Reviews for My Best Colors

Scam to get you to buy products. Update: I would give a lower score if I could due to the developers response to mine and other bad reviews. People have a right to state what they find in the app(hence having a review section in the first place) to help others decide if they should waste their time downloading or not. When I downloaded it and went to the help find my colors area, I was sent out of app to a store to buy things. I saw this and stated it in a review. Grow up.

I had trouble with this app. I wanted to love it, but based on the pictures it kept telling me I was one season that I was confident was not correct based on my research. When I scanned clothes, it told me many things were charcoal that were olive or other shades even in clear light. Perhaps it is only as good as the camera on your phone and mine is not great, bit I didn't find this app helpful.

I saw this on tiktok, and was excited to try it. I did the website photo analysis and got classic autumn. When I went to the app classic autumn wasn't a choice, and I wasn't going to create a pallet. The app is good in theory, but they might not have your options.

This app definitely picks up distance and light correctly I might add. This is why some are getting different results than they expect.Too far away or light behind camera will throw your season off. It got my correct season after I corrected my mistake with pic. I haven't tried the paid version yet.It seems to have several features I might want. Not just swatches as some have said. New features perhaps?

Nothing works on this app. I can't select my colour palette. All I get to see, no matter what I click on, is the colour pallette for warm autumn...which I am not. Also, I'm not seeing any place to upload a photo. Must be with the paid version, which is $14.95. Given that the free version won't work at all, I am not willing to dish out anything for an upgrade. Edit: I live in Canada and I assure you that the upgrade is $14.95. Edit#2: I have upgraded my review due to great service.

I have been using the app for years. After the last update, I try to log in and it tells me the user may have been deleted.

I used the free version and I let it take a photo of me instead of using my own photos and the result was so easy to see. I've tried so many apps and sites that didn't work. This app puts your photos side by side by tone, so you can easily see your best and sister seasons together. Save lots of money and time and use this app.

Needs a usability expert to improve the user interface. It implies it's good to find a colour palette suitable to you, but even the Help doesn't describe how it knows what I look like (it's probably there somewhere, but I couldn't find it). A proper interface starts with the person, then the season, then colours - this seems to be backwards.

some of the colors they showed for me are the ones I have been using a lot, I didn't thought I had such good good sense of style.

Very non-user friendly. Somehow it took a bunch of random pictures that I cannot get rid of. Also, the color palette the app chose was way off every time. Why am I paying $14 for this almost unusable app? I am not going to waste my time reading lengthy instructions that still do not fix this app's issues! I skimmed them and found them to be of little use. This app should should be self-explainatory considering its hefty price. Fix-your-price to match your app or fix your app!

The app that detects facial palette has been changed. The original one was able to at least get close. With the update, however, it cannot detect my eye color but gives me skin color results instead (my eyes are blue-green). Something went wrong here with an otherwise fun and decent little app. Please change it back!

this is a good app, it helped me a lot! it asks u what color skin u have so it can help u better, the have ian, tvd girls know lol!

I enjoyed using this app for a long time until I was using a picture to see what color was close to my matches and it glitches and gets stuck on one color and won't continue to analyze anymore colors and when I go to exit the feature It's stuck. I would have to close the entire app and start all over.

Great app. Pros: Simpler than many other color apps and less overwhelming. Cons: Responsiveness of the app. Unclear/confusing documentation. - Offline-first approach: Many features would benefit from being able to work with no internet connection, like loading palettes or capsules. The app is impossible to use in elevators or NYC subway tunnels. - Don't make "Back" close the app. It's confusing to users that the app closes. - Capsule harmony is nice, but would be better with stick figures.

This app is the best of its kind but because of the separation of colors into sub categories, it can be annoying trying to verify if a color is in your palette or not.

I question the color selection of various seasonal palettes. As a certified PCA I would agree with about 50-60% of them, but not the rest. The features are definitely cool and unique. I keep getting an "unsupported camera" error code when trying to scan a color. Changed settings in the app giving permission to access my camera - didn't help. Looks like more work and bug fixes need to be done here. FYI - I paid for the app.

Love this app, but for 10.99 could be better and have more features. For example, when creating the personalized color toolkit, why not just take one picture and put it over all the different colors? I always get 1 or 2 pictures where my eyes are closed because I can't hold them open that long. I also wish you could try on individual colors, like your selected favorites. And yes for 10.99 you should get way more than just a few more squares of color, I found that very disrespectful.

I paid for this and the only difference between paying $10.99 and nothing is a few squares of colors that I could have found online after determining my season. Seems disingenuous to charge people for a premium product & only deliver a few squares that can look varied depending on the source your using to view them from. I definitely would not recommend paying $10.99 for the upgrade. That is utterly insulting.

I found myself needing help figuring whether colors were in my palette based on what they looked like on real clothes. I bought the premium to get deep autumn and compare the color swatches to images I could take of actual clothing, and so far I like the app! I do wish the color picker would tell you explicitly whether the color you've picked has warm, cool, or neutral undertones. That would eliminate my doubts about whether or not a color was right for me.

Love the idea of having a customizable palette. BUT... it won't allow me to log into FB, so the custom palette I just spent so much time on can't be imported. (And it will be deleted in 7 days.) Nor, apparently, can I create a custom palette directly in the app. Pretty frustrated with the usability problems.
