Annoying Nightmare ! I regret paying for this outright for a year. 1 out of 10 times will work to start the car. On the 1 time it does it takes 3 fails of the engine to start before it works. Car is locked and it says it's not. Being connected to wi fi or not makes 0 difference. The one in 10 times it works after 3 failed attempts it takes an extraordinary length of time for the app to find the car. What a joke. I'd rather buy an aftermarket starter then deal with this failure.

Don't waste your money! After my trial period, I started paying the ridiculously high fee for the service (sorry, but after spending 58k on a car, this service should be included), the app rarely worked. It fails to start my car about 80% of the time. I received a promotional email for a discounted annual rate. Shockingly (sarcasm) the app continued to fail when I tried to pay for the package online. I called customer service and was told they couldn't honor the price since I was calling in.
This app works beautifully when you are standing within 10 feet of a wireless modem on a Clear, Sunny 70 degree day with no humidity. On a 99 degree day with 99% humidity, cannot get it to work to start the car to cool it off. On a 20 degree morning, with frost, doesn't work either. I have had my car 3 months, and the app works less and less reliably each month that goes on. I get error, try again later more times than I have it work. Zero stars, would not recommend.
I'm seriously upset with the app. It worked the first 4 weeks if at all. I have the car now for almost two years and even that I tried multiple times to get it fixed, nobody seems to be interested to really help. The app still shows about 1000 miles, never worked with remote start etc, sometimes I'm lucky, and I can lock and unlock the car, but that's about it. I would have liked to actually use the app during the trial, but was never able too. Really frustrating!
The best I can say is that the app would be really useful if it worked. It hasn't connected to the car in 3 days. When it does connect, everything takes 15 to 30 seconds. It doesn't fetch all the data when it connects to the car, it shows the wrong charging state unless you separately refresh that. If it fails to refresh, it just shows old data. The trip planner almost works great, but doesn't pass the charging stops to the car! So after planning the stops on the app, you need to redo it in car
My Nissan came with a free trial. When the app was working, the features were nice. I did get a random tow alarm when my car was sitting undisturbed. The biggest issue I had was the app would refuse to work for a couple days at a time. Mostly due to logging me out and refusing to log back in. The longest were two one/two week periods. The last one was during my last couple weeks of the trial. The trial just expired and I didn't realize it because I hadn't been able to use it. I didn't renew
App never worked for me. It always gives me an error message saying that the connection expired, I got this car less than a month ago, called customer service, the only thing they said is I'm sorry but we have to escalate this is been 3 weeks and nothing, how hard is to fix an app, my husband has a toyota app and it worked from the biggining no issues at all, I see why everyone is given one star, I will give zero, but there is no option.
The app worked when I first bought the car (2022) but hasn't worked for months now. It's absurd to be charged for this service when it never even works. It's incredibly slow and when it does load almost always fails to do anything beyond lock my car doors. So frustrating to have a vehicle with these capabilities, pay for them on top of a car payment, and then consistently be let down by a terrible app.
This app has been buggy with me from day 1. I set the climate settings and schedule once, and since then, it won't ever accept any changes. I had the car turning on the heat for me at 6am in the middle of summer because of how it was set in the winter. Everytime is try to change, the app would say it couldn't contact the Ariya, and everything would still stay the same. And if I try to turn on the climate ahead of time in any weather, it always says "can't contact Ariya". I could be next to it.
Useless. App hasn't updated my mileage in two weeks, so I tried logging out, and now it won't let me log back in. Keep getting a "something went wrong, try again later" error. And yes, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clear cache. etc. etc. etc. Hot garbage. And to think I was going to sign up for the premium services....not anymore if it's not going to work. It's 2023, shouldn't be that difficult to have a basic working app.
There's no way I'm paying for this app when my trial is up. If it would load more than 50% of the time, it would be nice! The concept is great, but execution is terrible. It's very frustrating when you'd like to warm up or unlock your vehicle, but all you get is a spinning wheel!!! I've had multiple Nissan's and multiple top end Samsung phones, and it's all the same. Never have issues with other manufacturers' apps.
It's possibly the saddest automobile app around. Other than lock/unlock, nothing communicates with the vehicle. Odometer is 5000 miles behind actual. You can't tell if status if car is locked or unlocked. Most basic features are extra, and didn't even work reliably during the trial period (auto start, odometer, tire pressure, etc). Why should one even consider paying for these features - especially when they are standard on other automobile apps? Very disappointing.
App is convenient, but malfunctions occasionally. Slow and doesn't connect sometimes. I have solid Internet at home and my mobile network is up to par as well. Had to uninstall and reinstall the other day to get the app to work properly. Also when I switched from A Samsung to a Pixel I can't use the fingerprint option anymore... Also, for gas/fossil fuel models why can't you adjust the climate control from the app? It'd be nice since paying for the service if you could adjust those things...?
Absolute garbage. App takes up to 30 seconds to load, then any vehicle commands have about a 50/50 change of actually running. Even better is when the app says the operation failed and yet you get a popup saying the operation succeeded. I waste more time trying to use the phone app than if I'd do everything manually. My car is parked outside in a major city - not a signal problem. It would be one thing if this was a free service, but they're charging a premium for this trash.
It works amazingly for someone who often can't remember if they've locked the car! It's nice to start the vehicle from a distance, except it only lasts 10 minutes. If my car is frozen over, 10 minutes doesn't do much, especially when my car only turns on the blower without the actual key starting it. Setting boundaries, locations, and speed notifications is excellent when my teenagers drive.
Update: The app malfunctions. At times, it shows that a door is open. I've gone outside in pouring rain only to find the door wasn't open more than once. I've tried turning the car on remotely only for it to tell me that I couldn't because the car door was unlocked. I still like the app, but I hope the glitches are resolved soon. 1st review: Very easy to use. I love the functionality of being able to remotely turn the engine on and lock/ unlock the doors.
I cannot get the app to work. It won't start my car, update my car info, lock or unlock. Everytime I try to use the controls it says failed. I have uninstalled and re-installed the app twice. I have reset Nissan Connect in my car. Im so frustrated. Ive looked online for trouble shooting and everything. I really need the app to work but it just doesn't. Help. Please.
the app is useless. Cannot lock or unlock my vehicle, it always fails. Remote start has been disabled for like a year because it drains the battery. Sometimes it takes forever to update my car location. and it also sometimes gives a false status, like it alerts that the doors are unlocked a few minutes after I leave my vehicle, when in fact, it is locked. I complained and they offered Sirius music for free for 3 months as compensation LOL. um no, how about you extend my subscription instead.
I used this app periodically but with the latest update the available controls were reduced. I used to be able to remotely lock and unlock my vehicle as well as remote start. I still see the start, but the remote lock/unlock option is no longer available. I tried accessing chat but no agents were available. my next option is to call in the morning. if my issue isn't resolved, I'll have to cancel my subscription. not cool to reduce the options!!!
