You can rearrange these and get alerts for stuff like severe weather or breaking news. It’s got some good exclusive features too, like live radar and 10-day forecasts from the First Alert Weather team. Took me a while to figure out all the settings but it’s pretty useful once you get it set up.
Look, if you live in the Boston area and want a one-stop shop for local news and weather, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can be a bit annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does a good job and is worth checking out.

So here's my honest take on the NBC10 Boston: News & Weather app. I've tested a bunch of local news and weather apps, and this one's pretty solid overall. The customizable home screen and alerts are great features that make it easy to stay on top of what's happening in your area. The weather forecasts and radar are accurate and detailed too. The only downsides are the ads can get a little intrusive, and the interface takes some getting used to at first. But if you don't mind the ads, it's a really useful app that I'd recommend to anyone in the Boston/New England region.
