$$$ Great app, but not paying $12 a year for an app I already paid for. Longtime users should have been grandfathered in as we had a huge impact on expanding the database and growing the app. I'm not opposed to donating to the techs, but during the next 5 yrs I would spend almost $60 to keep using this app. That seems excessive.
Reviews for Nail Polish Rack
← Back to Nail Polish RackI think this app is great. Thanks for making the brand scrolling much easier now! But now I have a slight problem....when you click on a polish to look at the details it goes to notes first now. It use to be the details page first. It's not a big problem but it is not as convenient as before. Edit: Great! Thanks!
After today's update, the app won't open- crashes upon login. I have paid for the premium, please fix. Before this, it was a great app. Uninstalled, reinstalled, nothing works. Edit: all fixed - thank you! Real review - this is much more intuitive to use than Lacquergram, and I especially appreciate that it can be moved to an SD card. That is a big help to those of us who don't have huge amounts of internal space.
A few crashes during image upload, but very helpful for organizing my stash! I like this much better than Snupps. =) 2019: It is frustrating when a polish is edited by another person so that the information is then incorrect. Also the app keeps preventing other audio from playing and will occasionally produce the audio "candy" in a creepy, deep voice while I'm adding polishes to my rack. This is inconsistent and startles me when it does randomly happen. What in the world is up with that?
I paid for the unlimited version of this. I just updated it & got notice it's moving to a subscription & I'll have to start paying for it (again) in March. I liked this app better than Lacquergram, but I will be switching over to that one because it is still free. Perhaps new users should have had to sign up for the subscription and original users grandfathered in. I'm not paying more for an app I already paid for. Lacquergram is based out of Germany and not Russia. Not worried about switching.
Finicky. I now have all my lacquers catalogued but all those places where you're given the option to update information, don't take. Starting to wonder if it was worth the work. I've added colors to the base only they don't show up in my rack. I can't adjust sub-brands because the changes don't stay.
Used the customer service and he was so helpful, I installed on my HP laptop and Samsung cell phone. I am having an issue with installing on my MacBook Air laptop, once I figure it out this will make keeping track of my collection so much nicer. I have added several polishes to the Rack. I am having problems adding the picture of the polish, will keep working on that. Loving this
I purchased the unlimited option, and so far I like it. Easy way to have fast access to my collection to avoid purchasing duplicates. I would like to be able to share my wish/swap list with others, or make it public somehow, or see others wish/swap lists for sales/swaps. It tells you if people own or are looking for a particular polish, which is useless info if you can't reach out to that person, or them reach out to you, for sales/swaps. Besides that, liking it so far.
Not sure why I can't edit my previous review. Developer responded and I was able to unlock my account and get in. Can't rate it five stars anymore though since my lifetime subscription I had already paid for has been revoked and has turned to a monthly subscription model.
I am in love with this app! It is so useful for storing all my polishes. I often use it when I'm out shopping for new polish as I can check if I already have similar colours etc. in my stash. I also like that I can record when I wear each polish. Off the back of that data, would it be possible to have an "untrieds" polish list added to the app? Thanks for the fab app for us nail polish addicts!
I have paid for a subscription and somehow the app now crashes MORE than it did before. I edit one thing: crash. I add a polish to my swap list: crash. I upload a photo: crash. I'm also unable to export my data, which is the reason I subscribed in the first place. Adding to this: I'm asked to leave a review and reminded of the subscription service every time I log in. Both of which I've done. It's annoying. Edit: it's months later and I'm still having these issues.
Really love this app and was well worth the money to upgrade to the full version. I would have given 5 stars, However got a message today saying that in order to keep the full version I paid for, I will need to start paying 99p per month from March. Sadly while it's a great app, paying £12 a year for it is more than I'm willing to pay. I paid to unlock the full version, I shouldn't have to continue paying every month. Devious! The search continues for a good polish collection app!
I've been using this app for years and I think it's well worth the annual fee - I spend $12 on ONE polish multiple times a month so the cost is no biggie imo. I'm not about to start over when I've spent a ton of time adding polishes to the database. I've tried other apps, spreadsheets to catalogue my polish collection and NPR is just easier to use. Also, the app developer is very helpful & extremely responsive to comments, suggestions re: app improvements so that's always a plus in my book!
I love this app. I have a very large nail polish collection, and this has totally saved me from buying dupes. It has most of the polishes and brands already in the app, but if they're not there it's super easy to add them. I've used this for ages, and it's well worth it to me to pay the yearly fee for such a great app. I looked at others when this went to the yearly fee structure, but those apps had very few polishes in their database and I would have spent hours putting my collection in.
Paid user. Loved this app at first - got my whole collection catalogued. Unfortunately the photo uploader has completely broken for me. I've reinstalled the entire thing, but I still can't select product photos to upload. Makes adding new indie polishes a whole lot less fun. Other features seem broken as well, like adding a maker's collection name, and no matter how many times I select "don't show again" for the low data mode message, it still pops up every single time I open the app. Fix pls!!
This app would have gotten 5 stars from me vs. 3 because it really is a great app. I love that I can keep track of what polishes I have and what dates I wore them, etc., including all of the Indie brands of polish that I own. However, I paid $2.99 to have the Elite (unlimited polishes) version of this app and in March it's now switching to $0.99/month. While that's not much in the grand scheme of things, I don't want to pay a monthly fee. I'll be exporting my list and either track things myself or get them into another nail polish app. I with those of us that already paid would be grandfathered in.
It is the best app i have tried to keep track of your nail polish. The best part is that you can add polishes, other apps don't do this. you can view polishes by color, brand, finish. Comes in handy when you have a polish in mind and want to check if you have one. It glitches if you don't close the app and come back to it later, restarting it fixes that.
I bought this app, and at the time it was worth it. But they're switching to a subscription model, and now it's $12 a year for functionality I *already* paid for? That's incredibly deceptive. If server costs are a problem, why not try to figure out a solution to *reduce* server costs? I'm sure most of us wouldn't mind hosting our data locally, instead of having to download an image off the server every time the app renders one.
Why did I only find out about this yesterday? I have installed, gotten the paid version also, and am adding polishes one by one! Gone are the days of trying to keep a list and continually having to redo the list as I got more! I have hundreds of polishes, so this is great! A few changes would help, like when "go back" you don't go to the very top of the previous screen and have to scroll again...and repeat. I'd give a 5th star for that.
Missed my chance to be a beta tester, but what this app needs is a way to search multiple search strings. I want to search for Sinful Colors, white, glitters. Because I don't know the name of it but I want it. Please add this feature! But words cannot fully describe how much I love this app. Three times I've left the store, gotten home and discovered that I have duplicates of the same polish. This is going to eliminate that problem. I also love that I can add polishes and pictures!
