method upon account creation, ensured that I save card to app for quick access, then proceeded never to offer me said quick access -- I had to type in all card information every time. Buggy interface that constantly logged me out. App will neither let me pay for the full time limit (many meters in Minneapolis run a 4 hour time limit while app only lets me pay for two hours) nor let me extend any paid parking -- a complete waste of time to download and use.
I wish this worked. Several steps just to get the time put in, which makes no sense... this app handles TWO numbers in every day use case: just put two number fields on the screen! As it is, after saying I want to enter time, and after saying I want hours and minutes (versus milliseconds? leptons? thanks for asking), it's tough to actually put time in. The hours and minutes only scroll to the first or last values, so i can't put in 1 hour, for example, only 0 or max. Also, it freezes up.
I am updating my review after several years, I used to love this app! Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to use it anymore. When I type in the parking space number it is unable to find me, it seems to be looking for the zone number which isn't posted anymore on the sign by the parking spot so I end up having to pay at the pay station every time.
The app was fi e before the update. Now it's super slow to load and takes forever to get in and pay for a spot. Wont let you overlap your parking time with the same car and is just wierd interface. Just bring back the old version. And yeah super annoying it just deleted all my info and made me create a new account, couldn't use the old version at all, forced me to download the new shurtuer version. got double charged and it's now much harder to contact support for issues like this
No way to cancel reservations. It doesn't inform you if you need to print a ticket until after reservation is placed. And today the barcode wouldn't even scan at my reservation time. That's multiple times now where I'm double paying for parking because of the inability to cancel. Customer service response through the app took almost 10 days. I've gotten a response to 1 of my multiple emails. Hopefully I'll get my refunds and find a better parking app.
When trying to set duration, it gets stuck loading and loading. Will not update cost when you change the duration from 15min to 30 min or to whatever time you need. It just keeps trying to update the cost but cannot and will not let you proceed to the final confirmation step. Using on a Pixel XL with a strong LTE signal on T-Mobile. Im surprised it has so many positive reviews.
If I could give O would. Went through a parking transaction, added a new vehicle & when the txn went through, the wrong vehicle set to park. I called support immediately& explained the situation, asking to update the txn. Not only was I informed that the txn could not but updated, but also there was no way to cancel or refund. My only option was to double pay. I asked to speak to the person who gave this info & was denied. No system exists where a txn cannot be altered. Dishonest & disappointing
This app worked for a couple years until recently. Now I can't change the parking duration. The "cancel" and "set duration" buttons cover up the "hours" and "minutes" for changing it. I can now only park for the minimum time (default) or maximum time--nothing in between. Please fix this!!! UPDATE - 5 months later and no contact from developer and still no fix for this bug. I see I'm not the only one that has this issue. UPDATE AGAIN - another month and still not working!!! FIX IT ALREADY!!!!!!!
It was working fine before. THIS NEW UPDATE IS BUGGY! Have to re-sign in every time. Getting back to the app causes it to freeze, and you have to restart the app every time. It doesn't save your card to use again. You have to retype it every time. This new update is horrible. It deleted my account, payments, and saved vehicles. Give me back the previous version, less problems with it. It was working fairly well.
Update: I got even worse, it now changes the parking spot number to a location different than what I entered. If you don't notice this at the confirm screen you'll be paying to park in the wrong spot. If I could give it a 0 I would. Why do I always have to login in when I open it? Why does it continually crash? Uninstall and reinstall. didn't help. The previous app was so much better. Horrible.
Love being able to pay for, view and extend my parking sessions. The only reason I can't rate this 5 stars, and it's significant, is the notification system doesn't work. I have it configured to notify me, and send me a text message when parking is about to end. Notifications don't work at all (Android). And text messages arrive 5 to 10 minutes after parking has expired. No bueno.
I could not be more disappointed in this app. It's extremely buggy and unreliable. The user interface is more confusing than the previous Minneapolis parking app. I've had issues logging in, staying logged in, adding payment, and trying to park in general. The system frequently errs out when you try to start parking. Recently, I had to go over to a kiosk to pay after trying five times in the app. The app wouldn't start the parking session but charged my credit card five times.
Installed it thinking I could use it to pay for parking today....boy was I wrong! Took forever to respond to any tap, and when it finally made it to the point where I could enter the meter number and duration, it completely stalled......forcing me to dig for change, run across the street to the bank, wait in line for 10 min to request $1 in quarters to then finally be able to pay the meter. Too bad, as the app has a great concept
Please fix this app. I have to re-enter my credit card info every time I park, even though I've selected for the app to save it. There's no option to use a saved payment when you start parking. And lately, the app hasn't been letting you start a parking session even after you've entered your card info, so I have to go to a kiosk. Right now, this is a useless app.
MPLS Parking user data was hacked recently. Also, I experienced a vague, unhelpful user login error that occurred despite restarting the app and my phone and reinstalling the application multiple times. There is no way to reach support within the app, and support on the app's website will not help you and instead tell you to call the contracted app developers. It appears that many accounts were deleted recently, but you need to reinstall in order to recreate your account, which is not obvious.
It took 5 minutes for this app to load, and when it did it had a pop-up to submit this review. I was going to give it 2 stars, but as I was typing out my review, it reloaded and closed the pop-up for my review. Now it gets 1 star. The GPS location never works, or at least takes so long to actually load that I've already zoomed in on the map to where the parking meter is. Searching the meter number never works either.
Despite the error message, it consistently displays "Payment could not be processed. Try again later.", it does process the payment without confirming in the app or via email. In fact, it processed the payment EVERY TIME, per instruction, I tried again. I have currently 13 charges (over a few days) for parking sessions that were never confirmed. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. Btw, the link to "help" is broken. No help exists to get your money back.
Keep getting a "payment has not been processed. Please try again later" error message without the app ever letting me get to the screen where I choose time/confirm that I want to park. Has been working very intermittently. Troubleshot all other factors (confirmed address, card, ensured previous parking charges weren't pending) and the poor customer service team was stumped. Was basically left with the option "hope I don't get a ticket til I can get down to the kiosk!"
