Using Galaxy Note 10: Freezes while looking at or playing music. Must restart to get back to shopping. Cannot browse sheet music for purchase without searching * or a single letter and filter according to what you're looking for. Will not tell you if a purchased piece is one time print or unlimited printing before purchasing. Advertises music pieces that are NOT for sale (dumb tease). It's good at saving purchases I made 5 years ago and forgot about until now.
Reviews for Musicnotes Sheet Music Player
I bought sheet music through this app specifically for playback feature and it glitches and lags constantly. Wish I could blame internet but that's not the problem. Sheet music is priced very expensive...$7.99 for one song when I can buy a whole book of songs for $13-$18. Again, if the playback worked well, I would not mind the extra cost.
Love the app for being able to keep all of my sheet music without having to lug around 10 lbs of music. But I've been using it for less than 2 weeks and it has frozen on me 3 times. What is worse is that I can't close the app or restart my tablet. It freezes everything so I can't do anything but wait for it to finish crashing. Pretty embarrassing mid-rehearsal to not have access to my sheet music. I will probably have to switch back to a heavy binder full of paper.
Been using this app for 7 years for sheet music and the transpose feature and being able to take out the voice parts in the songs. That being said the app still has its flaws but once you get used to th UI it works well. You can use it for almost free too which is nice. It would be better if you had a little bit more control of tempo changes.
A fine app I've used for years until I bought a piece of music on accident (it was the wrong arrangement and you're only allowed to see the first page so i didn't know). I immediately asked for a refund so that I could purchase the correct piece and they wouldn't credit my original payment method. No help from Google pay either. There's so many other companies with better customer service. Sheet music direct being one.
Update: It's finally working again! It's nice to be able to look up sheet music while on the go. Haven't really used it much yet but it is working again Used to be nice to have my music available when traveling, now it no longer works on my Galaxy Note 9 and it is ridiculously slow on my Samsung tablet when turning pages. I've just gone back to using the printed music, looking for a new app to display sheet music.
Signed up for pro premium and missed the little "1" next to the part that says I get 12 titles of my choice. Turns out the titles I wanted didn't qualify. I then tried to downgrade to pro plus, even sending an email with my request. So far it's been a week almost and radio silence. Be careful with these guys. Sub par customer service for sure. Also the android version is a bit wonky when trying to zoom to a specific bar, and tries to re-center itself which is awkward if you are using a phone.
I love the music options, but do not appreciate paying for monthly and yearly subscriptions, and then getting charged at least $5 on top of the subscription rates to buy everything I need, and then get charged AGAIN of I want to print my sheet music! This is unacceptable, and I am failing to see any value in paying for subscriptions. You supposedly receive 15 or 20% discounts, but it seems overpriced even with them. The purchasing credits to print or save your paid-for music is absolute rape.
Great app but why do I have to use Chrome on my phone to shop and add music to my cart instead of the app. The app only holds and shows what I've purchased. I should be able to purchase through the app as well. Also, it would be nice to have a Wish List tab so when I find certain music and can't get them at the moment, it'll be in my wish list for me to get later. I hate having to re-search for music or having to store in in the cart. Great site overall tho!
Update: after clearing the app data I reopened the app and it started up fine! While using the play mode while viewing the music, I noticed there is not a rewind button so you can go back and replay. If you want to rehear a bar in the middle of the page, you have to listen the the first half of the page before you get to the part you want. This is the only con I have found. Overall, great app!
