The app has one giant flaw. It's all cloud based. No internet connection or slow one andnit won't load any data. Loading usually takes very long. If it was locally stored it would have been excellent and it would work better and faster.
Great app and would probably the best for maintenance (which is what I use it for) if you could set a reminder from within the service section. Seems rediculous to enter in all the service information then have to go to a separate reminder section and enter in the information again to set maintenance reminder.
Very good car tracking app, it's a shame about the premium pay structure though. I would much rather pay a one-off fee and avoid cloud services for a perpetual licence. I don't like subscription models for simple apps. A choice of one platform perpetual licence would make it 5 stars
Great overall, but it's either missing something huge, or I am. It appears that you've done all the hard work to have a really great app but the mileage data is a little confusing. I see options to add miles when purchased, when sold(why would I add a car I'm selling to the app for maintenance alerts?). I didn't see anything about the current miles. I was hoping for real time mileage tracking using my GPS. no location services permission needed in app. Needs tracking from initial mileage input
I was fine with the app until I changed phones. The app recognized my email address, but when I tried to import my data I couldn't find all the information I had previously saved. I did a backup every other fill up, which is every Tuesday. I even tried purchasing the premium app, thinking maybe it would have my previous information. Nope...
Its Really wonderful App with cross platform access, which I was looking for long time. Beautiful graphs and statistics. Its nice to see in windows desktop. *Its missing* 1. Multiple Currency Entry for expenses 2. Not able to edit custom created and default expenses & Services. 3. Not good icons for all expenses 4. Only Google account can sync 5. Pricey subscription
Want to give it more stars, but they put most of the abilities of the app behind the subscription wall. Lame. I really liked the layout and interface. But if you want to actually track your vehicle and maintenance reminders, etc. find a different app that isn't going to charge a fee.
I switched to My Car after using another app (aCar) for more than 10 years. My Car is such a breath of fresh air: modern UI, flexible data entry formats, and most of all: cloud syncing that works seamlessly for multiple users & devices (which is what many other car apps struggle to do). I don't mind payjng the subscription to enjoy this level of software quality. Very happy with My Car so far!
The PERFECT Auto App! Let's you put in ANY information about your car that you feel is relevant. There is a category for everything from refueling, to maintainance, to repairs. This app allows you to put in every little detail, or just a broad stroak of what happened. If you drive anything with an engine (gas or diesel) you NEED this app, it's that good, and all the features are free. No premium version to buy, and NO ADS!!!
Ok, this isn't a review but giving notice to the developers of some key features missing. 1) Can't add old maintenance stuff if it's before the current mileage/date. 2) Need to be able to group additional maintenance for the same thing under that maintenance item. Example: oil changes should not be a separate entry for each oil change. It should all be under Oil changes and show all the info. for each oil change in one place. 3) We should be able to choose months/years for each maintenance item.
