If there was any other way to pay a bill, I wouldn't even have this app. Doesn't work or load 75% of the time, customer service takes forever and they always have the same answer: Uninstall and reinstall the app. Still doesn't work and you end up waiting, sometimes for days or weeks, for the system to work out whatever bug or glitch its going through. Total garbage.

They just deactivate your account without notice. I have tried to reactivate for emergencies because they didn't even warn me of deactivation, and you can't do anything until you find an internet source. They used to notify you when your payment was gonna need to be renewed. They're slacking now, though.
I agree with everyone else that the merge took a simple good thing and over complicated everything, I have had to call a service representative three times now, to activate my device after 1 day of being out of service, and twice to try and register my device and phone number to total wireless account that I have rewards points on but still no luck, can't even understand representatives. After 6 years, I am going to switch service providers on Monday.
The app won't even let me log in. After I verify my phone number it asks me to create an account, which I already have a account, so when I try to enter info, it says "unexpected error" and then takes me back to the log in screen. I can't access my account or do anything. The website is even worse. This is the worse platform I have ever attempted to use. All I'm trying to do is check how much tethering I have left, but I can't even access any part of my account
This app is as awesome as total wireless! At least once a month my data slows to an unusable point for 1 to 2 days. Almost every time I make a payment, my data, text or calling gets jacked up. If you need customer service.... Good luck. I spent 4 hours on the phone trying to fix my internet. Multiple customer service reps suggested I master reset, I finally gave in and did it, ....... Didn't help, just lost tons of data for no reason. If you have this app.... You messed up.
Worst ever. Picked up Total Wireless to have an extra phone line. it worked well for a couple of hours. after that unable to make or receive calls or text. called support three times. they kept telling me they were transferring me to a higher department but i was never connected to anyone who could fix the problem. Marco replied and asked me to text service, LOL. if i could send messages, but i can not.
-10/10. This app doesn't do anything useful. I'm still in the process of setting up a new phone with Total (economically it's what works best unfortunately) and for some reason the codes they keep sending aren't coming through. I've tried with all my family's numbers who are on the account and no luck. Since the app nor the website was useful I called the customer service number and still nothing worked. Didn't have issues before the merdge 😡
This is a constant. I feel like my phone is not properly connected to the network. Always some type of error, most recently, claiming my reward points. For a multi million dollar company something ain't making sense. Can't really complain its simple phone activating process as your phone is up and running almost instantly. Pretty much it. Prepaid plan on your terms.
The app worked great for the first eighteen months i used it. I didn't have any trouble with it. But here recently I've been experiencing trouble with it. For example the rewards points program thst is a feature of the app,. For the month of march i had tallied up over a thousand points. But when i refilled my service for the month of April.. my points had been reduced to having only five hundred. And I had not redeemed any of my rewards points.
Had this service for years and any time I've had an issue, it's been resolved quickly. But over the last 3 months, my service has been spotty at best and most days unless I'm outside, I don't get service. I've had the same plan for years, they recently added hotspot. It worked the first month and has not worked since. Every time I go to the app to add minutes or shop for a new phone, I keep getting "error occurred, please call with the phone number, and that's if the app even opens. NOT HAPPY!!
Been a loyal customer for a year now but their rewards system is very flawed. Added a line a few months ago and was told that it qualified for the 7,000 add a line reward points and I would receive them in 60 days after the cooldown period. 60 days went by so I contacted TW and after 2 hours on the phone they told me it was never registered by THEIR system and I would need to wait another 60 days for it. I checked and it doesn't look like I will be getting them at all. Very disappointing.
I've been a customer for many years and the app has been great. In the last few months I'm no longer able to use the app or login on the website. I've seen many other reviews with the same issues. As soon as I login it tells me I need to upgrade my plan of course they are all more expensive now. I can't even renew my monthly minutes or see when they expire. I also get a message that says "something went wrong". The easiest thing I can do is drop my Total Wireless service.
BOTH the app and the widget never show the amount of data left, even after buying more data UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! The whole point of the widget is to let the user know how much data that they have left or how much they have used. Would you buy a car without a fuel gauge or an EV without a battery charge gauge? Maybe in an emergency, but realistically, NO!!! Aside from the hideous new app, I think I might be dropping TbV. Why? Faster throughputs on T-Mobile and Consumer Cellular.
I've been a customer for years. The app tells me I need to buy an unlimited plan to access my account. The website shows me my account for a second, literally a second, then says "something went wrong." Calling customer service is no help, I've done all the things. Un-installed and re-installed. Same message, Upgrade. Clear the data, Same message, Upgrade. Tried going through an email that says to update the app, anti-virus software tells me the site is malicious. Beyond Frustrating!!
Doesn't work at all 🤬🤬🤬! The new app first required me to get a new plan (of course at the higher price). I've been a total wireless customer probably 10 years!!! Then I thought maybe I just need to uninstall the app and reinstall it. Same problem. Now I'm getting text messages telling me to go to the app. As of today when I do that also I get is the circle of death. The app's not running at all. We actually have lives to live, not spending our time fixing your incorrectly coded apps.
I'm annoyed with Totally Wireless Services. They never alert you to let you know you're running low on data usage. It suddenly isn't there—and usually at an inconvenient time. It's becomes a hassle to have to go to the website or into the app(somehow) to buy another reload because the low service plan doesn't provide enough data to make it thru the month. Sigh... I would just appreciate an alert to let me know.
I've been a Total Wireless customer for 8 years and have a legacy plan. Within the last month, I'm no longer able to access the My Total Wireless app as it's stating I need to get one of their "new" and more costly Unlimited plans in order to get access to the app. I now need to do everything through their website. This is really awful to do this to long-time customers!!! I have a legacy rate of $93 including taxes, why would I EVER change to a plan that has less data and costs me $60-100 more!
App is ok, but Total has the worst support I have ever dealt with! I've been hung up multiple times and spent over 10 hrs with support on one issue, which could have been easily taken care of in 30 min if the support was competent. Finally, after many calls, I got an agent who knew what he was doing and fixed my problem in 15 min! I've had to get to support several times since then, and experience was the same, put on hold, and then hung up on because they didn't know how to fix my problem!
This is more about the service than the app but nowhere can I get any support about my issue so I want to give people the heads up about the service and non-support. I have a DATA ONLY plan on a 4g device and am getting about 50 Mbps download which is perfectly fine for my needs. However when I use the hotspot, which is why I have a data only plan in the first place, I get .4 Mbps. POINT FOUR. That is useless. No people to chat with. Only chat bots that are designed to make you give up.
The app is worthless. Had this service for 8+ years (when it was Total Wireless), and the app no longer works. It tells me I need an unlimited active service. I have always had the service. A year ago, I contacted customer support and they told me they were "upgrading" their service and it would work again shortly. Guess what, app still doesn't work. update: Tried again. The support team told me I'd have to buy a new updated plan for $20 more a month to maybe be able to use the app.
