So here's my take on NCIC Mobile Video Visitation. I've tested a bunch of apps like this and this one's pretty good overall. The video call quality is decent, not amazing but it gets the job done. The text/photo/video messaging is super useful too. My only real complaint is that the app can be a bit buggy at times, but the dev seems to be updating it regularly. If you need a simple way to stay in touch with an incarcerated loved one, I'd recommend giving NCIC a try.

Been using the NCIC Mobile Video Visitation app for a couple months now. It’s basically a way to text, send photos and videos, and do video calls with family or friends who are in prison. Pretty solid app if you’ve got a loved one locked up and you wanna keep in touch.

Here’s what you can do – you can send text messages, GIFs, and emojis back and forth. There’s also video messaging, which is super useful. And you can actually do video visits too, kinda like a video call. Took me a while to figure out the payment system but it’s not too complicated.

Look, if you’re in this situation, you’ll probably find NCIC really helpful. It’s not perfect – the video quality can be a bit iffy sometimes and the app can be glitchy – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need to stay connected.

It only half works not sure if it's because of the app or the box at the jail but calls can be hard to hear and have a loud buzzing...
