Been using MTA TrainTime for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you plan your commute on the Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North. Pretty solid if you ride the train a lot.
Here’s what you can do – you can buy tickets right in the app, either with Google Pay or a regular credit/debit card. They’ve got an option to split the payment between two cards, which is super handy. There’s also trip planning with real-time train tracking, so you can see exactly where your train is and how crowded the cars are. And you can save your frequent routes for easy access later.
Look, if you ride the LIRR or Metro-North a lot, you’ll probably find this app really useful. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a one-stop shop for all your train commuting needs.
