I’ve been using My Lightning Tracker & Alerts for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you see lightning strikes happening all around the world in close to real-time. Pretty cool if you’re into weather stuff.

Here’s what you can do: you can watch thunderstorms as they occur, see a history of where lightning strikes most often, and even get notifications when there’s a storm nearby so you can monitor it. There’s also a map view that shows you where the lightning is happening, which is useful. And you can even share strike info with your friends, which is a neat little social feature.

Look, if you’re into weather or just love seeing lightning, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a little annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does a solid job and is worth checking out.

So here's my honest take on My Lightning Tracker & Alerts. I've tested a bunch of weather apps and this one's pretty good. The real-time lightning tracking is the main draw, and it works really well. And the map view and notification features are super useful too. Only downside is the ads can get old after a while, but that's to be expected in a free app. Overall though, if you're into this kind of thing, I'd recommend giving it a try.
