Same as everyone else: this company appears by and large a fraud method to skim the funds deposited. Received a card as part of a settlement fund (equifax) and they won't allow me to spend the measly $12.64 on the card, instead it is denied everywhere and they have no customer support.
Reviews for My Card Wallet
← Back to My Card WalletEquifax settlement used this as a payout and it's utter trash. I can't even open the app without it crashing. therefore, I can't use the paltry amount of "cash" I get for having my data sold on the dark web, identity theft and credit fraud. nice! awesome work.
I got a refund debit card, and I had to install this app to upload the card into my wallet. This has to be the dumbest thing ever. You have to install an app to install it on the app that came with your phone. Do yourself a favor and uninstall this app after you transfer your funds before you have to do damaged control.
I received a Mastercard gift card reward over a month ago, but it has never worked. The required My Card Wallet app always errors, and when I try the card info directly, merchants reject it as expired. Support does not respond to calls, emails, or messages. The card expires in January, and at this rate I’ll lose the reward. This is very discouraging, and I will raise it with my employer so they reconsider using this company.
Disappointing app. I downloaded it, and it frequently gives an error code 50 and cannot load anything. Only once in a while am I able to reach my gift card saved in the app. Trying to send the gift card to Google Wallet is terrible. I verified if the card is able to be used as contactless payment via google wallet's list, but I continuously get an error being unable to use it. This is a terrible, why not just ensure your gift cards can be easily added to Google Wallet...
Useless. It won't open past the first page telling me to load a card. Went back to the website opened on my laptop, loaded the card, connected it to my profile (can't remember the order at this point, as I've gone back and forth so many times), but the app still won't open past that first page. The hassle is hardly worth the money that was gifted to me on the card.
Told me to visit the site where I got my prepaid card and then indicate that I wanted things added to my wallet. The only thing following the instructions did is repeatedly send me a link to download the app and repeat the process. I took an image of my virtual card and bought myself an Amazon gift card -- way easier. Don't waste your time with this app
It can be made to work, just don't expect it to help you figure out how. My first few attempts to add my card to a wallet failed, and the error message gave no hint as to why. I felt immediate regret for not having heeded the horrendous reviews I had read only moments before. Despite being almost certain that I was screwed, I entertained the possibility that maybe the app needed my location for verification purposes. I enabled Locationv and tried one more time. *VIOLA!* It worked!
The app is as useless as is their website. I'm told to go back to the website and "add to wallet." That results in a card with the #s mostly obscured. There's no way to add it to a digital wallet. Better save the card image. There's no way to print it, and they want $ to issue you a plastic card. The card expires in under 6 months
Might be a good app, but I wouldn't know, since I literally can't get past the first screen. It just tells you to activate the card online, click add to wallet, and then supposedly that should make the card accessible within the app right? Nope. Nothing happens. I'm literally only here because the survey site I use switched to using this gift card service, and I really wish they hadn't
So you got a payout from a class action lawsuit the other dayyy... You go through the hoops to see you have $19 and some cents on your new card. Enough to want, but not enough to be very useful. So you request a plastic card. Not wanting to pay $3 - $23 in fees, you decide against plastic. So you get this app to use it via google pay. If you're lucky enough to have it get further than it's info screen, it then tells you the card isn't able to be used this way. Abysmal.
Useless app that they force you to download so they can get paid by the Google store. I absolutely hate companies that do this. You could have sent my prepaid card via a web service. There is no need for an application download. I immediately un-installed because who requires 2 wallet app? Wish I could give 0 stars. I wrote this review in September, and they are reaching out to me in APRIL OF THE NEXT YEAR to sort this out. Absolutely not.
My experience with this app has been pretty horrible. In order to "use" the card in a store you've got to have apple pay...otherwise you're struck like me. After setting up an account, adding the cars to the account, adding a pin to the card and 2 phone calls to customer support, it STILL WON'T. The app is useless pointless AND stupid...not to mention that I'm out 125 bucks. Thanks for nothing.
Absolutely USELESS! I have been trying for over a week now to add my virtual egift to this worthless app but all I get for my trouble is "unable to activate your card at this time, try again later." The thing is, the card is already activated and has been used...Maybe if there was a "view activity" button as an alternative to the "Activate" button, it wouldn't keep dead ending me. When I went to the website it said click the link in the email then "add to wallet"...also a NO GO!
I got a gift card that requires you to use this app. It says it can be used with Samsung or Google Wallet, but that is a lie. Even when I installed their required app, it does not have an option to add the card. After speaking with several sevice reps, we were able to get my card loaded. When I went to use it, I found out there is a pin somehow, which I do not know. So after several days and multiple phone calls my gift card is still useless. This company is a scam.
As others have said, this system is designed so that you can't spend the full amount on the card. The best method I've come up with is to use the card number to order food from somewhere like GrubHub, then use adjust the tip amount to fully match the balance on the card. Also, I have a Google Pixel, and this app literally just has a landing page that tells you to go the the website to activate your card and add it to your wallet...the app has no actual functionality.
I got three gift cards from my health insurance. When I add the cards to the online site seemed to eat them and they disappeared, I was also locked out of my account as the sign in page would say my ID or password was incorrect. BUT I called support and they said they were having issues at the time. I was able to sign in to the APP and add the cards to my wallet within an hour of the call. The online site still doesn't show My cards when signed in. My point is please keep trying to add yur card
Very weird app. As many have stated, it just opens to a landing page. However, settting it up is painless. Yes, the instructions leave a lot to be desired, but it wasn't hard to figure out. You'll have better success if you have a laptop or desktop handy. Go to the site on the other device and click "add to wallet". You'll get a QR code to scan. If you have the app installed already, it'll open a link to add to your device's wallet (in my case Samsung Wallet). You're set from there!
The only major issue I have is not being able to use payment methods at certain retailers. I think more retailers should be on the preferred retailers list, at least a big box store. I live in a small town, where Walmart is the only option close enough for buying most goods. Besides that, the app seems to work fine.
There's seems to be a limit of 5 that can be added within a certain time period. Once that limit is reached, the user gets an error saying that the log in is invalid (instead of a useful message). The problem is that there's also no way to remove cards with a zero balance. I reached out to the customer support address and got no response. The next month the app allowed me to add more cards, but I still have no way of removing the 0 balance ones.
