Been using Music Recognition for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you identify songs playing around you. Pretty solid if you’re into discovering new music.
Here’s what you do: you just open the app, tap the button, and it listens for a few seconds. Then it tells you the song, artist, album, and even gives you a preview to listen to. And there’s also an option to search the web for more info on the track, which is pretty cool. And you can share your discoveries with friends – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful.
Look, if you’re the kind of person who’s always Shazaming songs, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the song previews are pretty short – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
