Been using mysms – Remote Text Messages for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you text and make calls from your computer or tablet using your Android phone’s number. Pretty solid app if you’re into that kind of thing.

Here’s what you do: You can send and receive real SMS and MMS messages right from your computer. There’s also call notifications – so you’ll get a pop-up on your PC when you get a call on your phone. And the app has a full call log history too, so you can see all your recent calls.

Look, if you’re the kind of person who’s always on your computer and wants to be able to text from there, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a bit confusing at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need to stay connected from your desk.
