Been using myQ Garage & Access Control for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you control your garage door from anywhere. Pretty solid if you’re into that sort of thing.
Here’s what you do – you can open and close your garage, check who’s coming and going, and get alerts if someone’s detected. There’s also a video camera feature which is pretty cool. And the smart keypad lets you know who’s entering the garage, which is useful.
Look, if you’ve got a myQ-enabled garage door, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit tricky and the video storage costs extra – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want more control over your garage access.

So here's my take on myQ Garage & Access Control. I've tested a bunch of smart home apps and this one's pretty good overall. The core features work well - I like being able to check on my garage from anywhere. And the video camera is a nice bonus too. But there are a few annoying things, like the confusing setup and the video storage costs. Compared to some other garage door apps, this one's solid but not the best. Still, if you have a myQ system, it's worth downloading.

I paid for the year subscription. I can't get majority of my videos to pop up. it has way too many things the user needs to do to watch the...
Update breaks older devices. My twelve year old garage door opener was working fine before the update. After the update, the app doesn't see the opener. I deleted the app...
