Can easily enter individual stocks as well as multiple purchases of the same stock on different days to see daily and total changes. Would rate 5 stars if Bollinger Bands were added. Settings can be backed up to the cloud, so you can easily transfer your data to a new phone. However, graphing your performance is not accurate if you sold stock to buy new stock during the time period being displayed.
Reviews for My Stocks Portfolio & Market
← Back to My Stocks Portfolio & MarketThis app is great. It is very intuitive and provides lots of great numbers. Like others said, I can easily ignore the banner ad at the bottom. A few features that would be really helpful are moving averages, the ability to record options trades or even see an options chain, dividend history of a stock, and automatic dividend tracking. It can be a chore to manually enter dividends, and I am currently just labeling my options money as "interest".
This widget is on my main screen, and I check my portfolio everyday. Not only you can add tickers, you can add transactions (shares and prices when you bought them) and track your current gains and losses in real-time. The app shows an ad on the bottom which is fine. If the premium version was a 1-time purchase I would do it in a heartbeat, but it's a subscription model.
Best portfolio tracker. Simple yet powerful interface. Can easily view your data, click to view detailed info. Well done. I love that I can break the stock down into the individual purchases, and it still gives me a total cost and my average cost. The ads are not intrusive. I wish it gave you the option to show the time for quotes, so you know if it updated. But that's a very minor thing. I do wish it was easier to import your portfolio. It doesn't tell you how to format the file.
This app makes it super easy to view what the market is doing at a glance. I especially like that I can add and save symbols to my watchlist, and they are retained the next time I pull it up. This has replaced my old app for that reason. The only improvement I would like to see would be to have gains and losses color-coded. It would be nice if positions that were down on the day would have the losses highlighted in red, and the gainers highlighted in green. Overall this is my go-to app.
I'm new to paying attention to the world of stocks and was looking for a widget to show me quick view of stock prices. This app provides that and a some other useful pieces. Setting alerts when prices reach a certain threshold (up or down), great history graphs that are easy to use once you know how (could easily be a disaster on mobile experience but I'm impressed), and market news. Everything I need. Haven't had a need to look into the portfolio tools but imagine they're good too.
Setup multiple accounts real or what if's, instant oversight of the market and your account holdings, can be backed up a couple ways, can be sync'd to multiple devices. THIS APP WILL DO A LOT MORE than what I am stating. Read the "HELP" and look at the "SETTINGS" to make it your way. I've been using this app quite a few years. A few weeks ago my phone died and restoring this app as I set it up was a breeze. I use the DropBox option. Encrypted both directions! Under "Permissions" - NONE REQUIRED!
Best Stock Portfolio App out there. Great, clean look with real-time data (including pre- and post-market prices), graphs, charts, ability to watch indexes, set up different portfolios, etc. One question I have for the developer: How can I show a margin balance? As I usually always carry a margin balance overnight, my total portfolio balance won't be correct without the margin amount. I had been using a money market asset and either buying or selling short to show the changes, but sometimes the historical data (when looking at overall portfolio balance over time) doesn't line up and I can't figure out why. Is there a better way to show a margin balance? You can't use a cash account as the app won't let you go negative.
I love this app for following all my stocks and tracking my buys and sells. You can set 5 stock alerts at a time, but you can change and reset them as often as you like. If you want more alerts available, it isn't expensive, and the developer needs to make some money for their efforts, so it is perfectly acceptable and reasonable for them to charge what they do. The stock process are extremely up-to-date and refresh very quickly. The widget is my favorite part, since it sits right on my home.
Love it! Was looking for something to give me a fast look at a group of stocks, and this more than met what I was looking for! One tap and there it is, and one tap on each fund gives me all the details and a chart, exactly what I wanted, great for a FAST check anytime, anywhere. I haven't even gotten to looking at the other features, but I will in the future. I'm happy enough I'll buy the full version, in appreciation.
Works great and free. Best of all I can remain anonymous and not give my information over to anyone else. There are premium options that I don't need. I was able to make multiple portfolios and follow multiple symbols as well as transactions. I was able to have multiple transaction tracking under the same symbols which some of these apps don't allow. It has ads at the very bottom that don't interfere. So far it's accurate and works for me as well as the widget being very convenient.
I really like the app. I can get high level info quickly and I can drill down to detail if I like. I wish it had an auto dividend reinvestment feature. One complaint, when I add or edit transactions, the keyboard that appears when I type number of shares doesn't have a decimal place, so to add 5.2 shares I have to enter "5" then change to the symbol keyboard to enter "." then change to the number keyboard to enter "2".
I use this as a simple portfolio tracker for multiple accounts, and I like the way it presents the data making it easy to see immediately how things are going, but then easy to drill down and see individual investments and history. I would pay for the app, but the only option is way more than I really want or need. But as a free app, it's very good and the ads are unobtrusive.
I've been using the app for about 3 weeks now. It gets easier to use almost everyday, as I learn more about it. The ads at the bottom close easily and DO NOT immediately get replaced by another one. I've recommended it to several friends and they're also happy with it. For being a free app it's very efficient and easy-to-use. And after reading other reviews Customer Support seems willing and wanting to help resolve any problems you may have.
I auditioned a number of stock monitoring apps and this is by far the closest to ideal. A perfect addition to my broker's app. That being said the subscription rate is crazy high. I would pay a one time fee of $5 or possibly even $5 a year ... but not $5 a month. Given the number of very targeted ads I imagine they're making a good amount on the free version.
I have been using this app for a few years, and I love it. It's easy to set up the alerts, and it gets my attention through all my other notifications I have going off. I just wish it would push out my notes with the price alert. It will say something like "your price is above your target" but when I am running 5 day trades at a time I tend to forget if this is a take all profit notification or take part profit so I put it in the notes. Thing is, you have to go back in the app to see the notes.
I don't write app reviews often, but I had to for this one. I use this to track stocks I own and EFTs of interest. I also use it for crypto (owned, mined, and coins of interest), and make use of the alerting feature. The interface is streamlined and intuitive. The developer responds to bug reports and fixes them (really!). I quite honestly couldn't ask for anything more. It's rare to find good apps with solid support these days.
Best app I have found for quickly checking stocks. Great charts were an unexpected bonus! News links is nice to quickly find out why a stock might be moving, but contains all the usual garbage articles as well. I have started adding my positions in the app as well. The quick views are far more useful than my brokerage, where I have to click around trying to find a report that will show what I am looking for. I open the app alongside my brokerage account before staking a position.
Love the widget for tracking my portfolio. My only suggestion would be to make the text a little larger or have some type of dividing lines between the ticker symbols and info. The text in the very top blue bar is almost unreadable. Edit: I just noticed a setting that allows you to increase the text size for the widget - so everything is perfect!
Don't often write reviews but this app is top notch if you prefer to manually enter your portfolio. The only thing that is missing, in my opinion, is a web app or something similar to be able to view your portfolio OUTSIDE the app in a browser. Definitely not a big deal since 99% of people have their phone on them at all times anyway. The app is very well thought out and has features that most of the paid options I trialed didn't have. Give it a shot. It's good.
